For those that have not heard, Batista's "beat down" on Rey Mysterio at Survivor Series was done to write him off of television. As we have reported here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com Premium, Mysterio's knee is in bad shape and he needs surgery.
Mysterio needs reconstructive surgery on his ACL, but he is said to be considering a less invasive procedure that would allow him to return to the ring earlier. If Mysterio has reconstructive surgery, he'll miss nine months to a year. The other procedure would likely allow him to return by Royal Rumble, but he would still need to have the reconstructive surgery later on.
