Richard Reacts To WWE Money In The Bank

Below is my exclusive analysis to tonight's WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view from the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri:

Pre-Show (7:44 PM EDT): I just put online some photos from inside the arena. Premium Members click here to view and regular visitors click here to view. Welcome to our coverage - the best online!
Opening video (8:01 PM EDT): The open video was very well done. WWE has an awesome production team that creates outstanding videos. There are go the pyros - no announcement of the crowd so it doesn't look like a sellout. Lawler, Cole and Striker as the announce team. Spanish Announce Team at ringside!
Smackdown's Money in the Bank Ladder Match (8:05 PM EDT): This is probably my last time stamp. I work better on bullet points. I'm glad they're opening with Smackdown's Money in the Bank Ladder Match as MITB matches are perfect openers and should get the crowd hot for the night. McIntyre promised this match would be better than the Raw one. We'll see.
* We're not even to the 10 minute mark and Michael Cole just called it the Money in the Ladder match.
* Big Show just cleared the ring and that's probably a good thing. It makes me nervous seeing how crowded the ring gets, especially with ladders involved. Now all the workers are gaining up on Big Show, another obvious booking point to any bout involving Show.
* Matt Hardy was first to setup a ladder in the ring but Christian cut him off. Nothing spectacular yet but the crowd is hot. As much as I think Matt Hardy is overrated, he's over.
* The camera just missed Dolph Ziggler's big bump off the top of the ladder. Unacceptable because it killed the spot. I just looked up at Matt Hardy and thought I saw The Undertaker. Man, I really need to get my prescription filled for those glasses.
* They've isolated Big Show on the outside thus far and that's a good thing. I like the fast-paced workers getting their due on the ladders. McIntyre just cleared the ring.
* Kane is clearing both announce table. Not even one whole match until the Spanish Announce Table loses their monitors. It's almost like a rib having the SAT at ringside as it's going to get destroyed.
* Well, Kofi Kingston has the early "spot of the night". He just did a leg drop off the top of the tall ladder (outside of the ring) onto McIntyre who was on the SAT.
* Big Show just pulled out the 350-pound ladder from Smackdown. Going to be interesting to see how he gets this into the ring.
* That just about turned into botchomania as Show couldn't get the massive ladder in the ring. He didn't look like he hurt himself but he finally got it in.
* Kofi is back in after that nasty spot off the ladder on the outside. Cody Rhodes just hit his head on the ladder after hitting Cross Rhodes on Kingston.
* Kane just tipped the 350-pound ladder over with Big Show on it. Show didn't take a pure fall over the top ropes and it came off really bad. Not a fan of this new ladder because it's too massive to maneuver around.
* Christian and Matt Hardy just took big bumps off the massive ladder. Christian caught his face on the ropes and is bleeding. Big Show is covered with ladders on the outside. McIntyre is getting a boatload of heat as he makes his way into the ring and up the massive ladder.
* Kane wins and gets a huge pop. I didn't like the massive ladder for reasons I mentioned above but the opener accomplished its purpose in that the crowd got hot. The Raw guys should be able to top it but it did it's job for an opener.
* Following a backstage interview featuring WWE Champion Sheamus, it's time for the WWE Divas Championship bout. It'll be interesting to see how much time this gets as this is one of two Diva matches on the pay-per-view card.
* Alicia Fox and Eve Torres should be very proud of their work tonight. Fox retained but the match was better than good and just under great. They utilized their time well and put on an entertaining bout. The crowd died significantly but I don't think Alicia and Eve were to blame - I think that can be blamed on their lack of exposure on Raw. Good job girls!
* I don't like the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship match following the Divas. The Usos are still relatively new to the WWE audience so the crowd is still quiet for the bout.
* The Usos just hit a sweet double team on Tyson Kidd. These guys can work, it's a shame the crowd isn't more into the bout. David Hart Smith didn't even get much of a reaction on the hot tag.
* Smith got the sharpshooter for the win. A very good tag match from a work perspective. It's the right move to leave the titles on The Hart Dynasty because The Uso Brothers are not over enough yet. I wish the crowd would have been more into the bout but WWE could have put it in a better place on the card.
* A lot of people seem to think Kane cashing in tonight isn't out of the realm of possibilities. I haven't heard that, but anything is possible. I'm working on a story that will be up after the PPV regarding his push on Smackdown.
* Rey Mysterio is working at an outstanding rate. He just connected on a great spot outside the ring, almost forgetting he was selling the ankle before the match.
* Another great spot by Mysterio as he countered on Swagger and hit a DDT from the top rope. If you're a wrestling fan - a true wrestling fan - there is no way you cannot enjoy a Mysterio match. He can flat out go!
* Rey retains in a great match. I could go on and on about Rey's work. He's one of the best workers of all-time. Not for his size either. He can hold his own with anyone - past or present. Big pop from the young crowd and Swagger gets a good bit of heat on the post-match beat down. They better watch the cash in.
* Here comes Kane with the briefcase. Well at least I can say I called it. Looks like we'll see a title change here.
* Kane is the new World Heavyweight Champion. The "cashing in" was too predictable. It looks like Rey Mysterio might get some time off now, but I haven't heard that as of yet.
* Both Mrs. Undertaker and Mrs. McIntyre are at ringside for Layla vs. Kelly Kelly. They have a tough act to follow and the crowd isn't anymore into this one.
* The office is way too high up on LayCool to take the title off them right now. The match didn't live up to the match that preceded it.
* Orton pose time. Let's see if the Raw crew can out work the Smackdown crew. I wasn't overly impressed with the in-ring of the opener. High-risk spot here and there and it got the crowd going, but nothing really breath-taking.
* The Miz just looked weak with some offense on Evan Bourne. I'm high up on The Miz but that just looked like it lacked effort. Bourne on the other hand had a nice dropkick earlier in the bout. A perfectly executed dropkick is one of my favorite in-ring maneuvers. Eve hit a couple in her match against Alicia Fox earlier in the night.
* I can't imagine anyone being thrilled about Mark Henry being in this match. This is his second Money in the Bank ladder match but I wouldn't trust him. Hopefully he doesn't work on the ladders, but we'll see.
* There's something about the flimsy ladders I love about this match which is one thing I think the massive ladder took away from the Smackdown Money in the Bank ladder match. It was too sturdy.
* They just had Maryse climb the ladder in the ring, an obviously distraction for DiBiase. Didn't like the outside involvement, it took away from the match.
* Twitter keeps distracting me from this blog. There was a nasty spot where Orton and Edge launched DiBiase out of the ring only for Orton to hit the RKO on Edge.
* The Miz wins the Raw Money in the Bank ladder match. The heat he received when he got to the top of the ladder was proof alone he's ready for such a push. I'm glad Miz won over someone already proven. Give Bourne a little more work with some of the top of the card and he might be in the picture soon. Miz was legitimately emotional after winning. The match didn't outdo the opener. Neither were bad matches but the bar has been set so high for Money in the Bank ladder matches, it was almost impossible for either to top the Wrestlemania bouts. Great promo work by The Miz after the match.
* What's up with the Criss Angel "Mind Freak" commercials? I paid for this didn't I?
* There is no way the Nexus doesn't at least appear in this match. They need to get on with it if they're going to give Cena and Sheamus any time.
* This match has been pretty dull so far. It's amazing how over John Cena is over with the crowd considering the enormous amount of people that hate his character. I do feel the angle with the Nexus has bee the best thing for the Cena character in a couple of years.
* I like the attack of Sheamus on John Cena with Cena hooked into the ropes. Sheamus' in-ring is different to evaluate because he's a guy that has a grounded arsenal, opposed to the high-flying stuff someone like Rey Mysterio does. That being said, he pulls it off well.
* There at the point of the match where the crowd should be hot yet they seemed burned out. This is where a "colorless" cage match (no blood) really hurts the concept. Finally a near fall gets the crowd active again.
* The Nexus to the ring and they just received a monster heel reaction. Tarver had bolt cutters but the referee took them from him. They're now demanding Jack Doan open the cage, he threw the keys into the crowd.
* Sheamus just tapped in the ring but Charles Robinson was down in the ring. I don't like the champion tapping, especially in a cage match. Certainly a false finish.
* Sheamus is the winner and still WWE Champion after he beat Cena out of the cage, scaling the other side. The go-home sequence was my favorite part of the match with the Nexus being involved, trying to prevent both from escaping. Heath Slater took a nasty bump off the side Sheamus was climbing out. The Nexus gimmick is very over, I just hope they do something different on Raw tomorrow to prevent it from going stale. Cena has a cut above his eye, dried blood on it.
* Cena's going crazy at ringside on the Nexus, surely to culminate as a lead-in to Raw and probably setup something for SummerSlam. As I said earlier, the Nexus gimmick has provided the best stuff to John Cena's character in years.
* The pay-per-view goes off the air with the Nexus laid out. Michael Grooms should have his review up on The Blog Spot soon. Thanks for joining me everyone and goodnight!
