Written by Matt on Aug 7, 2008 - 2:32:25 PM

WNW reader Matt sent in the following report of Randy Orton on Sky Sports News in the United Kingdom:

Randy starts off by plugging the SummerSlam PPV and says that he would love to return by SummerSlam after performing in the last five.

He discusses his injury and mentions he will be back in the next few weeks. He takes a question about his daughter and says that he misses her while in London but talks to her, and his wife over the computer chat.

He talks about his family roots in the WWE including his
father and Grandfather and makes a joke about his daughter competing one day in the WWE.

He discusses the travel schedule and the in ring action. He says that you need to able to deal with sleep deprivation to be in the WWE.Randy and the presenter make jokes about Jeff Hardy knocking him down in the Royal Rumble match, and that Randy Orton loves getting the crowd involved as the WWE is an interactive show.

They also make jokes about his attire which he refers to as "Speedos".

He answers a question about which wrestler he would like to fight, if any past or present. He answers Hulk Hogan, again, at SummerSlam. He takes a few digs at him for his surgery in the
past.

He then mentions who he respects the most in the WWE and he says that it's the Undertaker as he is a natural locker room leader, and will answer anything that you want to ask him, as far as competing is concerned.

He says that he will definitely be backstage at SummerSlam and if he feels the need to create havoc he will.

The presenter asks if wrestling takes control over his life and Randy says that being married and a wrestler makes it difficult to do other things and fit time for both.

He is asked how the WWE compares to the WWF ten years ago. Randy replies that it's more athletic and more high flying, but he doesn't do any of that because he is the bad guy and he does that very well.

He is asked who his hero was, and who he wanted to emulate the most, he says his father or outside of that Jake Roberts and tells an anecdote about how Jake would leave his snake in the locker room to scare Randy.

The presenter mentions two British wrestling legends Giant Haystacks and Big Daddy, and Randy mentions that one has passed away, but the presenter doesn't know, which prompts Randy to make a joke about them trying. They ask what Orton would do if not wrestling and he mentions his military career and then talks about physical labour.

A viewer asks what his favourite match was and he said it was the hardcore match between him and Mick Foley.

He describes his diet and says what he needs to do to maintain his shape.

He is asked one final question about how much longer he would
like to wrestle and he says about ten more years, until his late thirties.

They mention how large his wedding ring is and Randy shows off his watch.

Randy plugs SummerSlam once more and mentions its on Sky Box Office on Sunday the 18th of August.

The presenter asks Randy Orton how he mastered and how long it took him to master the RKO. He said that it was merely trial and error and that the RKO is like a neck breaker. He says that he can hit it from anywhere while running, standing from the front or back, and on the tallest or smallest guys.

The interview ends with the presenter saying he was hoping to try something on Orton and Orton jokingly replied "you're welcome to try."
