WWE Stock Added To The "Naked Short List", Mickie James On Psych, Undertaker's Return

- Buyins.net announced yesterday that WWE has been added to the “Naked Short List.” Which according to the SEC website, is the practice of selling a stock short without first borrowing the shares or ensuring that the shares can be borrowed. Naked shorting is not necessarily a violation of the federal securities laws, and can contribute to market liquidity, but is illegal when it drives down stock prices.
The article on Buyins.net claims that data provided by the SEC shows that there were still 11,539 shares of WWE stock that were failing-to-deliver as of August 10, 2007. WWE's stock is up to $15.39 per share today, but it will be interesting to see what the stock does after they announced their Quarter 2 earnings early next month. - The USA Network has announced that WWE Raw diva Mickie James will be appearing on an upcoming episode of “Psych.” Since Raw signed back with the network, they have been inter-branding their Superstars on some of the top-rated shows on the network.
