WWE Championship Match
- CM Punk (c) w/Paul Heyman vs. John Cena
Cole and JBL turn their attention right to CM Punk vs. John Cena, and we get a video package highlighting their recent run-ins. This is a bit surprising, although it looks like Cena/Punk will get a lot of time.
The entrances:
Paul Heyman is in the ring with a mic. He says although he’s from New York, he’s just like every single person in Boston, Mass. He’s here to witness history as your reigning, defending champion, CM Punk, in his 302nd consecutive day as the WWE Champion. He’s here to pay respect to the title and champion. To a man of such extraordinary character that he calls himself a Paul Heyman guy. Punk’s music hits, and the champion gets a pretty mixed reaction on his way out to the ring.
John Cena is out next, and he too gets a pretty mixed reaction, but there are a whole bunch of cheers in there. Cena is, of course, sporting his new pink gear, and he races down to the ring for the main event of the evening.
