A video recap was shown of Tommaso Ciampa turning on Johnny Gargano at the previous NXT Takeover event.

Footage was shown of Roderick Strong being consoled by his family after coming up short in last week's title match against Bobby Roode.

1) Aleister Black def. Bobby Fish by pinfall in 10:05 after hitting him with Black Mass. Fish got a pretty good pop for his NXT debut.

Footage was shown of Hideo Itami & Kassius Ohno losing to SAnity after some miscommunication between the babyface team. Cameras then caught up with Itami and Ohno in the backstage area where Itami blamed the loss on his partner. Ohno said that he was done talking to him and that he's all action before walking away.

A video was shown for the upcoming tag team known as Street Profits.

Footage was shown from two weeks ago of The Velveteen Dream blowing off an interview with correspondent Kayla Braxton.

2) Vanessa Borne def. Jayme Hachey by pinfall in a Mae Young Qualifying Match in 1:52 when she hit her with a modified pumphandle slam.

Footage was shown from last week of SAnity attacking Drew McIntyre in the parking lot.

William Regal informed Bobby Roode that both Killian Dain and Drew McIntyre are undefeated and both want shots at Roode's NXT Championship. Roode suggests that Dain could face McIntyre so Regal makes it happen next week on NXT with the winner getting a shot at Roode's championship at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn.

Johnny Gargano made his return and came down to the ring in street clothes. He said he didn't know if he would ever understand why Tommaso Ciampa turned his back on him but he will move forward regardless as "Johnny Wrestling."

3) The Authors of Pain [w/Paul Ellering] def. Heavy Machinery by pinfall to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship in 8:55 when they hit Otis with the Last Chapter. After the contest, SAnity (minus Eric Young) appeared at the top of the stage with pages from a book falling from the ceiling.
