The show opens with Nikki Cross and the rest of Sanity appearing in the ring to call out The Authors of Pain. The NXT Tag Team Champions make their way out and the teams go to war. Eric Young returns and handcuffs Rezar to the barricade. Sanity absolutely destroys them and celebrates by raising up the belts.

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay are filming a video of themselves backstage when Ruby Riot walks in the background and "ruins" it.

1) The Street Profits def. The Metro Brothers via top rope splash in 2 minutes. Dawkins and Ford looked impressive in their TV debut, and I look forward to seeing more from them.

We see footage of Black and Itami brawling in the parking lot, which lead to Regal booking a singles match for TakeOver.

William Regal is in the ring to moderate the face-to-face confrontation. Drew McIntyre enters, then Bobby Roode. Security surrounds the ring as they make their claims back and forth until Roderick Strong interrupts. Strong makes his claim, which leads to Roode "booking" Strong vs. McIntyre for next week. Regal agrees - if Strong beats Drew next week, he'll get a title match after TakeOver.

Johnny Gargano is interviewed backstage about how he's feeling. He's doing fine now and reflects on last year's event in Brooklyn. He wants to feel that crowd reaction again. He's making it official that he wants a match in just under two weeks.

2) Danny Burch def. Oney Lorcan via counter pinfall in 10 minutes. Burch offers his hand after the match, but Lorcan slaps it away initially. Lorcan finally turns around and they shake hands and share words. Burch lets Oney out of the ring as a sign of respect.

3) Andrade "Cien" Almas def. No Way Jose via Hammer Lock DDT in 3:48. Zelina Vega was in Cien's corner this week to cheer him on. Afterwards, Zelina grabs a mic and says if Gargano is still looking for a TakeOver opponent, he's got one.
