– John Cena vs. John Laurinaitis
A video package is shown hyping John Cena vs. John Laurinaitis. It shows the recent history between these two men, and the events that led up to this match.
John Laurinaitis is the first man to make his way out to the ring. He gets a good bit of heat on his way out, but the crowd really just seems like they don’t care about seeing him.
John Cena is out to the ring next, and he still gets a pretty big mixed reaction, mostly positive though, surprising since he’s going up against the biggest heel in the company right now.
Laurinaitis is wearing a pretty ridiculous bodysuit. Ace tries to run out of the ring and into the crowd immediately.
Cena brings him back into the ring and take Johnny to the mat. Cena takes Ace into the corner and pulls up his shirt, chopping him to the chest and back. Cena shoulders Ace and goes for an airplane spin, putting Ace down on the mat. Ace gets up to his feet, and immediately falls out of the ring.
Cena grabs the ring bell and rings it repeatedly next to Ace’s head before taking the GM and slamming him head first into the announce table a couple of times. Cena borrows one of the Spanish announcer’s chairs and places him in the seat, putting the headphones on Ace. Cena puts on the headphones and it’s pretty corny as Cena pokes fun at Booker and Cole. Cena slams Ace into the announce table and then brings things back into the ring. Johnny holds out his hand, offering to shake with Cena.
Cena slams Johnny to the mat and hits a big elbow drop. Cena heads to the outside and grabs a mic. He grabs Johnny’s leg and says that he’s got an idea. He says he’s about to put Johnny in the STF. If he taps out, he’s fired. Cena says he’ll let go of the hold if Ace can last ten seconds and the crowd can help count along. Ace is able to last, and Cena breaks the hold. Cena says this is a good new bad new scenario, the good news is Johnny made it, but Cena is going to do it again. Cena locks it in again, and Ace makes it ten more seconds. Cena grabs the mic and says he’s exhausted and could use a drink. He goes over to grab a water, taking a swig before saying Ace looks parched too. He grabs a couple more bottles of water and brings them into the ring. Cena pours a bottle of water over Ace’s head, then another.
Cena pours a fourth bottle of water down Ace’s pant. Cena heads to the outside and goes under the ring to grab a fire extinguisher. Cena heads back into the ring and Ace sees it, begging off. Cena uses the fire extinguisher, blasting Johnny with it. Johnny rolls to the outside and Cena follows, slamming him into the barricade. He goes back to the timekeeper’s area and grabs a trashcan, dumping its contents on Johnny’s head.
Ace tries to leave through the crowd again, but Cena catches him. Ace catches Cena’s injured arm, and heads back into the ringside area. Ace slams Cena’s arm on the announcer’s table, then sends him into the ring steps. Johnny sends things back into the ring and he grabs a chair, hitting Cena repeatedly before going for a quick pin. Cena kicks out at two. Ace grabs the chair again, standing over Cena. Cena blocks a chair shot and hits Johnny with the chair instead. Cena uses the chair to drive down into Johnny’s face.
Ace hits Cena with a low blow then bails to the outside. Johnny crawls over the barricade to head out into the crowd again. Ace is crawling and limping away from the action, making his way away from the ring as quickly as possible. Cena is in the ring and doesn’t look to be following him. Ace heads out of the arena.
Ace is brought back into the arena by Big Show, who marches Laurinaitis back down to the ring with his hand around his throat. Show brings Ace back into the ring the hard way. Ace sits in the middle of the ring between Cena and Show. Ace tries to crawl out of the ring, but Show stands on Ace’s hand to stop him. Ace stands and Cena scares him right into Show’s grasp.
Show pushes Ace into Cena, and Cena shoulders Ace. Show blasts Cena with a knockout punch and Cena goes down. Laurinaitis pins Cena, and this one is over.
Winner: John Laurinaitis
