Financial Times reported on Monday that YouTube is close to unveiling their à la carte subscription service for specialist video channels. The move, which has been in the works for months, could be announced as early as this week.
According to the report, WWE has already signed on as a partner for the new service. The channels are being priced as low as $1.99 a month.
We first reported plans of a paid WWE YouTube channel in January but pondered a WWE Network tie-in at the time. That doesn't appear to be the case as this looks like there will be a paid subscription WWE channel available on YouTube although it's unknown if it will replace the company's current free channel.
