Winner & new US Champion Matt Hardy (US Championship History)
Richard Reacts: That surprised me. I thought for sure they would have it end dirty with MVP retaining. The match itself was fine but fairly basic. There was nothing that was going to get you on the edge of your seat but it was good enough to open the show. As for Mick Foley, he did an OK job, but he by no means is to the level where JBL was before he left. Foley is very knowledgeable and should improve in time.
Backstage Segment - Matt Hardy
Backstage with Eve Torres and Matt Hardy. She introduces him as the new WWE United States Champion. Hardy runs down all his title wins and says that this is the biggest championship win of his career. He says that he had to work so hard to get here. Hardy says it's the best day of his life. Hardy says he only has one thing to say to him, 'I am better than you!' Eve says Matt will be wearing that smile all night long.
Richard Reacts: That was hilarious. The best night of his life, the biggest win of his career, what the heck? It's the US Championship, a belt that no one cares about. That made Hardy look like a huge jobber.
ECW Championship Match
Chavo Guerrero vs. Kane (c)
Mike Adamle on the mic folks! It's time for the ECW Championship match as Chavo Guerrero comes out first with his bodyguard Bam Neeley. Cue promotional video. Chavo goes to the top rope but Kane goes for the chokeslam. Chavo knocks him off the top rope and with the Frog Splash. He gets caught with a choke slam and Kane gets the pinfall.
Winner and still ECW Champion - Kane
Richard Reacts: Not bad at all. It's hard to believe WWE can book a competitive match between two people after Chavo already got squashed but they did a decent job. Adamle is still horrible and if you didn't order, be glad you don't have to listen to it. Mike, please never roll your Rs when saying the Guerrero name ever again. Someone needs to teach Adamle what a chop is and the fact that you have to call the moves when they are executed, not 10 or 15 seconds later. Kane retains clean.
Backstage Segment - Randy Orton
Backstage with Todd Grisham and WWE Champion Randy Orton. Orton builds his title defense later tonight.
The Great Khali vs. Big Show
I am so excited for this match I can't stand it. They go to a 'Tale of the Tape' type feature along with shots of Michael Cole and Mick Foley talking about the feud. Paul gets him in the turnbuckles and finally gets the hold broken. Show slams Khali. Show gets the cover for a two count. Khali counters with a right and a boot. He attempts the Khali Bomb but Big Show counters. Big Show chokeslams Khali with authority and gets the cover for the pinfall.
Winner - Big Show
Richard Reacts: I was expecting the worst and while we got a pretty boring match I have to give it to Paul Wight for trying to make it work. It seems like he just told Khali to keep it simple and he would take care of the rest. Khali didn't look to offer Show much help when Show slammed him or chokeslammed him. Show is probably glad that is over. I know I am.
Backstage Segment - John Cena, Jimmy Wang Yang, Randy Orton
We're backstage with John Cena talking to Jimmy Wang Yang about country music. WWE Champion Randy Orton cuts in the scene and says that a win is not going to happen and that he is going to go home disappointed just like he did at WrestleMania. Cena says win, lose, or draw Orton is going to go home a broken man.
Richard Reacts: Cena talking to Wang Yang about country music? That was random!

Special Guest Referee: Chris Jericho
Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross plug the Raw main event and then Michaels vs. Batista with Jericho as the special referee. Cue the promotional videos building to the match.

Shawn Michaels' music starts and he comes out to a pop from the fans as well. HBK has his normal cut up t-shirt on and cowboy hat along with his normal ring gear. Jericho calls Batista off and checks on Michaels. Batista goes after Michaels but Batista backs him away again. Michaels ends up getting up and nails Sweet Chin Music. Jericho delivers the three count. Shawn wins.
Winner - Shawn Michaels
Richard Reacts: That match was a lot of fun but way too early on the card. It looked like Michaels could have really hurt his knee but these days you never know. After the match Jericho helped Michaels to the back at first but tweo other referees ended up taking him to the back. It's surprising to me that the match had a clean finish but again it seemed like an abrupt way to finish. Nonetheless the match was of PPV quality and I enjoyed it. Having Jericho as the special guest referee was pretty pointless but I will say that Jericho was one heck of a referee. I guess they just wanted Jericho's face on the show but they should be doing a heck of a lot more with him. After reading his book I have no doubt that Jericho wanted to be the best referee on the show!
Backstage Segment - Triple H & Randy Orton
Backstage with Triple H, WWE Champion Randy Orton comes into the shot. Orton says he will leave Triple H broken, battered, and beaten. He says he will leave as he came - the WWE Champion. The faces, WWE Women's Champion Mickie James, Maria, Ashley, Michelle McCool, Cherry, & Kelly Kelly are out next. Michelle McCool and Beth Phoenix star things out. Beth hits her Fisherman's Suplex and gets the pinfall.
Winners - Beth Phoenix, Melina, Jillian Hall, Layla, Victoria, & Natalya
Richard Reacts: There is nothing to say other than what did you expect? It was pretty much what I thought it would be with a few good spots here and there. The problem with matches involving so many people is that there is not enough time for anyone to really stand out. Natalya took a backseat and that's rather disappointing. Beth avenged her loss by hitting her finisher on Ashley.

Vickie cries from the apron and Long looks on expressionless. Blood pours out of Edge's mouth. Vickie gets in the ring to check on Edge.
Richard Reacts: Excellent match with a brilliant finish. They loaded Edge on a stretcher to take him out of the ring. Edge and Undertaker did it again by hitting all of their spots and making the near falls very convincing. I loved the finish with it looking like Edge was going to pull the upset only to get stuck in Undertaker's choke. Edge was not booked to look weak as this should end their feud.
They play off Edge's 'injuries' as serious and severe as Foley and Cole take a serious tone. Vickie is screaming as we go to replays. I forgot to mention in my Richard Reacts in the last post that Mick Foley talked way too much during certain parts of the match. He would provide good commentary but after making his point he kept going on and on and on. Perhaps he is nervous.

Winner and new WWE Champion Triple H (WWE Championship History)
Richard Reacts: Another good match but I don't like the title change in the Fatal Four Way. I understand now why they got Cena and JBL out early, seeing as they were going to do the change. There was talk of Orton keeping the strap but apparently Hunter felt that he has waited enough. I would rather see the WWE Title change hands in a singles type match instead of a match with hardcore stipulations. Nonetheless Triple H is the new WWE Champion in what was a very solid match.
