WWE Raw Audience Dips Below 4 Million Viewers

This week's episode of Monday Night Raw saw the audience drop below 4 million viewers, posting an average viewership of 3,973,667 viewers on the USA Network. Below is how the audience broke down by hour:

Hour one - 3,859,000 viewers
Hour two - 4,057,000 viewers
Hour three - 4,005,000 viewers

WWE knew they were up against stiff competition with the Emmys and it didn't help they delivered their second-biggest overall audience in eight years. The company tried to get out in front of the problem by announcing Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels beforehand but it didn't work.

RAW was doing 4.3-4.5 million viewers a few weeks ago. I hate to say it but one of the reasons why the ratings have dipped could be because of Brock Lesnar. Once he started the build with Cena the ratings started to drop. Go to this link and look at the numbers since the night after WM: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/tag/wwe-raw-ratings/

Also, when Daniel Bryan left the ratings started to go up for hour 2 and 3 — a trend that wasn’t happening before that. So not sure about your Daniel Bryan theory.

Another problem is that when they feature Brock they aren’t making the fans wait all show for him. Why wouldn’t you make fans watch for 2 hours and 50 minutes before bringing Brock out? And using Steph/Brie in the final segment on two RAW’s was a terrible move — they haven’t recovered the audience since then. Before that RAW was getting 4.5 million viewers for certain hours.
