What will happen with Punk returning home to Chicago tonight?
Steph and Trip will address the Superstars who sided with Bryan last week on RAW!

Video

Angelo Savaldi passed away at 99, and McMahon narrated a lovely little video in tribute.

Video

Recap of Bryan beating Orton for the WWE Title, but then losing the Title the next night on RAW because Trip stripped him of the belt because the count was fast and tainted. After the belt was taken, Orton beat Bryan down. In the main event Bryan faced Reigns, but then beaten down by The Shield until the ten Superstars ran to Bryan’s side in the ring.

In Ring Segment

The ten Superstars are lined up on the stage, waiting. Trip and Steph are announced and come out. There’s a mic in a stand at the top of the ramp. Steph in a blue dress, black blazer, and black knee high boots (the dress and jacket really clash), Trip in his power suit, pink shirt, and silver tie. The Shield across the bottom of the ramp.

Steph and Trip talk up Chicago, and then go on to the ten on the stage holding up Bryan chanting “YES!” “YES!” “YES!” They have seen the social media about if they will be punished, fired.

Trip – We’ve asked you here to say one thing.

Pregnant pause.

Steph – Thank you! Thank you for taking matters in your own hands. Thank you for stepping up to the plate. Thank you for finally being men.

Trip – Thank you for finally stepping up. I know it had nothing to do with Bryan in this ring.

RVD – The fact is, and I think I speak for everyone up here, we were fighting for Bryan. You screwed him over, would do the same for us. We were only doing what was right.

RVD! RVD!
Trip – I find it hard to believe you were fighting for Bryan. I never saw Superstars fighting for a WWE Champion, I always thought the Superstars fought to be a WWE Champion. Ziggler is that how you feel. You were fighting for Bryan who’s had opportunity after opportunity as WWE Champion that he’s squandered. Not fighting for you? You’re saying Bryan should get another opportunity at Battleground, possibly the opportunity that Ziggler should have had?

Steph – Or R-Truth. When was the last time you had a Championship match? I can’t remember. Why shouldn’t you be The face of the WWE? Or you Ryder, you should be The face of the WWE. There’s one reason you collectively you don’t have it right now and it’s because of…

Trip – The Shield. I understand your frustration as The Shield has run roughshod over this place since they came in the door. They have collectively beaten down each and every one of you. I can sense that frustration among all of you. It has nothing to do with Bryan. Last week’s show of unity had to do with The Shield. I’m going to give you an opportunity to take that out tonight. I’m going to give everyone of you, Darren Young, Titus O’Neil, Usos, RVD, Ziggler, Kofi, Ryder, R-Truth, Gabriel. All of you are going to get to take that frustration out tonight when you face them in a Handicap Elimination Match against The Shield. And I’m going to give you a partner, hopefully a partner that will hopefully work for you as much as you work for him. A guy who feels he should get another shot at Battleground, someone who thinks he should be Champ. Your partner will be Bryan.

Steph – The first ever 11 on 3 Handicap Match, but that’s not all, we wanted to say thank you to those men on that stage, but also the WWE ‘Universe’, so here’s what we’re going to do tonight. You get the chance to decide who will face Orton tonight. Will it be R-Truth? Dolph Ziggler? Or RVD? All you have to do is download the App, because we believe in doing what’s best for all of you.

Trip – Because what’s best for all of you is what’s what’s best for business.

The Shield looks shocked and confused as they discuss their spot tonight.

Miz TV

Miz to the ring, looking pissed, holding his left arm strangely close to his body. Video of the way Orton destroyed Miz in front of his folks last week.

Miz – Normally I’d come out here with a smile on my face and welcome you to the show, but I’m banged up and pissed off. Last week I was humiliated in front of my friend, family, my mother. Orton, be known that knocking me down is easier than keeping down. Orton, payback will come and it will be awesome. I wasn’t the only one seeking medical attention last week. Per Steph McMahon, a most beloved HOFer was knocked out by my guest, Big Show.

Big Show to the ring. Video of Big Show knocking Dusty out last week on RAW.

Miz – Show, I’ve known you for nearly a decade, we’ve been TTCs and competitors, and respect you as a man, but how did you do that to Dusty Rhodes? A man who was a father figure to you, a mentor to you. How could you do that? I get that you have personal issues and that Steph and Trip are taking advantage of you. If you hadn’t then The Shield would have beaten Dusty down. They’re trying to break you because you’re the largest guy in the locker room. If they can break you, they can break anyone, that’s what they think. The Superstars are stepping up, and it’s time for you to step up. Stop letting that castrating witch demeanor demoralize you, and step up! Stand up and look her in the eye, and…

Steph’s music hits and she comes to the ring with a slight smirk on her face, very slight. Steph motions for Big Show’s mic.

Steph – I’m going to let most of that slide as you like to shake things up on Miz TV, but there’s no reason to berate Big Show. Your line of questioning is disrespectful, and Trip and I think it’s borderline slander.

Miz – You’re going to make veiled legal threats? You can take your legal threats and shove them straight up your ass.

Steph – Whoa, Miz. Very original. Let me say that the reason you’re doing this right now is you’re living on your own culdisac of disappointment. Considering the beating you took at the hands of Orton last week was humiliating. You know you’re not a major player Miz, and there’s nothing worse than a Superstar who peaks too early. You do have value. You’re what we call a utility player. When there’s a radio show early in the morning, call Miz. When there’s a media event in some far off corner of the world, we call… When there’s a supermarket opening, Miz, you’re our guy. It’s not like you had chances. The stakes couldn’t have been higher in your home town. I watched the look in your mom’s eye go from hope to disappointment. You failed her. You failed your family and friends. You failed yourself. Orton dismembered you in this ring, and you couldn’t measure up. You never learn your lesson because here you are. Sorry to have to do this to you Miz, Big Show, knock him out.

Big Show immediately turns Miz and punches him out, then leaves the ring. Steph stands over Miz, then closes his jacket over his motionless body. Video recap of the punch. Steph is leaving the stage and the doctors are checking on Miz.

AJ – Thank you, I want to talk about this ridiculous match against the Bellas. Can’t they go on hiatus as well. I think my tag partners might turn on me, pretty sure they hate me. This is no way to be treating your Divas Champion.
Steph – Oh. (As Steph steps right up in AJ’s face.)
AJ – Boss Lady, you’re all up in my personal space.
Steph – AJ, this company is my personal space. You will be in the 10 Divas Tag Match, or maybe you won’t be Divas Champ much longer.

WWE Rewind

Recap of Heyman defeating Punk with the help of Ryback.

In Ring Segment

Punk’s music and the arena goes wild! Punk out in a Blackhawks jersey #2 Kieth, proudly stands on the stage taking it all in, before heading to the ring. He says, damn, off mic at their reaction to him coming out to the ring. Cole says Punk will face Ryback at Battleground. The fans keep going well after the music ends. Punk just keeps sucking it in.

Punk – You ruined a perfectly good bad mood, you know that. I haven’t smiled in 8 days, but came out here and can’t help myself. The person I’m looking at knows how hard I tried to get the cup here tonight, and tried real hard, but I feel that because I didn’t produce the cup, I let people down. Not smiling because I let people down. In Detroit I let people down.

“CM Punk!”

Punk – That’s a chant for another time. I let you down. It’s going to say that Heyman pinned Punk, and that bums me out. I don’t know if I can do this anymore. Maybe I don’t deserve to wear this sweater, or perform in front of the best wrestling crowd in the world. I let everyone down so bad that I don’t deserve to say I’m from Chicago. But then I come out here to one hell of an ovation, and I put this sweater on and wear it in pride. I remember being down 3 games to one to a very tough Red Wings team. Blackhawks didn’t put their heads down, didn’t feel like they let everyone down, and came back to tie it, then a game 7, then game 7 overtime! That is the Chicago way. Maybe we lose, sometimes the other city gets the better of us, we get beat up, but we pick ourselves up by our bootstraps, then got to work the next next day. I proud of this team, this sweater, god damn #$%^&*()*&^%$ the people. If I let you down, if I’m down three games, I’m going to come back, tie that somebitch up, and take it to overtime, because that’s the Chicago way. I’m here live and in living color. Chicago, I want a fight and I don’t care if it’s Axel, Ryback, if it’s…

Heyman rolls out singing New York, New York to HUGE heat! He introduces himself.

Punk – Wrong place wrong time, and you’re about to catch a bigger beating than before, because you’re in Chicago, because I have 18,000 people who will bail my ass out of jail after I put my hands on you.

“CM Punk!”

Heyman – I don’t need for you to remind me of the beating I took in Detroit. I’ve been in physical therapy since NoC, and suffered a relapse that has me confined to this contraption because of you. I take solace because I can walk through life saying I beat CM Punk. I don’t want you to feel sorry for yourself about it, you shouldn’t. It’s not your fault, it’s geography, you’re from Chicago, the 2nd city. 2Nd place team, 2nd place parents which you were born to, and 2nd best in the world. People of the jury, exhibit A. (A still of Heyman draped over Punk.)

“Walrus!”

Heyman – I may be a walrus, but I pinned the biggest shark in the city of Chicago.

Punk – Paul, I’m not stupid, I know how this ends, but you should know… (to a fan who yells at Punk) Oh, I’m going to go get him. (back to Heyman) But I thought you should know, when I jump out of this ring and make a move to you, can your two goons get to me faster than I can get to you. You have to ask that. All I need is two seconds. I’m no longer going to break your face, I’m going to rip your face off.

Heyman – You know, if you do make a move, I want you to keep in mind, I not only beat you, but with both hands tied behind my back. With that I bid you all a fair ado.

Heyman tries to back his jazzy up the ramp, but it’s dead! Punk rushes Heyman, but Ryback and Axel attack from each side. They taunt pnkas Heyman cowers. Punk fights back, gets rid of Ryback off the ramp, but Axel gets control, beating Punk down. Axel sets Punk up, but it’s Axel who hits the back of the stage. Punk turns, then dives off the stage, getting great air, before landing on Ryback. Punk all over Ryback, then into part of the back of the stage and breaks a chunk out. Axel from behind, but he’s taken down. Ryback from behind rips at the jersey, then sends Punk into the same spot, breaking out another chunk. Off comes the jersey and Punk into an anvil case. Ryback raises Punk high in the air, struggles, then drops him through a table.

Heyman to his feet, walks to the side of the stage, jumps off, and brings his mic to Ryback.

Ryback – This is what happens to bullies, hahaha.

“Goldberg!”

Axel, Ryback and Heyman regroup by the ramp.

“CM Punk!”

Backstage Segment

Ambrose – Did Trip and the lovely Steph throw us to the wolves tonight, or are we the hounds that hunt the wolves, hunt them down and eat them alive. Did this match come about because we’ve been beating them all down? Doesn’t matter what their beefs are, it’s what’s best for business. Are backs are kind of up against the wall? Refresh me of what happens when our backs are against the wall!

Rollins – Oh, I don’t know! We just revolutionize the business, change the game from inside out, make everyone take notice.

Ambrose – Most of all we win! We’re winners! We’re studs and tonight we’re going to do out jobs, simple as that.

Reigns – Believe in… (camera pans to their belts)

Slice of WWE Action

Bryan beat Orton at NoC, but then lost the strap on RAW when Scott sold Bryan out.

In Ring Segment

Bryan out to huge “YES!” “YES!” “YES!” chants with him. “Daniel Bryan!” chants stop Bryan from talking when he was going to. He’s all smiles.
Bryan – You guys are awesome. But I have something to talk about. Last week I was stripped of the WWE Championship because I was accused of conspiring with Scott Armstrong. Like I’d say to Scotty, could you, if I could conceivably win, could you use a fast count? I’m not the smartest man, but you don’t need to fast count when a man is knocked out. If you want to talk conspiracies, what about Orton and Trip. And after firing Scott, Trip gave him such a reasonable deal. A lot of money, that’s weird. I don’t know what happened at NoC, but what’s done is done. It doesn’t matter what version of Orton shows up, it doesn’t change the outcome, that I take back what’s mine, the WWE Championship! No fast counts, no guest refs, no excuses. I’m sick of Orton hiding behind his boss’s skirts, because there will be no hiding, because the next day when Orton wakes up from the beating that this B+ goat faced troll gives him, when all their fans to screw me over have failed, he’ll hear one word over and over in the back of his brain, and it’s going to be the word that the arena will be chanting after I win, “YES!” “YES!” “YES!”

The Shield’s music hits, and out they come. Just after they come over the barricade The Shield is attacked by two men in black. The hood comes down to show one is painted in gold and black. Security all over him, and what ends up to be his brother Cody! The Shield is shaken as it takes three members of security to remove each of the brothers from the ringside area!

Hello everyone! I’m back this week and ready to go. I still have the plague Jesse somehow gave me from a thousand miles away, and he managed to get it back, so we’re both all phlegmy and cranky. What I’m saying is please be kind to both of us tonight as we’re both off our game, and as usual, be kind to each other.

Can you get a corneal ulcer from the plague?

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Interesting question. As RAW is going to start soon, I will have to research that later!

        • David Jr.

Since I got one in my left eye, maybe I got from Jesse.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Huh, well, I say we blame him until we learn differently.

          • David Jr.

Hopefully my eye is ok, so I can participate tonight.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Close the eye and run with the other tonight. We would miss you otherwise.

          • David Jr.

            Will do.

          • Jesse Sherwood

            NO! We blame Gesus!

          • David Jr.

I’m going to blame Gene Snitsky

          • Justin Mayo

            It WASN’T his fault!!!

  • Xavier

I’m very interesting in seeing how Triple H deals with the uprising of the locker room.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I’m sure he will do what’s best for business.

  • Jesse Sherwood

Welcome to this week’s Raw Watch Party! I am your co-host Jesse Sherwood and we have a great show lined up tonight! Let’s Break it Down!

    1. After the locker room emptied out to aid Daniel Bryan from yet another beating by Randy Orton and The Shield, what consequences will HHH levy against his employees?

    2. Speaking of the Viper, Stephanie McMahon ripped him apart last week and caused him to revert back to the twisted, remorseless psychopath he was once! Who will be in his path this week, and will they be able survive his onslaught?

    3. Speaking of Stephanie, after leaving the fate of Dusty Rhodes’ two son’s careers in his hands, Dusty abstained from making a choice and thus caused Big Show to make the choice to knock him out instead of the Shield injuring him! Will this be the week Show snaps and finally fights against the machine?

    4. Paul Heyman laid a lot of love onto Ryback last week after his save at Night of Champions. But Punk wasn’t at Raw last week to confront the weasel and his muscle! With Raw in his hometown of Chicago, we are assured there will be fireworks tonight!

All of this and more will happen tonight! What are you looking forward to?

  • Alex Gallardo

I hate watching Raw in Chicago. Mostly because I’m not there watching it live.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I’m pissed because my good friend, and fellow writer, Gesus is at RAW right now. That means that tonight everyone can harass and bash Gesus – nicely! He has to know that leaving us to attend an actual live show will result in friendly abuse behind his back.

      • Alex Gallardo

I also know someone who is going tonight. I’m just glad I got the chance to go to Payback this year.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Lucky! I haven’t been to a televised show in over a year. Though I was able to bring my daughter Sam to her first WWE show and she loved it!

          • Alex Gallardo

Yeah, it was my second behind ER 2012. And I really want to go to a TNA show now so that’s what I’m saving up for.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Some of the best live wrestling we’ve seen was at TNA show. The work and the way they improvised to work the crowd was awe inspiring.

          • Alex Gallardo

It’s cheaper and I’ll see Hogan, plus I heard they are very good with getting the crowd involved.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

When I went a group around me was riding Daniels for his DUI (quite a while ago), and he worked off their chants in his match like no one I’ve ever seen. It was fantastic to watch!

Yeah, I know Hogan is a biggie for you.

          • Alex Gallardo

I would also be crossing off two things from my wrestling bucket list by going to a TNA show. Seeing Hulk Hogan live and going to a TNA show.

          • Jesse Sherwood

Well, I saw him back in March when TNA was in Jonesboro, so that is off of mine. Now to visit Titan Towers and to meet Mick Foley!

          • Alex Gallardo

Lucky. I wasn’t able to see him in March when TNA first went on the road, but I’m still determined.

          • Jesse Sherwood

He ended up getting booed out of the building by the end of it, but that was during the whole Sting/HH flap over Lockdown and he kicked Sting out of the building.

          • Alex Gallardo

Well Hogan still gets a lot of pops.

          • Jesse Sherwood

Oh yeah! He had the pop of the night as well as most heat!

          • Alex Gallardo

And I find it funny that Hogan gets bigger pops than Cena.

          • David Jr.

I’d say Cena gets bigger pops plus bigger heat.

          • Alex Gallardo

But he gets a lot more heat than pops. Besides WWE has bigger arenas with a lot of kids in it who don’t know who Hogan even is.

          • Xavier

Hogan gets bigger pops then anyone.

          • Alex Gallardo

He’s household name and his name has been carried since the 80s to everyone.

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Good evening everyone. Hope you all enjoy Raw, and I hope some lively discussions and debates stem from it tonight.

    • Alex Gallardo

I can’t really debate while watching Raw, but I’ll be giving my thoughts on it.

      • Navin T. Ramkissoon

That’s what I meant heh. Lively Discussion, Thoughts and Opinions.

        • Alex Gallardo

But I’ll say this, like in my description I give my thoughts on wrestling, but they sure don’t go over with everyone.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

But, as you have learned, you won’t get deleted or banned here for having your own voice. I’m so glad you’ve joined us Alex!

          • Alex Gallardo

No problem. This place is a nice place from the smark cesspools I normally visit.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

We try. There are sometimes issues, and RAW is usually when they happen, but still not as bad as what you’ve mentioned that you’ve dealt with.

          • Alex Gallardo

TRUST ME. No site is as bad as them

  • CJ Blaze

I went to a live event last night in Springfield, wish I was in Chicago right now! I will be giving a detailed report on WWENews.net, so watch out for it in the coming days. Hope this episode is a good one!

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Just wanted to get your opinions on something guys. I think the Wyatt Family should have been involved in a meaningful feud after the Ring of Fire Match with Kane. I think a feud would have helped people get more acquainted with the styles of Rowan and Harper. The thing is though who can they feud with to help them get more established in the WWE? Bray also needs to wrestle some more, he is phenomenal on the mic but I would like to see just a bit more of him in the ring.

    • Xavier

I here where your coming from. However, the problem with booking the Wyatts right now is that there aren’t any real top faces for them to feud with at the moment. Cena, Sheamus, Mysterio & Henry are all out hurt and Punk, Bryan & Rhodes are currenty involved in other feuds at the moment.

      • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Fair point. I think this may hurt them in the long run however. I hope I am wrong. Lets wait and see

  • Alex Gallardo

Just watching that 2 minute live preview for Raw made me so angry I’m not there.

  • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Last week was so much fun hanging out with you guys here that I have to admit that I’m a bit bummed that I’m writing the RAW Results and won’t have much of a chance to talk. Now that I really know what I’m missing, it’s that much harder.

    • Jesse Sherwood

Well, when you are caught up to the live show, pop in like Alex does!

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I plan on it, and will as long as Trip keeps his yap shut!

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

I hate to say but I’m missing the first hour this week, Ted meets the mother tonight, and I didn’t wait nine seasons to watch it on dvr

    • Jesse Sherwood

I understand that one Mike! But I am just slightly more devoted to WWE the Ted Mosby!

      • David Jr.

        I thought you idolized NPH?

        • Jesse Sherwood

I do, but WNW is my familia! I am here passing out from cold meds yet again so I can keep you guys entertained!

      • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

as am I but I think watching for 3 hours live 52 days a year earns one day off hahahaha

        • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

fortunately I have Kendra so I don’t have to catch up on dvr

  • Alex Gallardo

    RAW IS NOW!

  • Robbie

    I’M HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE

    • Jesse Sherwood

And there is no Gesus to abuse, as he is at Raw LIVE!

      • Robbie

        We only need me!

  • Jesse Sherwood

    From Gesus:

    • jomo12

Oh snap, I was sitting not too far from Gesus!

  • Robbie

    Stephanie is the owner?

    • The Breaker

      I had the same question.

  • Xavier

Great to see guys like the Titus, Young & The Usos getting involved in this angle.

  • savokes

Wassup peoples…here’s to a good night…thaaaaaat starts off with HHH =/

  • Jesse Sherwood

Yet another 20 minute McMahon/Helmsley promo!

    • David Jr.

How many time will Triple H say best for business?

      • Jesse Sherwood

        At least 5-6!

        • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

          (per show)

  • Jesse Sherwood

And the Chi-town crowd is alive!

    • Alex Gallardo

      But I’m not there :-(

  • Jesse Sherwood

“R-Truth, When was the last time you had a Championship opportunity?” 2 years ago! Steph, you have a real short memory!

    • Xavier

Most people probably don’t remember that though. Capital Punishment or whatever that PPV was called was pretty forgettable

    • The Breaker

Truth himself probably doesn’t even remember, so why bring it up?

      • Xavier

        Lol

    • Alex Gallardo

SHHHH if Vince says it never happened it never happened!

  • Jesse Sherwood

11 on 3 handicap match? That’s not lopsided at all!

  • savokes

Hmmmmm…I’m interested to see where this is going

  • Robbie

Oh no…not the App. Cole will no doubt show us how to download it

  • Jesse Sherwood

Steph pushing the app seems so wrong!

  • Xavier

I like this opening segment. Triple H/Steph are attempting to create dissension among the locker room.

    • The Breaker

Yep, the McMahons are indeed master manipulators.

    • Alex Gallardo

I just love this whole storyline with HHH and Steph. It’s great at getting heat and has been done very good.

      • Xavier

Agreed. The story of Triple H/Steph has come full circle from the days of Triple H drugging her and marrying her in a drive by Chapel.

    • David Jr.

They are playing a different kind of heel in charge. Not the normal and its a good change of pace.

  • Xavier

HA….not even close to 20 minutes.

    • Jesse Sherwood

Well, (slaps on cheesy DDP grin) that’s… a good thing!

      • Xavier

One of my all-time favs. I’m still pissed he didn’t beat Goldberg at Halloween Havoc

        • Alex Gallardo

Yeah, and when he finally won the title WCW was already falling apart.

          • Xavier

            Agreed.

        • Jesse Sherwood

Same here. His ring work was solid, but he oozed so much charisma that regardless if he was a heel or a face, you wanted to see what he would do next.

          • Xavier

Agreed. He was probably just as over as Goldberg was at one point. Wish he hadn’t retired so early in his career.

  • Jesse Sherwood

I have a feeling that The Shield will attack at least half of the contestants in the back to keep the numbers manageable.

    • savokes

      Was thinking the same thing

    • Kanewty

I’m thinking big show will be “special enforcer” & knock out half the people

    • David Jr.

Every wrestler will have to fight another match before fighting the Shield?

  • Cubed56

I may receive a lot of backlash here, but while I am willing to let this play out, I feel this storyline went from really engaging, to meh, its ok. I really feel they dropped the ball at noc with bryan winning only to strip him the next night. To be honest I really have no vested interest in this storyline right now, it does nothing for me right now.

    • Alex Gallardo

Bryan being stripped of the belt got great heat and will make it much more meaningful when he wins the belt and finally overcomes HHH.

      • Cubed56

not really. by him winning it has already been shown that he can overcome the new corporation. when he wins it back, it will be like great, awesome, but ok, we’ve already seen him win it twice already theres no real big surprise or pay off of him winning it.

        • Alex Gallardo

It really adds to his struggle of finally beating the big boss.

          • Cubed56

what big loss? he beat cena clean, got screwed, beat orton, albeit a fast count, but if that knee stopped cena, you know it would’ve stopped orton, then gets screwed again. He has no big loss, just big wins followed by a screw job.

          • Alex Gallardo

            I said big boss….

          • Jesse Sherwood

            SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!

          • The Breaker

            Shoud’ve used tranq rounds…

          • Cubed56

yea I noticed that after I posted, my bad bud.

          • Alex Gallardo

That’s fine. Just a simple typo. I’ve been through many of them, especially on Twitter.

    • Xavier

HEAT HEAT HEAT HEAT. I hope it burns………..lol.

      • Cubed56

        deep in my soul bro

    • Xavier

I agree to an extent though. It took a little sail off the angle somewhat but they can easily recover from that. I think they recovered somewhat last Monday.

    • Steve pritchard

Yeah i agree ! They need another star involved . I think punk would be great in this storyline given his past ones hhh. But i know it would steal bryans momentum but it would be very entertaining imo! They need to give d bryan the belt already . This cool at first but its getting old fast. If i have to suffer through lame ass orton holding the belt again im gonna puke!

  • Robbie

    And there it is…

  • The Breaker

Here we go! Here’s the dreaded tutorial!

  • Jesse Sherwood

Well, it looks like all of the competitors in the Handicap match will be in other matches. I’m betting that their opponents will be trying to take them out.

  • Alex Gallardo

I can’t help but always notice more and more that the WHC is worthless every time Del Rio comes out.

    • The Breaker

It has a lot to do with the man holding the title.

      • Alex Gallardo

And the fact that with joined brands there’s really no point to it. It’s not even the main story on Smackdown.

        • The Breaker

You’re right. It’s a shame to think that a title with such a rich history is being overlooked.

          • Alex Gallardo

Yeah, and it’s the last we have of WCW. And it’s awful that it’s used like this.

          • Jesse Sherwood

We also have the US Title, but that is just as misused.

          • Alex Gallardo

It was once held by Santino. That’s all you need to ruin the prestige it held when guys like Sting were holding it.

          • David Jr.

I’m going to disagree, as I think Santino is one of the few midcarders that actually isn’t just working for a paycheck.

          • Alex Gallardo

But his gimmick is so awful that he has not chance of EVER being a serious babyface or even really a heel.

          • David Jr.

But everybody can’t be a serious babyface or heel. You need to occasional comedy face or heel.

          • Alex Gallardo

That’s true, but I’m still not sure he deserved a US title run. Or getting a win over Antonio Cesaro.

          • David Jr.

Oh Albero Del Rio maybe a bad World Champion but he’s still better than David Arquette and Vince Russo are, so WCW misused it too.

          • Alex Gallardo

Yeah, but they didn’t hold it very long if I remember and that was WCW 2000 so what else did you expect?

          • David Jr.

The fact they held it for one second was to long.

          • Alex Gallardo

That’s true, but once again that was WCW 2000. A company that was much worse than WWE 2013.

        • Jesse Sherwood

Heck, it rarely even has a story on Smackdown!

          • Alex Gallardo

I’m still not sure what the build up to ADR vs. Christen was at SS.

          • Jesse Sherwood

Christian getting his “one more match”. and the fact he beat ADR 3 times prior to the PPV. That’s it.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I agree with you on that, but I’m not an ADR fan, and don’t see as anything will change that.

        • The Breaker

There’s nothing he can do with his current character that will make me interested in anything that involves him.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

It’s not even his character for me, it’s his ring work, and the fact that he’s so boring. He’s worse than 5 moves of doom in that he doesn’t even have five moves that he uses. He kicks and punches, and has a submission hold. Boring and predictable.

          • The Breaker

Agreed on that. He hardly varies anything he does in the ring. The really sad part is that he’s capable of more but rarely ever bothers to show it.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

And what he does in the ring really feels phoned in. I just don’t understand why he keeps getting the pushes he’s getting.

          • Jesse Sherwood

VKM wants his Latino Superstar to replace Rey, and feels ADR is the best bet. I beg to differ, as does most of the IWC, but what do we know?

          • 1molly23

            diversity = $, Kendra

    • Jesse Sherwood

Sadly, you’re right. We are in the midst of ADR’s longest reign with any title in WWE, and it feels like it has been 3 months too long.

      • K!NG

they should of keep him and dolph feuding a little bit longer i thought they actually had good chemistry.

  • David Jr.

Usually a WWE wrestler in his hometown, usually equals a beat down or loss. But isn’t CM Punk usually the exception to that rule?

    • Xavier

Yeah, Punk has had huge success in Chicago since 2011.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

But Punk has been jobbing at every turn lately, so I wonder if he will get over tonight.

        • Xavier

Depends. Just like last year, creative has booked themselves in a corner with Punk/Ryback. Punk needs a PPV win bad but if Creative wants people to take Ryback seriously then he needs to start picking up some wins.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I don’t think Ryback will be taken seriously at this point, and I’m not sure there’s really anything for them to do so he will be taken seriously. I think that ship has sailed. Though I thought the same for Husky!

  • Danny Philippi

Sorry I’m late but technology issues aside, I can’t wait for Punk’s “Homecoming”. Doesn’t hurt that there is a dog of a football game on ESPN tonight.

    • Jesse Sherwood

Who’s playing? I don’t really pay much attention to these things, so your mentions are usually how I find out.

      • savokes

        Broncos/Raiders

      • Xavier

        Denver/Oakland

        • Jesse Sherwood

          That’ll be a blowout!

  • Jesse Sherwood

    Colt Cabana chant!

  • Danny Philippi

I know he was a great champion, but the Randy Savage chants are wearing thin on my mind.

    • Xavier

The Savage chants were old the day they started after Mania

    • Jesse Sherwood

Most of the time, they get started by the fans now due to the fact there always seems to be that guy in the crowd who dresses as him.

    • BrooksOglesby

Absolutely agreed. I hate the chants, they kill the match (which usually doesn’t deserve it). But credit to Del Rio for boring the CHICAGO crowd. Takes a special brand of boring to do that.

      • Jesse Sherwood

        *High fives Brooks*

        • BrooksOglesby

          *reciprocates high five*

      • Xavier

The fans were into this match though

    • The Breaker

Those chants are more over than ADR has ever been.

  • Xavier

This is actually a solid match.

    • Jesse Sherwood

Kofi, when he slows down and watches his spots, is a great worker.

      • K!NG

yeah hes getting better between his big spots.

        • Jesse Sherwood

As I said in my Where Did They Go Wrong a few months ago, Kofi is one of the few guys that released talents and even some trainers have said that people don’t look forward to working with, because he is dangerous in the ring. But he is trying to improve, and he has the personality to get over with the crowd.

  • K!NG

Biggest problem with Del Rio is he really doesnt have much of a character other then being champion.

    • Xavier

Agreed. I actually think he’s pretty good in the ring though.

      • K!NG

        oh yeah

        • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

he was much more over as a face

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

And his ring work is both predictable, and boring!

    • BrooksOglesby

I was thinking about this the other day with RVD, who he’s feuding with in what should be the second-hottest feud in the company, as it’s for the WHC. What is RVD’s gimmick? How would you describe RVD’s character to a non-fan?

I’m generally a fan of RVD, but it’s weird to me that he’s expected to be a part of a main event feud with Del Rio, who, as you said, doesn’t have much of a character either. It explains the insertion of Ricardo into the feud, though. “Guy who used to kick and jump who came back to do more kicking and jumping” vs. “Angry ethnic champion” needs SOMETHING.

      • jomo12

RVD is the whole F’in Show. His character is probably just him being a spectacle just like Lesnar. Maybe they go with a “living legend” thing and that’s why they had RKO brutally attack him post match

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

is anyone else confused as to why Justin Gabriel is being thrown into this storyline?
    He’s barely even a mid-card talent

    • Jesse Sherwood

Well, it could be that he is a rarely used face that is “being held down by the man” or that he and Bryan have a bond from NXT Season one.

    • Xavier

I guess to demonstrate that the “little guy” is feed up with the Corporation pushing everyone around. Think of it as a revolt by the peasants against the King of England or something like that. Most the guys that came to the rescue last week were midcard/lower card guys

      • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

I think Gabriel & Ryder were the only ones that were lower than mid card

  • Danny Philippi

I can remember WWE making a destruction derby video game back in the day. I can’t remember the name, though.

    • The Breaker

      WWE Crush Hour.

      • Danny Philippi

Thank you The Breaker. I had it for the PS2. I think it came out around 2002-2003.

        • The Breaker

Welcome. I never played it myself but I remember that Austin’s ATV is one of the vehicles you can drive.

  • Jesse Sherwood

Miz looks like he stole his sports coat from the Valet Parking guy!

  • Xavier

I have no problem with the Miz nor am I a Miz hater, but he’s so much better as a heel. I gave his face run a chance but it’s not working.

    • Jesse Sherwood

He isn’t bad, but he didn’t really change his character much in the transition. Thus why I can’t really take him seriously as a face. I feel he could just be flipped a la Mr. Anderson at any point.

      • Xavier

        Agreed

    • David Jr.

ABC Family probably won’t let him turn heel.

      • Jesse Sherwood

At least not until after Christmas.

  • Danny Philippi

Miz TV tonight. Great time to use the rest room.

  • Alex Gallardo

I have to say even though HHH and Steph can get great heat. I doubt Chicago will hate them .

  • Jesse Sherwood

    That pop for the Wyatts!

    • The Breaker

Totally expected from the Chicago crowd!

  • Danny Philippi

Holy crap. Here comes Wyatt’s Clan. CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP.

  • Alex Gallardo

That pop for the Wyatts reminds me of the one Curtis Axle got at Payback. And it’s even cooler that the crowd is clapping to their entrance.

  • Cubed56

now here is something I have a vested interest in

    • Xavier

Too bad there is no one for them to feud with at the moment. All the top faces are either out injured or already involved in other angles.

      • Jesse Sherwood

Honestly, I don’t think they need a feud at this time. Let them burn a bit slow and go through some of the roster, then when someone big comes back *looking at Rey*, have the feud start up again.

      • Cubed56

Agreed. I somehow feel or hope at least they get twisted into the corporate angle down the road and feud with the shield.

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

Is it just me or is the audience clapping along with the Wyatt’s theme

    • Jesse Sherwood

They are, and that’s awesome! The Wyatts are one of the few gimmicks in the last few years I can say were extremely effective upon debut.

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

I hope we get a decent match out of them and not a squash.

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

so why is there gonna be Miz TV if he was attacked last week…..

    • Jesse Sherwood

Because he needs a paycheck, and it is a way to move forward Show’s storyline.

  • Cubed56

why the hell are the ptp’s getting fed to the wyatts?

    • Xavier

Was thinking the same thing. PTP is over at the moment

      • Cubed56

my only guess is because they were part of the protest.

    • Jesse Sherwood

To soften them up for the Handicap match. I see every member of the face team aside from Bryan having a match tonight.

  • Xavier

Interesting tag match here. I’m actually hoping the PTP go over here

  • Jesse Sherwood

Well, that’s now 3 of the face team involved in other matches.

    • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

it probably has to do with the whole team being the majority of the faces on TV

  • Danny Philippi

The winner of this match should get a Tag Team title match down the line. But not on a Free For All on YouTube.

    • Jesse Sherwood

Agreed, but that would mean the PTP needs to go over. The Wyatts and The Shield needs to stay as far apart as possible!

  • Danny Philippi

A “We Want Titus” chant. Interesting.

    • Xavier

He has a lot of potential. He’s getting over with the fans. Can’t wait til he goes single one day.

  • Xavier

You guys will probably disagree with this but the Wyatts still need to improve the quality of their ring work. I haven’t been impressed in the least so far.

    • Cubed56

harper and rowan agreed, bray is fine.

    • Jesse Sherwood

Luke Harper and Eric Rowan, I agree with. But Bray is more than ready for the big stage.

    • Alex Gallardo

Harper and Rowan have only had squash matches so they still have a lot to prove. And Bray was only in one full match.

  • Jesse Sherwood

    We want Wyatt chant!

  • The Breaker

    What’s with the lighting?

  • David Jr.

WWE Studios should get together with Pixar and make a movie called Sheep vs. Goat. Eric Rowans does the voice of the sheep and Daniel Bryan of the goat?

  • The Breaker

I like how excited JBL gets when Harper hits that clothesline.

    • Jesse Sherwood

It really reminds him of the old days!

  • Alex Gallardo

I have no problem with Miz TV as long as it advance the Big Show’s storyline. And as long as Big Show doesn’t cry again.

  • Tim

So are the Wyatt’s gonna be in a storyline. Or just beat up tag teams.

    • Xavier

There’s no one for them to fued with at the moment. All the top faces are either hurt are involved in other angles already.

    • Jesse Sherwood

Right now, they are taking a back burner to the other storylines, but are slowly establishing dominance by taking out other teams.

      • Tim

Hopefully Kane comes back soon. Cause I don’t like something as good as the Wyatt’s taking a back seat to mediocre storylines

  • Danny Philippi

Piss Piss Flush. And now I head to the rest room. Or tune to the football game for five minutes.

  • The Breaker

An angry Miz is a lot better than a cheesy face!

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

He didn’t even meet the mother….I guess this is karma for not listening to Jesse

    • Jesse Sherwood

      Lol, see! Wrestling always triumphs!

      • mizzle

Ya the mother was on there

        • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

yeah, but he didn’t MEET her

  • Jesse Sherwood

Miz as a really serious face could be much better than arrogant face Miz!

  • Alex Gallardo

Considering how Chicago treated a crying Kaitlyn, it’s probably best that Big Show doesn’t cry. God knows how Chicago would treat him.

    • Jesse Sherwood

I will laugh if they rip him a new one! No more tears!

  • Xavier

I’m digging Miz’ promo so far.

  • The Breaker

Triple H knew that Miz would start running his mouth to Big Show and get KO’ed!

  • Alex Gallardo

I’m actually impressed by Miz and this segment. Stephine coming out even makes it better. Let the heat fill Chicago.

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

anybody else just see Stephanie’s lines on her hand?

    • Alex Gallardo

We know what’s going to be on the next Botchamania…

    • savokes

      didn’t see…can anyone get a screenshot?

      • Jesse Sherwood

I couldn’t see it, but it just looked like a shadow to me.

        • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

It was pretty noticable to me…..but I also have a 55 inch tv

  • Cubed56

this is exactly what im talking about to much hhh, and way too much Stephanie, its making me not care more and more about the storyline, and borderline wanting to change the channel

  • The Breaker

I feel like there’s a bit of truth in what Steph is saying!

  • Xavier

Steph has been gold on the mic since this angle kicked off. She going in on Miz.

    • Alex Gallardo

I really love this segment. I even liked Miz so far. I can’t say how much I love Steph’s ability to be a great heel.

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Stephanie is really bringing it tonight.

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

no hesitation from Show this time, much better

  • The Breaker

No hesitation, no crying from Show! YES! YES!! YES!!!

    • Jesse Sherwood

Why should he? Show has stated many time that he doesn’t like Miz, even with them both being faces.

      • The Breaker

Great point, but WWE has ignored things like that before!

  • Danny Philippi

At least Big Show wasn’t sobbing. An upgrade indeed.

  • Xavier

Good segment. Kudos to Miz & Steph. They brought it on the mic, kind of wish there was more back & forth between the two though

  • Alex Gallardo

This segment was awesome! Even better than last week.

  • Tim

I hope steph catches a fist sometime

    • Jesse Sherwood

Won’t happen with the ban on men hitting women. I would love to see it too, but I seriously doubt VKM will lift that ban and risk losing advertising dollars.

      • Tim

        Than give triple h one

  • Austin

Stephanie McMahon is such a great heel! I hate her more every week! And she gets even hotter every week!

    • Alex Gallardo

Well I’m gay so I really don’t care how good Stephenie looks, but she’s a GREAT heel.

    • David

She needs a new theme song though. her current one sucks!

  • Tim

I like to think when miz wakes up instead of saying “is this real life” he would say ” is this the real world”

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

people that keep saying there’s too much Steph and Trip on television need to realize that 5 (possibly more, just off the top of my head) top stars are out right now and this storyline and Punk/Heyman are the only things WWE has going for them right now in terms of programming.

    • Xavier

Some people are complaining about it just for the sake of complaining. Triple H & Steph have been have been great so far. Anyone who hasn’t enjoyed this angle doesn’t like wrestling.

      • Cubed56

Really? you know I respect your opinion, but to say who isn’t enjoying this storyline doesn’t like wrestling is far from the truth. tell me how this storyline is anywhere near as good as it was 3 weeks ago?

        • Xavier

I’ve enjoyed it for the fact that more midcarders are getting involved and your starting to see a revolt. I thought NOC kind of slowed down the progress of this angle somewhat but I think the WWE have a done a nice job of recovering from that. I loved the locker room coming to the rescue last week and loved the segment between Miz/Steph/Heyman tonight. I probably should of reworded what I said but you have to admit that Triple H & Steph have been great so far

          • Cubed56

I agree, they’ve been great, no doubting that, but there is too much of them. there are more mid-carders your right, but they all feel like fillers. to me there isn’t any progression being made with those mid card guys, they seem like they are just there for the sake of being there, except for cody.

          • Xavier

If you look back at the attitude era during the Austin/McMahon stuff or the Rock/Helmsley-McMahon stuff it was pretty much the same thing though. Those angles monopolized a lot of time on both RAW & Smackdown. Those were the central themes of the show and everything else other wrestler mostly midcard guys were affected by that in one way or another.

          • Cubed56

your right, but they had multiple storylines going on, not just one or two, so while those storylines were the most talked about, they didn’t take up one third of the time. it also helped that at that time, the ic and tag titles were relevant, thus allowing a certain handful to be the “TOP’ guys, while allowing the mid carders to have relevant storylines

          • Justin Mayo

Cubed, Xavier, let’s not bicker and argue over who killed who or who enjoys what, this is supposed to be a happy occasion!…What? No Monty Python? -slowly shows self out-

          • Dan

What about Big Show though? He’s gotta either fully join or revolt with the other stars at the next or after Battleground PPV. Also, the Shield are gettin confused to. one moment Triple H is all for them taking out people then on Raw puts em in a 11 on 3 handicap match. And Orton is kinda out of the picture but he isn’t because Steph challenged him to be a “psycho” again

    • Cubed56

then you and many more including myself, want more stars to be in the upper mid card, and this is the perfect time with cena and sheamus out, yet hhh and steph take up time where that could be happening. Not saying steph and hhh shouldn’t be on tv, cause they should, but there is no reason for them to be involved in 6-10 segments per show at 5+ mins per shot.

      • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

well you’re definitely right that more superstars need to be pushed to the upper mid-card but now is NOT the time to do it. These are the things they should have done before because now when they push someone it’s only going to seem like it’s happening because of the number of missing superstars, not because wwe has confidence in them.

        • Cubed56

why is now not the time to do it? in reality you have DB, Orton, steph and hhh in the main event scene, everyone else feels like filler, its a great time to bring them into the upper mid card.

          • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

It would be a great time to do it, if they COULD do it, like I said now it only seems like they’re pushing people because they have to. Not because they want to, it makes it a lot harder for the wwe universe as a whole to buy into a push

          • Cubed56

I strongly disagree with that, the wwe universe wants certain guys pushed not cause of injuries but because they are behind them and feel they deserve it. Cody, Dolph, Sandow, Cesaro, Christian, the usos and kofi are just a few I can think of.

          • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

you just repeated what I said…

          • Cubed56

no your saying the wwe universe wont buy it because it feels like they have to push them, im saying the wwe universe wants them pushed regardless of injury or anything else. Let me ask you a question. If this was anyone else but DB against the corporation do you think this storyline would captivate the universe as much as it has. I honestly think not.

          • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

I never said anything bad about Daniel Bryan…?

          • Cubed56

I know im just asking the question.

          • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

well to answer honestly I think it would only work with Bryan or Punk, also Lesnar definitely has what it takes to do it but they’d have to turn him face and he also has the limited work schedule both of which would present problems

          • Cubed56

So you think it wouldn’t work for Cesaro, Christian, Ziggler, Ambrose, Rollins, Reigns, Bray, there more but my point has been made. Why wouldn’t it work for these guys?

          • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

They all have what it takes, I’m saying that based on where their character was when the storyline started that it wouldn’t work, is there a specific reason you’re being so critical?

          • Cubed56

Yea you saying they cant this or cant that, that why. IMO they can and could have been doing everything ive said for a long time. they have just been spoiled by cena which isn’t a bad thing, but they could’ve been focusing on other guys fro a long time ago already, then maybe we would have fresh faces right now other then DB, instead of the same faces being recycled into repeated storylines over and over again.

          • Justin Mayo

Actually, given a little time, it just might work for Ambrose. I’d say Ziggler too, but with his bad habit of opening his mouth at the wrong moments, I doubt he’d get the push for a while.

    • KINGFRANCHISE

i was thinking the same thing….aside from punk/heyman and trips steph angle nothing else is going on.

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Stephanie is really carving a niche for own as heel. Eventually she very well may step out of her father’s shadow and stand on her own.

  • Alex Gallardo

Imagine if we saw segments like that for every dance off we got. The ratings would SKYROCKET.

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Who do you guys think will be Orton’s opponent tonight?

  • Brandon Greed

I wonder if the lights going out during the Wyatt family’s match was a sign of the undertaker or kane? What do you guys think?

  • Alex Gallardo

I also like Randy Orton as a heel. Being a babyface never worked for him.

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

if WWE is serious about bringing back the old Orton the first thing they have to do is make him bald again, makes him look much more intimidating

  • Alex Gallardo

I know the WWE app polls are rigged, but I always like to see if I can predict WWE’s booking. I couldn’t do it this time though.

  • Danny Philippi

Did Jerry Lawler refer to Orton as WWE Champion? Way to screw up another app vote Jerry.

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

I guess I was getting my hopes up a little too high for R-Truth :/

  • Brandon Greed

I wonder if the lights going out during the Wyatt family’s match is a sign of Kane or The Undertaker?

    • Jesse Sherwood

It looked like a technical hiccup.

      • Brandon Greed

Oh lol by the way any word on where Kane has been

        • Tim

He is making see no evil 2. Which I so can’t wait for

          • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

I think everyone agrees that the first installment was the best movie produced by WWE Studios

          • Jesse Sherwood

I agree, although I thought The Condemned was a decent Battle Royale rip off.

        • Jesse Sherwood

He is currently filming See No Evil 2, as it began filming September 20th.

  • Xavier

LOL this back & forth between JBL & Cole is quite amusing

  • KINGFRANCHISE

first time posting, long time reader….

    • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

you’ve been missing out, the watch partys are great!!!

      • KINGFRANCHISE

i have noticed, i enjoy the watch parties. i just wish the impact parties were just as exciting.

        • Jesse Sherwood

Well, you missed out last week, as we broke the comment record on Impact!

          • KINGFRANCHISE

            i saw that…

          • David Jr.

I think me, Kendra and Alex broke Smackdown’s on friday.

          • Jesse Sherwood

Which mean if so, that ALL Shows records were broken last week!

          • David Jr.

There was 131, I know that’s nothing compared to Raw and Impacts, but usually Smackdown has below 10 unless Kendra’s there.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

We’re working on it, the problem is that TNA just doesn’t have the following that the WWE has right now.

    • Jesse Sherwood

      Great to have you KingFranchise!

      • KINGFRANCHISE

        thanks jesse!!

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Congratulations on breaking the 1000 Comment Barrier The Breaker

    • Jesse Sherwood

YES! Congrats to Breaker! Only 3000 and some change to catch me!

      • Robbie

How can you see how many you posted?
EDIT: I’ve seen it. I would like a congratulations when I reach 225…

          • Jesse Sherwood

            Sorry, Community tab.

    • The Breaker

I had no idea! I’m moving up the ranks!

  • David Jr.

WWE History Lesson: Randy Orton’s first ever title victory was for the IC Title at Armageddon 2003 over Rob Van Dam.

  • Danny Philippi

I hope this match does not end well for Orton.

  • David Jr.

RVD’s basically been the same character since ECW, yet he still gets huge pops, Anybody else, people say he’s stale, so what makes RVD different?

    • Xavier

Nothing at all. People just pick & choose who they wanna like and who they don’t.

    • KINGFRANCHISE

valid point, but RVD just brings back memories of old that as wrestling fans we love!!

    • Jesse Sherwood

It’s the energy and excitement he brings to the ring. There are so few stars that have his charisma with his ring work alone that people want to love him.

    • Alex Gallardo

It’s the nostalgia and energy he still brings to the table even at this point in his career.

  • Danny Philippi

    Double count out.

  • Hayden Tyler

this is how he is going off the show for a month?

    • KINGFRANCHISE

i thought the same about the miz.

    • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

he has a match at Battleground…

  • The Breaker

Look what you did, WWE Universe! RVD is getting dismantled because of ALL OF YOU!

    • Alex Gallardo

But remember to vote next week.

  • Danny Philippi

Randy Orton going extreme. He would have been the man in the original ECW plus the look of a world champion.

  • KINGFRANCHISE

    Ricardo stop him!!!!!!
    or not…

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

The Laugh There Added A Nice Little Element to it. Or Maybe It Was Just Me

  • Jesse Sherwood

So, for the second week straight, Orton has brought a match to a double count out just to punish his opponent more… This may get me interested in Orton again, as I loved the Legend Killer and IED Viper stages of his career.

    • Xavier

This is Orton cicra 2007 when he took out HBK, RVD & Dusty Rhodes on his way to challenge Cena.

    • Alex Gallardo

He was made to be a heel. Ever since 2004 that’s what he has shined in.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Orton is a born heel, the way Rey is a born face. Certain things just work.

    • KINGFRANCHISE

agreed, but will the INFAMOUS PUNT return??

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Doubt it. It was removed after Cody’s mask was cracked from the punt. They were very lucky he decided to wear that mask for one last match!

        • KINGFRANCHISE

the punt just added that extra sense of ruthlessness of orton.

        • Justin Mayo

True, but he’s done that perfectly so many times before. It’s not like Swagger, where he’s reckless and does nothing but hurt people. It was an accident, and maybe they may let him bring it back under certain circumstances.

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

just moments later they promote RVD for the main event….

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

That’s kind of the point. They put together this huge match, they systematically destroy everyone but Bryan.

      • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

That makes sense if they’re still going to have everybody work the match

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Trip and Steph will be shocked and outraged – or something else absurd – when they cannot work the match, or aren’t at 100%!

      • Xavier

        That’s so
        diabolical of them.

  • Jesse Sherwood

And that makes #4 out of the 10 men teaming with Bryan. I see Sandow getting Ryder, The Real Americans getting The Usos, and Ryback getting Gabriel.

    • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

with the way Ryder has been booked up until now they could just have him get taken out by Hornswoggle with a tennis racket

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

are we seriously still getting los matadores promos!?!

  • K!NG

jeez i keep getting a commercial for the legends of wrestling tour featuring Roddy pipper marty jannety and brutus the barber beefcake.

  • Alex Gallardo

I would rather hope that we just had to watch a bunch of Los Matadores promos than see them in action. The 80s are over Vince!

  • Jesse Sherwood

You know what my favorite part of the Los Matadores promo is? The shot of the Bull goring the matador in the groin!

    • Alex Gallardo

They should get Rhyno to return and bury them on their debut.

      • David Jr.

        Not Rhyno, bring back Mantaur.

        • Alex Gallardo

Or they could upgrade Rhyno to a bull.

    • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

it’s in every promo for a reason!!!

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

after what happened during the break I wouldn’t be surprised if the WHC match at Battleground is scrapped

  • Alex Gallardo

I get so excited watching these WWE2K14 commercials. I’m so glad I pre ordered it.

    • The Breaker

Looks good if not just for the roster updates! I want to dole out some justice courtesy of The Shield!

  • KINGFRANCHISE

    twin magic!!!

  • Jesse Sherwood

So we are wasting time on video from the HHH DVD? Does he need anymore of an ego boost?

    • Xavier

      Yes

  • Alex Gallardo

AJ is sure loved by Chicago. I remembered the pop she got at Payback and I’m glad it’s still carried on.

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

    MS FANDANGO!!!!!

    • Jesse Sherwood

      It’s Summer Rae, JBL…

      • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

but Mrs Fandango is such a better name!!!!

      • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Your favorite Diva Jesse Lol. All jokes aside she still has some work to put in to improve herself on the whole

  • Robbie

    JBL clearly means Mrs Newman

  • Jesse Sherwood

So, anyone else betting Fandango’s opponent will be R Truth?

    • The Breaker

Since they already did that a couple times last week, yes.

      Nope, Santino!

      • Jesse Sherwood

        Looks like I am wrong!

  • K!NG

who is zack ryders opponent gonna be?

    • Jesse Sherwood

I’m calling Sandow, considering they worked with each other over the weekend shows.

      • Robbie

I thought he went against Ryback?

        • Jesse Sherwood

In Lexington KY, he faced Sandow. in Ft. Wayne IN and Springfield IL he faced Ryback, so we are both right.

  • Xavier

Santino/Fandango could be a funny midcard feud if creative choose to go that route

  • Alex Gallardo

Well Santino sure got a big pop, but I’m still not a fan of the gimmick.

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

    cole just said 2k13…..

    • Alex Gallardo

At least he wasn’t like Ric Flair who said Y2K. Then again Ric Flair was drunk during that.

  • The Breaker

Santino’s failed kip-up is always good for a laugh.

  • BrooksOglesby

Not to spoil anything, but I got to see Santino at the latest NXT taping, and his match was one of the most entertaining matches of the night.

  • Xavier

I think Santino will steal Fandango’s dance partner lol

  • Jesse Sherwood

And Santino’s winning streak lasts all of 2 weeks!

    • The Breaker

Why did it have to end on Fandango? A little strange considering the people he beat.

      • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

I think it’s because WWE doesn’t look at Santino’s winning streak as an actual winning streak, simply because it’s Santino

      • Jesse Sherwood

I know! Maybe they are prepping Fandango for a midcard title run? Or maybe they are just trying to keep him relevant with a win?

        • The Breaker

But who would he beat? He’s not going up against Axel or Ambrose.

          • Jesse Sherwood

I am feeling they will pull the IC Title off of Axel with a face who will quickly lose it to Fandango.

          • Kanewty

Kofi most likely, it’s his forte

  • Danny Philippi

Fandango needs to compete for a title before fans start to turn on him.

  • Jesse Sherwood

Fandango gets great air time on that Legdrop! Such beauty, such grace!

    • K!NG

Hogan still gets the best hang time on his leg drop i mean he does it with such grace and beauty.

  • Alex Gallardo

I like Fandango’s other finisher better than the top rope leg drop. It is also much more safer and better for Fandandgo’s health.

    • David Jr.

But its to similar to Sister Abigail.

      • Alex Gallardo

Well then perhaps he can change it up a bit. I just feel that it’s much safer than constantly jumping off the top rope with your legs like that.

      • Jesse Sherwood

Actually, it was the same move with a different motion, a Swinging STO

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

That left leg drop is the first big move he learned when he started. His first trainer is shocked that he’s never learned to hit it right legged, as it usually is hit. I agree that the other is better, but David is right.

  • Xavier

Was just thinking, how crazy would it be if everyone turned on Bryan during this 11 on 3 handicap match and it was revealed that they were bought off by Triple H & Steph. I know it won’t happen but there has to be some of sort of swerve here.

    • Alex Gallardo

Well it’s a possibility, and it would be some great booking.

    • David Jr.

But the Usos and PTP are in it, so who would be your face tag teams?

      • Xavier

Good point, I was just speculating

    • savokes

I’m not betting against you X…I mean you called the locker room clear out last week……..

      • Xavier

        Lol

  • Danny_Boy

Ugh, Punk is next. Time for a piss break

    • Danny Philippi

LOL! You must be a Paul Heyman Guy.

      • Danny_Boy

Nope. Just a fan of good wrestling.

        • Cubed56

Are you seriously talking to yourself?

          • Alex Gallardo

I thought that was you for a second. Weird….

          • Cubed56

            lol

          • Alex Gallardo

And I made a mistake. I thought it was Danny Boy actually.

          • Jesse Sherwood

Cubed, it’s a glitch with Guest commenters. sometimes Disqus muddles the names. Refresh to see the correct ones.

          • Cubed56

I gotcha, I wasn’t poking fun, I thought it was funny.

  • Alex Gallardo

Now THAT was a pop. I love hearing Punk’s crowd reactions from Chicago even if I’m not his biggest fan.

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

Cole advertises WWE 2K14 by saying “all current superstars and divas are playable characters.” even though the man in the very next match (Fandango) isn’t in it….

    • Jesse Sherwood

I will guarantee you he will be DLC.

  • Jesse Sherwood

You know you’re a Cubs fan when it’s 2 weeks from the end of the season and your stadium is already telling you to root for the NHL team!

  • Justin Mayo

Hey guys, what’d I miss? Who’s pregnant, who’s in jail, and who duct taped Jesse to a flagpole?

    • Jesse Sherwood

Actually, you’re on the pole for a Justin Mayo on a Pole match! It’s me vs. Robbie!

      • Justin Mayo

-Looks down-…Well crap, I thought you looked shorter. Just get me down already before Cryback gets hungry again!

        • Jesse Sherwood

You know what… *Walks out of the match*

          • Justin Mayo

Hey! Wait a minute! -struggles- oh..wait…i still have my knife! -Cuts the cable and forearms Jesse from behind, DDTing him on the ramp-

          • Robbie

            I WIN!

          • Justin Mayo

well thanks for all your help getting me down -eye roll- if i didn’t remember my knife, i’d have to try to get dominos to deliver ringside!

          • Jesse Sherwood

I walked out because it is now you and Justin in a Gesus on a Pole match!

          • Justin Mayo

            Robbie can have him :-P

          • Robbie

I’ve had him for the last two years…

          • Justin Mayo

Well then enjoy him, good sir! -falls to the fingerpoke of doom-

          • Jesse Sherwood

            *Fast counts the pin*

          • Justin Mayo

-Strips Robbie of Gesus for being in cahoots with a fast counting referee. Really, his cadance was way off :-P

  • David Jr.

Has there ever been an a WWE wrestler that got a bigger home town pop in the United States than CM Punk gets in Chicago?
Also how creative Chicago crowd, I’ve never heard that chant before.

    • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

      The Rock in Miami

      • Alex Gallardo

I think Brock got the bigger pop down there.

      • David Jr.

Punk was born in Chicago, Rock was not born in Miami.

        • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

missed the home town part, my bad, The Rock went to University of Miami, he does get a huge pop there.

          • David Jr.

I should have said anybody get a bigger pop in the city there were born in more than CM Punk.

    • Dan

Cena getting booed. Orton in St Louis but not as big as punk but probly the closest I can remember.

  • The Breaker

    Punk lost his smile!

  • KINGFRANCHISE

are we in for another classic punk pipe bomb??

  • Jesse Sherwood

And Big Johnny’s scooter comes back!

  • The Breaker

    Heyman’s singing = WIN

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Heyman is going to get some legendary heat in this segment

  • Jesse Sherwood

WHOA!! Punk getting the sewer mouth!

    • Xavier

      Not his best promo IMO

    • Jesse Sherwood

Maybe not, but I love his passion for his hometown crowd.

      • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Chicago always brings out the best in Punk

    • Alex Gallardo

And it looks like dammit is a lot worst than saying bitch.

      • Jesse Sherwood

He used a deity explicative, which is FCC banned.

        • Alex Gallardo

Yeah, but they still let bitch slip by. Moms were probably covering their 8 year old son’s ears.

          • Jesse Sherwood

If my 8 year old was still up, I’d be questioning my wife as to why! My sons are 6 and 2 and they are both in bed by 8 CT.

          • Alex Gallardo

Well there are those parents that buy their kid GTA V, let them stay up till 12:00 midnight, and let them pass with D grades in school.

          • Jesse Sherwood

Not my kid! Granted, I am tougher than most of these parents these days that think they are supposed to be their kid’s friend, not the example of what they should be as a person.

  • Alex Gallardo

This segment is actually better than Miz TV. WWE has been doing very good with these two top storylines.

  • Xavier

Hey Jesse I think Punk/Heymen is running longer then the Triple H/Steph segment to begin RAW.

    • Jesse Sherwood

I think so too! I’ll time it tonight for KB.

    • Cubed56

You are correct, at least its only one segment though, that furthers the storyline. I agree though heymans muscle should not be ryback.

  • Cubed56

IMO Heyman absolutely schooled punk on the mic tonight.

  • Justin Mayo

Just out of curiosity…Does Triple H’s nose grow with each lie he tells?

  • KINGFRANCHISE

2hours into the show more talk not so much wrestling.

  • Jesse Sherwood

And let the hometown beatdown commence…

  • Xavier

Ryback should not be a Heyman guy. His face run was 1000x better. Punk/Axel should of never happened. Should of been Punk/Cesaro all along.

    • The Breaker

Ryback will be overshadowed just as badly as Axel. Ryback wasn’t over at all going into this, so what chance does he have at taking a spotlight while Heyman and Punk feud?

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

    great spot right there

  • Jesse Sherwood

Holy crap… That table spot looked bad!

    • Jesse Sherwood

By bad, I mean Punk landed really rough.

      • savokes

Seeing the replay, looks like Ryback didn’t drop him flush on the table…looked off to the side a bit

    • Xavier

I wonder if Richard will be posting tomorrow about Triple H yelling at Ryback for a blown spot.

      • Jesse Sherwood

I am putting 10-9 odds on it!

  • Justin Mayo

I know it’s a bit premature, and I should probably give things a chance to develop a bit, but I’m sorry, I have absolutely no faith in Ryback as a Heyman guy. At this point, I have no faith in him at all, and I hope I’m wrong, but that’s just me.

    • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Its not just you I don’t care much for Ryback at all.

      • Justin Mayo

Stopping a match/walking away from a match when it doesn’t go his way, then flip flopping between being a bully, now hating bullies…Since his heel turn, his career’s gone downhill so fast, I think with the right push, he just might break through the glass floor!

        • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

the point of him saying he hates bullies is to make him look like a hypocrite

          • Justin Mayo

Yeah, I know- but the thing is, it’s just stupid. I won’t lie, I bought into him for a while, but once he turned heel, he’s just been one big booking failure. Too green to get the wins he needs, too “strong” to take the loss, so it’s just been screwy finish after screwy finish, and it just got worse after his turn.

          • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

You literally just spoke my mind……what kind of witch craft is this?!?!?!

          • Justin Mayo

welcome to pro wrestling, my brother, where everything’s made up and the matches don’t matter!

          • Jesse Sherwood

That right, the matches are just like Miley Cyrus going into the adult industry!

          • Justin Mayo

            Oh god…mental images…must…burn…brain!!!

          • Alex Gallardo

I don’t want to get too off topic, but Miley proves a big point of mine. That people love what they really hate. I think We Can’t Stop and Wrecking Ball are good songs and that her VMA performance was just the We Can’t Stop and Blurred Lines music videos combined.

          • Jesse Sherwood

Personally, I liked Miley’s country stuff. Have you heard her version of Jolene?

          • Alex Gallardo

No. But I’ll look at it. I just like music I can enjoy listening to, I don’t need a deep message or a guitar to make me happy. I actually listen to We Can’t Stop during Raw commercials and when Tazz is talking.

          • Jesse Sherwood
          • Alex Gallardo

Ummm I hate to say this, but I didn’t like it too much at all. I couldn’t even really listen to it all.

          • Justin Mayo

No offence, but that’s how I feel about all of her music! I may be only 23, but i feel a little old school here, hating on a lot of newer music.

          • Alex Gallardo

Well I’m just kinda addicted to We Can’t Stop, but I like all types of music.

          • Justin Mayo

Same here, but there are some current names that I just can’t stand!

          • Jesse Sherwood

It is cool man! I like her version simply because it feels like I am listening to a young Dolly Parton, but I think she missed her calling with country music.

          • Dan

            Return of Jericho time. lol

    • Xavier

I’m thinking the same thing. I’m not even a Ryback hater but creative has handled Ryback wrong from the get go. I just don’t think he’s good enough to recover from it. They should of never turned him heel to begin with IMO.

      • Justin Mayo

THANK YOU! First it was “it’s all Cena’s fault!”. Then came the tears and match stoppages. Next was the bully, and now it’s the anti bully. Isn’t it funny how all these so-called gimmick “progressions” aren’t all that different? Just one nail in the coffin after another.

        • Xavier

Agreed. He was super over a face despite creative always booking him to go under in all his matches. Then Ryback was suppose to go over Big Show for the title at Mania only to have McMahon change his mind and go with ADR/Swagger for the WHC then watch that angle flop. Had McMahon stuck with Plan A Ryback would probably be over huge as a face right now still. Imagine Ryback getting Big Show up for the shell shock, that would of popped the crowd HUGE

          • Justin Mayo

Maybe, but remember when he first started bringing in Shell Shock, he couldn’t always get people up for it- if he struggled lifting Heyman, I shudder to imagine him trying to lift Show. And correction, angle didn’t flop, Swagger just smoked the angle away, but hey- you know what they say…”Weed..the people!”

          • Xavier

Lol. He did get Henry up for it though so it’s possible. I think the ADR/Swagger/Zeb stuff was losing stem going into Mania. I know I started losing interest

          • Justin Mayo

I had no interest to begin with. He was a watered down, uninteresting version of Kurt Angle, pun definitely intended (although substance of choice differs). He had no personality, and his ring work just never really impressed me.

          • Xavier

Agreed. Swagger has always been a guy with lower card talent in my opinion. And ADR is no Eddie Guerrero. Imagine if Zeb was brought in for the Guerrero/Lesnar feud going into No Way Out. Now that would of been a feud to remember

          • Justin Mayo

Dude…the feels…there’s too many of them! A mix of marking out for what that feud could have been, and sadness for having lost Eddie so soon :( I saw him live just about 3 months before he died, too

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

No no Ryback had the mic.

    • Xavier

      Lol

  • savokes

Why did Ryback even have to talk?

    • Kanewty

He’s foreshadowing his own demise lol

  • K!NG

why were the fans chanting goldberg i didnt see a dominate wrestler on tv?

    • David Jr.

Yeah Ryback wishes he was Goldberg.

      • Jesse Sherwood

Heck, Goldberg wishes he were Goldberg at this point!

  • savokes

Random question…Where’s Big E Langston been?

    • Xavier

Good question. Only thing I can come up with is that they are repacking him. From what I’ve heard, he was a very good face on NXT. So maybe he returns as a face.

      • Cubed56

it would be awesome to see Langston face, he is actually good on the mic. would be kinda cool to see him team with punk to match Rybacks muscle, but big e has already been in a role similar to that with ziggler so I doubt that happens.

        • Xavier

At this point they might as well have him challenge Del Rio for the title.

          • Cubed56

            it wouldn’t surprise me.

  • Gesus Oliver

Hey everyone it’s a diva’s match I thought I’d stop in to see if you were having as much fun as me. 460 commets? Wow!

    • Jesse Sherwood

We are, and you are strapped to a pole for a Gesus-on-a-pole match between Justin Mayo and Robbie!

      • Gesus Oliver

        No hot pocket?

        • Jesse Sherwood

That’s shoved in your mouth as a gag.

          • Robbie

            Not new to him.

          • Gesus Oliver

            eff u robbie

    • Alex Gallardo

      YOU ARE SO DAMN LUCKY.

      • Gesus Oliver

Illbe honest I’m just lucky I have awesome friends I can do this with.

        • Alex Gallardo

Well at least I was at Payback so I’m still happy.

          • Gesus Oliver

Hey alex add me on fb or twitter

    • Xavier

      Having fun bro?

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

did anybody else just briefly get their hopes up for Tyson Kidd?

  • Alex Gallardo

AJ could make Eva Marie look good in the ring.

  • Ashley

    Is nikki back now?

    • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

it’s an 8 person tag so she might just not tag in for the match, we’ll have to wait and see

    • Jesse Sherwood

I hope so, as her career scare actually had me worried. Stress fractures can kill any athlete’s career.

      • Ashley

Was that Tamina (sp?) carrying AJ out? I was worried for her too.

        • Jesse Sherwood

It was, and it looks like she is healed.

  • Avalanchian

I’m feeling this RAW is just too predictable with how things are playing out. There needs to be a curveball somewhere.

    • Xavier

Maybe everybody turns on Bryan during the handicap match. I know Triple H & Steph have something up their sleeves

    • Avalanchian

Well I got my curveball in the Rhodes attacking.

  • The Breaker

What’s the point of this RKO video? Weird.

  • Jesse Sherwood

Brie got the win and Nikki was never tagged in, so maybe she isn’t quite 100%. In fact, I don’t see why everyone else was out there! Most of the Divas weren’t even involved in the match!

    • David Jr.

There were twice as many divas out there, as there is Knockouts now.

      • Jesse Sherwood

        ZING!

    • Ashley

Yeah, exactly what was was the point? Show bonuses?

      • Jesse Sherwood

That’s my theory, as well as keeping Total Divas in our minds for when it returns.

  • savokes

It’s funny how many times Orton catches people off the top rope with the RKO

  • David Jr.

I’m surprised Michael Cole didn’t show us on his laptop how to get to Youtube.

    • Alex Gallardo

For a company that doesn’t want to insult my intelligence. They explain how to download the WWE app like I’m 5.

      • Xavier

It’s a PG show so the kids need to be told more then once.

        • Alex Gallardo

From what I’ve read WWE’s audience isn’t even made up of that many kids. WWE is aiming in the wrong direction.

          • Ashley

Even if it was, kids are super smart these days. My 3 year old cousin can get on Netflix all by himself

          • Xavier

            Lol true.

          • Alex Gallardo

Well then I guess WWE is targeting the elderly.

          • Jesse Sherwood

Or the tech stupid, which isn’t a lot of their audience.

  • savokes

    Hahah, “Believe it!”

  • The Breaker

So I guess there are still some people left who are actually able to be a part of this match.

  • Mohan Ramnath

orton is a better heel when he shaves the beard just doesnt make him any more believable too many guys have beards already , viper – the legend killer orton

besides which as queen bee said he’s a born heel

  • Mohan Ramnath

how long before they beat danny up and shave his beard ??

  • Justin Mayo

Nothing against DB, huge fan of his, but starting to not like the Austin/Bryan comparisons anymore. I know DB’s incredibly over, but I’m not quite sure he’s at Austin’s level yet. Maybe it’s just the Era difference, and the competition with WCW, but I’m starting to shy away from comparing the two anymore.

    • The Breaker

They shouldn’t have been compared in the first place. They are two entirely different performers.

      • Justin Mayo

I think the only reason people are making the comparison is because of the stories, and at first, I agreed, but thinking about it…I just can’t.

    • Xavier

Bryan is nothing like Austin. As a matter of fact, this angle reminds me more of Rock vs Helmsley-McMahon then it does Austin/McMahon.

  • Cubed56

how bout this swerve, do you think, bryan could screw us all and eventually align with the corporation, kinda like the rock years ago?

  • Robbie

    GOLDIE AND CODY!!!

  • http://tbrickert.wordpress.com/ TB rickert

    Finally something exciting!

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

    NO WAY

  • Jesse Sherwood

Did not see the Rhodes brothers coming!

    • David Jr.

That was great, but I don’t think he should have had his goldust paint on.

      • Guest

I’ve lost a lot of interest in Ziggler since he turned face to be honest.

        • Cubed56

agreed, I was excited at first, the concussion didn’t help, but since then hes been stuck, that and running his mouth didn’t help. He is though I think better as a heel.

  • The Breaker

    The Rhodeses! YES! YES!! YES!!!

  • savokes

    SWERVE!

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Awesome! Did not see that coming. But just simply awesome!!!

  • Xavier

Cody & Goldust are OVER in a big way. I would love to see these guys form a tag team at some point and feud with Rollins & Reigns and take the titles off of them

    • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

their the first team I actually think wwe would put over Rollins & Reigns

  • Cubed56

I don’t think that’s the last we will see of cody and goldust tonight.

    • Xavier

You think they’ll be the ones to take the tag titles off of Reigns & Rollins?

      • Cubed56

Coldust? lol, nope. they need a cool name though.

        • Xavier

          Lol

          • Cubed56

got it, Golden Rhodes? lol maybe not.

        • Jesse Sherwood

          Golden Disaster!

          • Cubed56

And that sir is why you are paid the big bucks.

          • Xavier

            Dashing Gold?

          • Cubed56

            very nice

          • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Haven’t they been using Rhodes Dynasty in their tweets?

          • Jesse Sherwood

            That could work very well!

          • Cubed56

            agreed

          • Cubed56

wait wait wait, how about Golden Dreams?

        • The Breaker

          Golden Rhodes?

          • Cubed56

I said that already, not original, lol just playing. I think dashing gold by Xavier and golden disaster by jesse are best so far.

          • The Breaker

Haha well Rhodes Dynasty is the one they’d probably go with.

      • Cubed56

I got it, I got it!!!! The dream offspring, lol that’s terrible

  • Alex Gallardo

WWE just can’t do storylines better than tonight. Chicago always get great WWE shows.

    • Jesse Sherwood

And that’s why Chi-town has been added to my bucket list for places to attend a WWE Show!

      • Alex Gallardo

You can come to one with me LOL.

        • Jesse Sherwood

When I do it, we will meet up with Gesus and some other fans in the area and do a WNW dine out!

          • Robbie

Why would you want to meet up with him? Much better things to do.

          • Alex Gallardo

Why wouldn’t he want to meet up with me?

          • Jesse Sherwood

He means Gesus! And I want to meet up with all of our WNW fans! Even the heels! It’s something I think could be a cool thing to do.

          • Robbie

Pay for my flight and my accommodation, then I will spice it up over there!

          • Jesse Sherwood

            Where are you from Robbie?

          • Robbie

            England xD

          • Jesse Sherwood

Well, dang! I plan on taking a vacation there in a few years when I am eligible for overseas travel again. Maybe I can swing one in then!

          • Alex Gallardo

Trust me you’ll know me when I come out blasting We Can’t Stop from my car LOL.

          • Robbie

I was on about Gesus lol

          • Alex Gallardo

            Oh LOL sorry.

          • Alex Gallardo

            LOL I would love that.

          • Xavier

            I’m down

          • Cubed56

im only 4 hours from chi town

          • Jesse Sherwood

I’m 4 from St Louis, so about 6 from Chi.

          • Justin Mayo

Pay for me too while you’re at it, I’m in cali :-P

          • jomo12

I live 40 minutes from the arena. If these dine out plans come to fruition, make sure to include me!

  • Justin Mayo

Very nice twist bringing Cody/Goldie back to try to thwart the corporate evolution!

  • The Breaker

I’d like to know how Goldust got past security with the facepaint on.

    • Cubed56

lol, was thinking the same thing.

  • Mohan Ramnath

    woiiii navinnnnnnnnn

  • Xavier

I’ve lost a lot of interest in Ziggler since he’s turned face to be honest.

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

    Rhodes Dynasty FTW

  • Steve pritchard

This story line just got interesting again! Good to see goldie and cody back.

  • Mohan Ramnath

i’ve lost interestin in wrestling since every 1 does 5 moves is 1 order like the video game has 100′s or moves so what these guys cant change up and try something new . there are other safer moves also

del rio alone is boring as hell face or hell Mexican wit very big diapers

  • The Breaker

Ryder probably gets pinned on the WWE App.

  • Stephen Cash

Why does nobody ever run in to break up the count? So unrealistic…

    • Ashley

Or why tag in the injured guys who are taped up? How bout the guys who haven’t been in matches tonite

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

I hate how parts of matches are on the app even though I’ve probably watched one or two matches on the app that didn’t freeze every 7 seconds

  • Jesse Sherwood

After thinking about it, with the way they carried out the Rhodes Dynasty, I will be disappointed if we don’t see a backstage segment with the Rhodes and McMahons to close the show.

    • Robbie

I thought they would have done it before the match started

  • Xavier

Okay, I’m usually not one to criticize WWE but wouldn’t it make more sense for these guys to take the DQ so they could beat down the Shield and destroy them. This math is making these dudes look really weak

  • Cubed56

like the head nod between reigns and oneil, old foes as they played against one another in college. reigns at Georgia tech and oneil at florida.

    • Steve pritchard

Ga tech rarely plays fla ! You mean the ga bulldogs. Theyre in the same conference , ga tech is acc. Dont know if they ever played each other because im a dawg fan and absolutely despise ga tech and fla. so there for i dont keep with either unless they loose ! GO DAWGS .

      • Cubed56

Ga tech, they played a rare non conference game when both were in school

  • savokes

    Wow! Gabriel got demolished

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

Great spear by Gabriel and Reigns

  • Justin Mayo

This just seems like more of a burial to me. I know that they’re midcarders at best, not main eventers (DB being the exception), but for shield to have taken out 4 already and not lose one when taking on eleven guys, it’s just sad.

  • Stephen Cash

This is all a way to build the shield back up

  • The Breaker

The psychology here makes no sense. They have such a huge numbers advantage that they should be making quick tags.

  • Jesse Sherwood

Wow, does anyone else feel that The Shield is the only faction that could theoretically beat 21 men in a Handicap match?

    • Xavier

Lol yes. But it also feels like they couldn’t beat Bryan in a 3 on 1 handicap match.

    • http://tbrickert.wordpress.com/ TB rickert

I like what they are doing here, they were making the shield look weak these past few weeks. Whatever happens now they have looked strong

  • The Breaker

The Usos take out their cousin!

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

I’m sure WWE just crapped their pants when Cole points out that the first person to pin Reigns was an Uso…

    • Stephen Cash

I’m sure Vince told him to say it…

    • Cubed56

kinda cool, one cousin pinning another.

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

this reminds me of when Cena and Orton took on the entire Raw roster

  • Mohan Ramnath

del rio was only good for the cars i hate ricardo and now worst off wit rvd its annoyin to hear him roll hos tongue to say it .

and HHH with out the hair is as funny as undertaker with his lame ass moe hawk, i cant take either serious, undertaker doesnt even do scary wen he takes off the hat how can the wrestler not want to laugh.

besides his is the longest entrance takes so dam long to reach the ring i think we ought to get a horse for the man

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

nobody was pinned on the app for those of you who weren’t watching on it

    • Jesse Sherwood

I never do, as I have enough connection issues!

      • Alex Gallardo

My phone can’t connect to the Internet so I don’t either. The quality would probably keep auto switching the entire time.

      • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

same here! smartphones are TERRIBLE for watching something live

  • Xavier

This has been a very unique handicap match

  • savokes

DB running knee and Rollins’ Flying knee of the top rope are pretty similar..I know I’ve seen Rollins do it first…should either of them change it up?

  • Xavier

There’s gotta be some sort of swerve coming here soon.

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

interesting to see Ambrose eliminated 2nd….or eliminated at all.

    • Justin Mayo

Agreed, I actually thought he’d be the last to go

  • Cubed56

    a slight build for ziggler?

    • KINGFRANCHISE

      no way!!!

      • Cubed56

just saying after all the crap hes been talking and being in the doghouse, for him to pin ambrose is kinda surprising.

  • Jesse Sherwood

And Ziggler pins Ambrose to show he can possibly win the US Title on SD!

  • The Breaker

The rest of The Shield will just run back in.

  • Stephen Cash

Rollins eliminates everyone minus DOLPH AND DB, DOLPH turns on DB, and aligns with the corporation!

    • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

      that would be great

    • Alex Gallardo

That wouldn’t be a bad idea. I like Ziggler as a heel.

  • KINGFRANCHISE

    the truth!!!!

  • Justin Mayo

Five on one…anyone else see a screwy ending in the works?

  • Xavier

Why didn’t they just do this from the beginning?

  • The Breaker

    This should be a DQ.

    • Xavier

This whole match makes no sense lol

      • The Breaker

I shouldn’t have to suspend disbelief to the point of throwing common sense out the window!

        • Xavier

Yeah that match was all over the place. I’m usually able to suspend belief when watching wrestling but that match & ending left me scratching my head

    • Alex Gallardo

They were beaten up before they got their hands on them. So that means the match still goes on.

  • Mohan Ramnath

    dx might join in

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

this might be the most illogical booking of a match I’ve ever seen…..

    • Xavier

      LMAO Agreed

      • Justin Mayo

Maybe not- Shield could be pissed that Triple H screwed them over and go after him, only for Trips to have the Wyatts as backup, leading into possibly a match at survivor series? Only an idea, but if it goes that way, I could get into that

  • Stephen Cash

I really hope they get HBK back for this angle!

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

And again Rollins takes the pin? What gives?

  • Mohan Ramnath

i rely dont want to see hbk , i’d like to see regal for once

  • Justin Mayo

Anyone here predict Shield being pissed about Triple H screwing them by putting them in this match, they go after Trips, and Trips gets the Wyatts as backup, setting up a 3 on 3 matchup at SS?

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

this match and the I Quit back at Extreme Rules will be nominated for the Slammy Award for stupidest finish to a match!!!

  • Justin Mayo

    back soon, dog duty

  • Mohan Ramnath

rollin sells better, abrose over sells and reigns screams too much

  • Alex Gallardo

Well this was a very good Raw. I thought the ending could have been better, but at least Bryan is being built up. I had a great time with all of you and good night!

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

      Night Alex!

  • Xavier

Not sure how I feel about that ending or the crazy booking of that match. What ya’ll think?

  • Navin T. Ramkissoon

Well that was an illogical end to Raw there.

  • Ashley

I dont understand the point of that match

  • Mohan Ramnath

i think they are over pushin bryan to the burn they will burn him out with the crowd as bryan is starting to 5 moves in a row they gotta let him be techinical and mix it up more as well show other guys like ziggler an cesaro they can handle the shield guys as well

  • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

    see y’all next week!!

    • KINGFRANCHISE

      impact watch party, attend!!!!

    • Jesse Sherwood

      Night Mike!

  • KINGFRANCHISE

i will see you all thursday!!!! impact here we come!!!!

    • Jesse Sherwood

      See ya King!

      • KINGFRANCHISE

see u there jesse!!!! impact is live this week right???

        • Jesse Sherwood

As live as TNA gets! It’ll be on an hour tape delay.

  • The Breaker

The only interesting thing to happen this week was the ambush by The Rhodes brothers. Please let Battleground not be another throwaway PPV like Night of Champions!

See you all next week! Or on Thursday for Impact!

  • Steve pritchard

Maybe punk can give a big speech for the chicago bulls like he did the blackhawks . Then they might not get steam rolled by the Heat like they did the last two times lol GO HEAT!!!

  • Alain Alfred Corpuz

    Kofi eliminated 2 times LOL

  • kyleferretti

Ryback in, comes in off the top with a big missile drop kick, set up, but eats a spear for three.

    Eliminated – Ryder
    Kendra! wrong wrestler! :)

  • Andrew

I’m sorry but you may have to consider firing the person who wrote this article and/or adding autocorrect to the writers computer. I mean honestly, “Punk attacked Punk” and a lot of other stuff too!

  • Kris Mystery

I see the list of those who got the biggest pop… i’d guess Punk not being there was an oversight??

  • Terra Ryzing

Why isn’t CM Punk on the list for biggest pop??
