This week's WWE Raw Supershow did a 3.4 cable rating off hours of 3.38 and 3.43 with an average viewing audience of 4,963,000 viewers on the USA Network.
not bad at all
that's alot better then before
Because viewers found out that John Laurinaitis was 'fired' and wanted to enjoy a show without him. Lo, and behold he was in the 'main event' the next night as his final 'hurrah'. with none other than the face of the WWE himself.
I dearly hope that WWE comes to it's senses and eliminates Johnny from TV permanently. His bland character was cool for a while(at least for me) but now it's beyond overkill and he needs to be gone forever.
To be fair that theory doesn't follow because the 2nd hour was rated higher than 1st
Part of the bump is the novelty of being 3 hours. It's WWE's latest short-fix stunt for the ratings, that will only lead to an even deeper drop in a few months.
Laurinaitis is why ratings suck.
Refreshing Raws are good for business
Laurinitis is not "why" ratings have been down. He's a symptom of what's wrong with the show. It's not one, single thing. It's a collection of things that make for a lackluster, predictable and otherwise, uninteresting program. The show will get better when and if they realize that they're not going to find their future by digging into a ten-year-old bag of tricks.
Does anyone notice as the weeks go by RAW ratings are getting higher? We're almost at 5 million views! Not bad!
