WWE Smackdown! Opener:

The fireworks went off in the arena for the start of Smackdown! as Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield welcomed to the show from the Mohegan Sun Casino and tonight we will see World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali vs. Kane in a WrestleMania rematch. We will also hear from the number one contender, Batista.

In the arena:

MVP is in the ring and it's decked out with black carpet and a couple of couches. He welcomes us to the very first edition of the VIP Lounge. He says everywhere he goes, he is the VIP, and what makes MVP the VIP is the fact that he's better than you. Earlier in the week, he issued a challenge to Matt Hardy, a boxing match at Saturday Night's Main Event. Hardy accepted the challenge, but the doctors won't allow MVP to fight. They decided to choose surrogates. Hardy chose himself, and MVP chose Evander Holyfield. MVP brings out his guest, Matt Hardy. The music of Matt Hardy then hit in the arena as he made his way down. MVP tells Hardy to have a seat. MVP says it's not every day that people like Hardy get to hang out with people like him in places like this. Hardy cuts MVP off as a "Hardy" chant starts up. Hardy says last time people like him were challenged by people like MVP, MVP lost. He beat MVP in arm wrestling and the match after that, which led to MVP running away. Hardy said he would have beat MVP in a boxing match but MVP ran again and got Evander Holyfield. MVP said the doctors won't allow him to compete because of his heart condition. MVP calls Hardy a liar. Hardy says he will smarten everyone up...MVP has a heart condition and it's lack thereof. Hardy said he will fight Holyfield at Saturday Night's Main Event. MVP said that Hardy would accept any challenge he issues at any time. Hardy said that's right. MVP then introduces us to his next challenge...The Masterpiece, Chris Masters. Chris Masters made his way down to the ring. MVP calls for a referee and one runs down to the ring. We're going to have the Master Lock Challenge right here. Hardy decks Masters with a right hand and then MVP bails. Hardy takes a seat after some stalling and then Masters locks in the Master Lock. Hardy struggles around the ring trying to break the hold as MVP taunted him from ringside. Hardy tried to fight back and then MVP got in the ring and kicked Hardy in the gut and then slapped him. MVP said sometimes life sucks. MVP and Masters embraced and Hardy tried to get back up but then MVP got in the ring and gave him the Playmaker. MVP held the United States Title in front of Hardy and said Hardy will never get his hands on it because MVP is better than him. MVP's music hit and he made his way to the back to a chorus of boos as Hardy is down and out in the ring.

Backstage:

Vince McMahon and the Coach are shown walking backstage. McMahon asked Coach what he thought of his jacket, which was peach colored. Coach said he was looking sharp as ever. Coach said everyone in ECW checked out except Big Daddy V. McMahon said Big Daddy V could be his bastard child? McMahon said he is a big boy. McMahon said they need to check out everyone here tonight at Smackdown. McMahon said he has to know who his illegitimate child is. Coach told McMahon not to worry.

Jesse and Festus:

Jesse and Festus on Mr. McMahon. Jesse says McMahon is right here on Smackdown trying to find his child. Jesse wishes it was him, but he can't help but notice the resemblance to Festus. The chiselled jaw, the eyes...that face is a face of a McMahon. Festus stared blankly into the camera and drooled.
