WWE Smackdown! Opener:
We start off tonight with a look back at the Punjabi Prison Match from No Mercy.
Referee: Charles Robinson
Chuck Palumbo vs. Chris Masters
We see footage of Chris Masters’s attack on Chuck Palumbo after Palumbo’s victory last week.
The start:
Palumbo goes after Masters as the bell rings and he connects with a series of punches while Masters cowers in the corner. Palumbo with a clothesline and elbows. Palumbo with a running back elbow and Masters backs into the corner. Masters with a kick and then he tries for a suplex but Palumbo blocks it and hits a suplex of his own. Palumbo misses an elbow drop.
Mid-match notes:
Masters backs Palumbo into the corner and he punches Palumbo before the referee pulls him off. Masters with a suplex for a two count. Masters works on Palumbo’s back and then puts him in a rear chin lock as he sits on Palumbo’s back to add more pressure. Masters with a power slam for a two count and then he calls for the Master Lock. Palumbo is able to block the hold and he backs Masters into the corner. Palumbo with a clothesline. Masters and
The Finish:
Palumbo alternate forearms until Palumbo hits a forearm as he comes off the ropes and then he connects with a punch and clothesline. Palumbo with an Irish whip but Masters with a boot as Palumbo charges. Palumbo with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Palumbo misses the big boot but Masters misses a clothesline. Palumbo with a rollup for the three count.
Winner - Chuck Palumbo
The Aftermath:
After the match, while Palumbo tries to ride to the back, Masters attacks Palumbo and he applies the Master Lock to Palumbo and Palumbo tries to power out of it but he is unable to get out of the hold. We go to commercial.

Jesse and Festus vs. Conrad Carnes and Jay Adams
Before our next match, Jesse has something to say. He says that Festus is a little bit different because when he is in the ring, he is his normal effervescent self. When that bell rings, he is going to be like a tiger. When the match is over, he goes right back to his light-hearted good natured self.
The start:
Jesse has to hold Festus back when the bell rings. Jesse outsmarts his opponent at the start of the match by avoiding a lock up. When Jesse is sent to the apron, he avoids an attack and then slides back into the ring and applies a side head lock. Jesse avoids a hip toss and connects with an arm drag. Then he hits a drop kick on his opponent on the apron. We go to the locker room where Deuce, Domino, and Cherry are watching the match on a monitor.
Mid-match notes:
Jesse tags in Festus and after a kick, he punches away and then hits a big boot and head butt to the back and a leg drop. Festus throws off his other opponent but is then hit in the back. Festus throws his opponent into his partner on the apron and then hits a running big boot. Festus with a biel as their opponents make the tag. Jesse makes the tag and we return to Deuce, Domino, and Cherry in the back. Jesse gets a near fall.
The Finish:
Jesse worries too much about his opponent on the apron and he turns around into a clothesline. Their opponents make the tag. Jesse with a kick to the chest and he tags in Festus. Festus with a running shoulder tackle and then he jumps on his opponent’s chest. He hits a clothesline followed by a slam. Festus takes care of his other opponent who tries to attack Festus from behind. Jesse is tagged back in and they hits a rocket launcher shoulder tackle for the three count.
Winners - Jesse and Festus
Backstage:
We go to Deuce, Domino, and Cherry in the back and Domino says that is the best they have and Festus is the face of stupid. Jamie Noble enters the locker room and he says that they don’t know each other but they look like a couple of stand up guys and then he starts to leave. They want to hear what Noble has to say. Noble says that he was at the bar last night and he saw Jimmy Wang Yang talking about Cherry in a suggestive manner. Deuce wants to know what Yang said about his girlfriend but Noble says that he cannot say it in front of a lady. Domino wants to know what Yang said and he covers Cherry’s ears while Noble whispers into Deuce’s ear what Yang said. Deuce freaks out and Domino has to hold him back. Domino says that they need to go to Vickie Guerrero’s office to deal with this. They take Noble with them. We go to commercial.

Brett Major vs. Drew McIntyre
We are back and we hear from the newest member of the Smackdown roster, Drew McIntyre. He says that he would love to hear the fans chant ‘USA’ since he is applying for duel citizenship.
The start:
They lock up and McIntyre with a clean break. McIntyre with an arm bar but Major reverses. McIntyre reverses into a front face lock but Major tosses McIntyre to the mat. Major with an arm bar into a hammer lock and front face lock. McIntyre gets Major up and puts him on the apron. Major comes back into the ring and McIntyre kicks Major and then slams his head into the turnbuckle.
The Finish:
McIntyre with a hammer lock and takes Major to the mat and gets a cover. McIntyre with an arm bar and crossface before Major returns to this feet. Major with a leaping leg lariat and an elbow for a two count. Major with a drop kick. Taylor knocks Brian down on the floor and that distracts Brett and allows McIntyre to get the rollup for the three count.
Winner - Drew McIntyre
Backstage:
Montel Vontavious Porter is on the phone and he is talking about his match with the Undertaker and Kane. Matt shows up. They both talk about how they know what they can do against Kane and Taker. Matt says that they have to work as a team against Undertaker and Kane. Porter says that they will be the tag team champions and be of one mind and be on the same team. They shake hands and Porter tells Hardy to follow his lead. We go to commercial.
Non Title Match
Referee: Charles Robinson
The Undertaker and Kane vs. Matt Hardy and Montel Vontavious Porter (c)
The start:
Hardy and Kane start things off and Hardy with a waist lock and Hardy with forearms to the back Kane with a clothesline to Hardy followed by a slam. Taker tags in and he kicks Hardy before trying to go Old School but Hardy punches Taker to stop him. They fight on the turnbuckles and Taker pushes Hardy off. Porter with a clothesline from the apron and while he celebrates, Taker sits up and he pulls Porter into the ring. All four men are in the ring and Hardy is sent out of the ring. Kane and Taker set for a double choke slam but Hardy pulls Porter out of the ring.
Mid-match notes:
Porter and Hardy argue on the floor as we go to commercial. We are back and Taker works on Porter’s arm and Kane is tagged in and he punches Porter in the ribs. Kane with an uppercut to Porter and then he slams Porter’s head into the turnbuckles. Kane with an Irish whip but Kane misses a charge into the ring post and hits his left shoulder. Porter punches Kane in the corner but Kane pushes Porter off. Porter with the running boot into the corner but he can only get a two count. Porter with a front face lock and Hardy tags in. Hardy punches Kane and then hits a series of shoulders in the corner. Kane with an uppercut followed by a big boot. Taker tags in after Kane slams Hardy’s head into the turnbuckle followed by a punch and left shoulder in the corner. Taker punches Hardy in the corner and then he kicks him. Taker with a head butt but Porter pulls Taker into the corner and Hardy with shoulders. Porter tags in and he punches Taker until the referee admonishes him. Now it is Taker’s turn and he adds a few kicks. Taker starts to work on the arm and shoulder so it is time for Old School. Porter gets his foot on the rope when Taker covers. Kane tags in and he kicks Porter and Taker with a kick for good measure before he leaves the ring.
Kane with an Irish whip followed by the side slam and then he goes up top for the jumping clothesline and he hits it but only gets a two count. Kane throws Porter out of the ring and Taker checks on Porter. Taker slams Porter’s head into the ring steps before being rolled back into the ring. Taker with a running forearm to Porter with Porter draped over the apron. Taker hits the leg drop on the apron. Taker can only get a two count on Porter. Kane comes back in and he kicks Porter in the head. Kane with forearms to Porter n the corner but he charges into an elbow from Porter. Porter hits a running face buster and Hardy is tagged back in. Hardy with a flying forearm to Kane but Kane with an Irish whip. Kane misses a charge into the corner and Hardy tries for the bulldog but Kane pushes him off. Kane charges into Hardy’s boot and Hardy with an elbow from the second turnbuckle and then he hits a leg drop from the second turnbuckle. Hardy sets for the Twist of Fate, but Kane pushes Hardy off and then connects with a big boot. Kane gets Hardy up but Hardy counters into the Twist of Fate. Porter makes the tag and he covers Kane but only gets a two count. Kane grabs Porter’s leg and hits a short arm clothesline.
The Finish:
Taker tags in and he kicks Porter. Taker with the Irish whip and then he hits Snake Eyes followed by the running big boot and leg drop to Porter’s back but Porter kicks out at two. Porter kicks Taker but Taker does not like that. Porter avoids a punch from Taker but Taker punches Porter. Kane comes in and he punches Porter and that allows Taker to hit the Tombstone piledriver for the three count.
Winners - The Undertaker and Kane
Backstage:
We go to the newest member of the Smackdown team and new interviewer, Anastasia Rose. She is with Rey Mysterio. She asks Rey about his number one contender match against Finlay tonight. Rey says that his No Mercy match against Finlay was their first match together. He says that Finlay played him on Sunday. He speaks in Spanish and then he says that he did not like that one bit. He says that if Finlay wants to play dirty, he can play dirty too. He feels like he has that shot against Batista even though Batista is his friend. Rey tells Finlay that he is going to give him a fight.
Teddy Long Update:
Michael Cole talks about the Long/Marshall wedding and we see footage from three weeks ago. Cole says that Teddy Long is no longer in intensive care and he is improving.
Backstage:
We go to General Manager Vickie Guerrero’s office and she is with Jamie Noble. She says that Teddy is getting stronger day by day. Noble says that it was awesome the way that Vickie slid into Teddy’s job. Noble says that they are opportunists. Noble talks about what he did with Jimmy Yang and says that when Deuce and Domino are done with him, there will only be a pair of cowboy boots left. Vickie tells Jamie that since he is the elite opportunist, he has a match. Vickie says that Noble will be facing the Great Khali. Vickie says that she is not done and tells Noble that the match is next. Noble wants to know why Vickie would put him in a match like that. We go to commercial.

The Great Khali vs. Jamie Noble
Noble goes for the leg and Khali pushes him off. Noble with kicks and then he tries for a tornado DDT but Khali tosses Noble to the mat one more time. Khali with the chop to the top of the head and then he pays tribute to Rhino by raising his arms in the middle of the match. Khali sets for the Khali Krush and Noble is out.
Winner - The Great Khali

We go to commercial with a reminder to vote in Diva Search.

Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Deuce
Deuce is anxious to get in the ring to get a piece of Yang and he has some words for Yang before the bell rings. Deuce pushes Yang and Yang pushes back. Deuce with kicks to Yang followed by a back kick and he chokes Yang in the ropes. Deuce punches Yang and Yang tries to fight back. Deuce continues to punch Yang and then he rips of Yang’s shirt. Deuce puts Yang on the top turnbuckle and punches Yang in the back. Deuce tries for a belly-to-back suplex from the top but Yang knocks Deuce off and hits a moonsault for the three count.
Winner - Jimmy Wang Yang
The Aftermath:
After the match, Domino attacks Yang and then he holds Yang for Cherry to slap him. Domino holds Yang and Deuce hits the running boot in the face.
Number One Contender Match
Referee: Mickey Hensen
Finlay vs. Rey Mysterio
Batista comes to the ring to watch the main event that will determine his opponent at Cyber Sunday. We go to commercial. Before the match begins, Bradshaw gets on the mic and he tells the fans that they have the power to choose the referee for Batista’s title match. The choices are Mick Foley, Steve Austin, or the wish that every wrestling fan in the world wants and that is to see the Wrestling God back in the ring.
The start:
Rey with a kick and punches to Finlay as he tries to get an early advantage on the Irishman. Finlay with a forearm to the back of the head and then he Irish whips Rey but Rey with an elbow and a head scissors that sends Finlay into the turnbuckles. Rey misses a moonsault and Finlay rolls out of the ring and grabs the shillelagh. Rey hits springboard somersault senton on Finlay on the floor and we go to commercial. We are back and Rey kicks Finlay and hits a running dropkick into the corner.
Mid-match notes:
Rey hits a slingshot splash from the apron for a two count. Rey goes to the apron again and Finlay follows after him and sends Rey into the ring post. Finlay with a short arm clothesline on the floor and then he rolls Rey back into the ring and gets a near fall. Finlay with a hard Irish whip and then he puts Rey in a Boston Crab. Rey tries to get to the ropes but Finlay pulls him back into the center of the ring. Finlay with a knee to the back and a near fall. Rey with a kick to Finlay and then he tries for a tilt-a-whirl move but Finlay with a back breaker for a two count. Finlay with a knee to the back. Rey with a tilt-a-whirl head scissors and then he kicks Finlay and hits a wheelbarrow into a bulldog for a two count. Rey with a kick to Finlay’s head for another two count.
The Finish:
Rey with a drop toe hold that sends Rey into the ropes but Finlay goes out of the ring and Rey with a baseball slide to Finlay. Finlay attacks Rey as Rey returns to the ring but the referee pulls him away. Finlay with a forearm to Rey and Rey punches Finlay. The referee is losing control of the match but Rey and Finlay continue to battle. Rey takes Finlay down and punches him but Finlay punches Rey. Rey and Finlay continue to brawl and the referee gets knocked down and he is calls for the bell.
Winner - No Contest
The Aftermath:
After the match, Finlay with a short arm clothesline to Rey. Finlay goes for the shillelagh and he stands over Rey. The lights go out and Taker appears in the ring and Finlay and Rey are down. Taker looks at Batista and Batista gets up from his seat at the announce table. Taker signals that he wants the belt as we go to credits.
