Hey! Am I alone in here this week?

    • Alex Gallardo

I’m here too. Quieter watch parties are better though.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Yeah, but I have to admit that I miss being able to join in on Monday nights.

    • CJ Blaze

      I’m here for once!

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

        Yay!

        • CJ Blaze

I finally have a free Friday night :)

          • Alex Gallardo

Thank for spending it with us.

          • CJ Blaze

No problem, I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile.

          • CJ Blaze

No problem, I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile.

          • Alex Gallardo

Good, I like Smackdown watch parties better because I don’t have to be constantly looking back at my computer to click on new comments.

          • CJ Blaze

True. Monday nights seem to be busy for me, so I find myself reading the comments, rather than responding all the time.

          • David Jr.

Raw’s Live Party has gotten so big, I have hard time keeping up.

          • Alex Gallardo

Sometimes I don’t even read them, and just refresh the page to get them out of my way.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I was supposed to be out at craft night tonight, but I decided to stay home and hang out.

        • David Jr.

          Make it four.

          • Alex Gallardo

            The more the merrier.

          • CJ Blaze

            Welcome David!

      • Alex Gallardo

So I guess it will be the three of us

  • CJ Blaze

Punk, Bryan, and maybe Cena all on the same episode of SmackDown?!

  • Alex Gallardo

CM Punk isn’t the best way to start off Smackdown. The guy was only good for one shoot promo and getting buried by Kevin Nash on the mike.

  • Alex Gallardo

Too bad Punk is considered star power in today’s WWE.

    • CJ Blaze

I consider him star power, and I think WWE does too, but he’s stuck taking a backseat to Orton and The Corporation right now

      • Alex Gallardo

I don’t, Punk is only remembered for being an IWC darling and getting some of Raw’s lowest ratings during his year long title reign. We need larger than life star power in WWE.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

That has been discussed, and if you’re going to go there, you need to bring the proof. We’re not discussing this again. I know you have your feelings on the matter, but I had the numbers.

          • Alex Gallardo

I wouldn’t go too into that in a watch party but I have made my feeling quite clear on that one. Punk isn’t huge star and those who believe he is the BITW need to get a clue.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

You also need to be careful throwing around comments like that. You know we don’t play that way here, and that’s akin to calling me names.

          • Alex Gallardo

I wasn’t calling anyone names, I was just stating how I feel.

          • SammieJ

Don’t call her names. It’ll hurt her feelings..

  • Alex Gallardo

AND Curtis Axle, they need Konnan there to bury him again.

  • Alex Gallardo

However, while I don’t like either of the two it’s a good decision to have Smackdown open up with a match.

    • CJ Blaze

I agree, but I’m not sure how many people want to see this match again.

  • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Proof that Punk’s star power is beyond his work – my teen girl just staggered off to change the background pic on her computer, and said she’d go to more wrestling shows with me if he’s going to be there.

    • Alex Gallardo

I don’t like him but he sure can get attention from the ladies.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Not the last time I saw him live, but the time before, he did something wonderfully sweet. After his main event match, he was greeting everyone around the ring, and all the barricades. The young lady next to me tripped and fell. Punk stopped, helped her to her feet, made sure she was okay, then ruffled her hair with a sweet smile for her. It was so endearing.

        • David Jr.

Have you seen the CM Punk video, his friends said he’s a great friend, a terrible boyfriend.

        • Alex Gallardo

That was nice, but then again there was that time he called someone in the crowd a homo which automatically lowered my respect for him.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I’m not saying he’s a great guy, it was a sweet moment. He’s done a lot of stupid stuff, and not someone I’d want to hang out with.

          • Alex Gallardo

Neither would I. God knows who awful it would be to watch wrestling with him.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

That I might actually enjoy, but I can be quite horrid to watch with myself.

  • David Jr.

Paul Heyman may have a great wrestling mind, but does anyone think he’s overrated as a manager? Who has he help make a star? Brock Lesnar? Would Lesnar have been one without Heyman?

    • Alex Gallardo

Lesner was already over without Heyman. He’s a good mouth piece for Brock but Brock got himself over. He ran ECW out of business.

      • David Jr.

WWE and WCW ran ECW out of business.

        • Alex Gallardo

EDIT: I read that wrong. I thought you said WWE ran WCW and ECW out of business. ECW went under because Paul could not run the finances of ECW and never paid wrestlers. WWE and WCW had no influence in their fall besides Raw taking over their spot on TNN.

          • David Jr.

I didn’t say WCW went out of business I said WCW helped put ECW out of business.

          • Alex Gallardo

            I edited that comment.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Ted Turner wanted OUT of the wrestling business. That’s the biggest thing. Bisch was in the process of putting together a deal to buy WCW, but without Turner wanting WCW, there was no TV deal, so no way for Bisch to make it into anything. That’s why it was perfect for McMahon to buy.

But the writing was on the wall. The ratings were dropping, the booking was crap, and WCW as a brand would have had a lot to get past if they were going to make it. I don’t know if it would have been possible after how badly it had been run by Bisch, Russo, and a number of others. So it legitimately went out of business. McMahon bought the name, the video library and some contracts. WCW was done, and has never been brought back as a name, to me that’s out of business, and on the books, it’s out of business.

          • Alex Gallardo

Still, even though Ted did leave the business all that did was cost them to lose a lot of money in 2000 due to guaranteed contracts. The writing was awful and ratings were dropping that’s true, but their ratings were still higher than what Smackdown and Impact get today and they’re still on TV. They never went into bankruptcy AOL and Time Warner didn’t want to be associated with wrestling so they dropped it. Vince bought them but it was AOL and Time Warner that really put them under by handing WCW to Vince.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Right, but if they had been still doing well, getting the ratings, and were not bleeding money six ways to Sunday, then Turner would have stuck with it. WCW put themselves out of business and McMahon scavenged the scraps.

          • Alex Gallardo

WCW once again, lost a lot of money in 2000 because of the large and guaranteed contracts. Without Ted they didn’t have an endless flow of cash so they lost the money. Vince saw something in WCW and made an entire angle out of buying it.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

We are talking the same thing from different ways, and I’m not going to argue.

          • Alex Gallardo

            Fine by me.

          • David Jr.

They were losing there big stars to WWE and WCW, so Heyman had to start over and over again building up guys. Heyman couldn’t make money, if he kept losing the wrestlers people would have paid to see.

          • Alex Gallardo

Heyman sold out the Hammerstein Ballroom on their final PPV and they’re ratings for ECW on TNN were higher than what TNA get today. They still had a good fanbase but it was their bad deal with TNN and Paul being a bad business man that really killed them.

          • David Jr.

You’re right, you make more sense.

          • Alex Gallardo

Your argument was good. I find these discussions mainly about coming to a fair conclusion on our different opinions.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Just proof that Dixie is failing.

          • Alex Gallardo

Yup, we won’t have to debate there.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I think Heyman is filling a slot that needs filling in the WWE, but his genius is on mic and behind the scenes.

      • David Jr.

I think managers in wrestling are like managers in all sports. They still need talent to succeed. As great as Heyman is he still needs a Lesnar like guy to lead to the main event. He’s not going to lead untalented guys to main events.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Agreed, and that’s why he worked well with Punk. But trying to get guys who can’t get over in any way with him to get over doesn’t work.

      • Alex Gallardo

Keep him out of running the finances of a company and he does great for creative.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

          That is true.

  • CJ Blaze

Despite not caring about the match, I’m glad Punk won here

  • CJ Blaze

    Ugh 3MB.

  • Alex Gallardo

3MB are just a set of three PG Pukes that WWE uses to fill in for three hours of Raw. They waste time and draw nothing.

  • Alex Gallardo

Total Divas is the only reality show I can really tolerate, it can still be really awful though.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

My youngest is chomping at the bit for it to return, but I watch before she can see each episode. I like some reality TV, and am surprised that I like Total Divas as much as I do, though it took a while to grow on me.

      • Alex Gallardo

I thought it was really going to be awful and there are a few episodes where it was bad. But it’s still better than Teen Mom or Jersey Shore.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I don’t even go there! I’m a more traditional with Survivor. And I will watch Redneck Island for my SCSA fix, but those others, I won’t even try! I’d sooner watch Hannah Montana.

          • Alex Gallardo

I don’t watch much TV besides wrestling but of course I would watch Hannah Montana over all three of the shows. I have recently seen a documentary of Miley so that’s the closest thing to reality TV that I’ve been watching.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

My oldest daughter once went to work (Arby’s, about 7 years ago) and one of her coworkers said she was almost late because she was watching HM. Ellie laughed at her and told the girl that her mother was watching HM when she left for work, but that I was watching to see Billy Ray. The young girl was all grossed out by that, and it almost killed the show for her.

          • Alex Gallardo

That’s why the show was almost killed for her? She does realize that there are a lot of people who are like you who watch that. Hannah Montana is dead though, according to Miley.

          • Alex Gallardo

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            I know, and I understand.

The girl was mortified that I was watching for Billy Ray who she thought was old and icky.

          • David Jr.

Billy Ray Cyrus rules, Achy Breaky Heart is a great song.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

It is great! And he’s been so much yummier since he got rid of that mullet!

          • David Jr.

It’s the song that made country music, mainstream.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

That it did, and Billy Ray with his looks had a lot to do with it.

          • David Jr.

I love country music and thank him for it.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Really? I rarely admit it for the crap I get. Then again, my three girls and I were belting out Neil Diamond last night, and I didn’t start it. In my house Diamond is much more acceptable than country.

          • David Jr.

I’m not afraid to admit I like country music. Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban are the people I listen to.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I do to, when alone in the car. I can’t listen to music while I write, so it’s in the car or before I start writing for the day. I sadly have little time for music.

          • David Jr.

Well in reality the music I listen to the most is the Wiggles, Learning Station, Signing Time, etc.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I have to admit that I don’t envy you. I’m so glad my kids are past that point!

          • David Jr.

I’ve listened to them so much, I actually like them.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I like the Wiggles, but the rest gets stuck in my head and I find myself typing the lyrics and not what I’m supposed to be writing.

          • David Jr.

I don’t know if you even know what Learning Station is, but it’s been proven that there music is actually good for people’s brain and health, no matter the age, be an infant or 100 years old.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I will absolutely check it out then! I need all the help I can get after being ill the past couple year. I’m finding big memory gaps, and things just aren’t working as well as they were before that, and it’s not because I turned 40.

          • David Jr.

I’m not exactly sure how they help, but my aunt follows them on her facebook page, and I know she mentioned on it how retirement home use to help the elderly there. Not saying you should be in a retirement home.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Interesting! I’ll take all the help I can get!

          • David Jr.

They are what people would consider kid songs though.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I figured that. I pulled them up on FB and they look like the types. But they also look familiar, so I’ll have to ask Stacy.

          • David Jr.

They’ve been around for over 26 years.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Then I must have seen them in the past.

          • David Jr.

The helping of the brain is 2nd hand knowledge, so I’m know expert on it. So don’t take my word as 100% truth.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

As i said, I will look into it. I’ve been trying a lot of things lately. I just won’t listen when I’m writing!

            Thanks for the info.

          • David Jr.

Have you lived in Maine, your entire life? Because they started out in Connecticut before moving to Florida. And isn’t Connecticut really close to Maine?

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Fairly close to Maine. I’ve been Maine, New Hampshire, Mass all growing up. Then Florida Keys, Jersey, Maryland, then back home to Maine.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Kurgan and Edge are working together! Too cool!

          • David Jr.

Ooh almost a fight scene with them too.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

He speared Kurgan! That was great!

          • David Jr.

When I saw Kurrgan on the first time, I was waiting for the first time, him and Edge would appear on the screen together.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

It’s that Edge actually speared him that got me.

          • Alex Gallardo

Eh, I would NEVER say that Billy Ray is “yummy” but if you like him I have no problem with that. It sure as hell won’t ruin Miley for me. I love her for her music, not her dad.

          • Alex Gallardo

Some people are just very judgmental. As David says Billy Ray is great and just wants the best for his family.

  • CJ Blaze

AJ should get a YouTube show where she talks about how she’s better than everyone, and goes around insulting all the divas

    • Alex Gallardo

I would watch that, AJ Lee is the best current WWE diva. She’s a refreshing site from the average models we’ve seen since 2007.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

She’s the best character, and a stronger wrestler than most, but I’m still itching to see Paige come up.

        • CJ Blaze

AJ vs. Paige….. ooooooooh how I die to see that

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

That has to happen! It just has to!

        • Alex Gallardo

I can’t believe that they let Eva Marie on TV yet keep Paige in NXT. I know she’s young but she can be an asset.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Not just EM, what about Summer Rae?

          • CJ Blaze

I agree on both. Paige and Emma deserve the spot more IMO

          • David Jr.

But do you want to see Paige or Emma dancing with Fandango?

          • CJ Blaze

I see your point. Summer needs to stay a dancer and not a competitor is what I’m meaning.

          • CJ Blaze

I see your point. Summer needs to stay a dancer and not a competitor is what I’m meaning.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

She should take some dance lessons and stay on Dingle’s arm, not trying to play like she thinks she’s a wrestler in the ring.

          • Alex Gallardo

Just take most of that roster out and replace them with true female wrestlers who can DRAW.

  • David Jr.

Where’s Xavier, his girl is on?

  • David Jr.

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again. I would let AJ put me in her submission just to tap out.

    • Alex Gallardo

I have a girl crush on AJ, not just because she’s a very pretty lady, but because she seems like a laid back and cool person in real life.

  • Alex Gallardo

I clicked on We Can’t Stop by Miley Cyrus then it opened The Way by Ariana Grande, I’m not even mad.

  • CJ Blaze

Del Rio, I’m holding my cup of care. And it is empty, so get off my TV

    • Alex Gallardo

Me too, I couldn’t care less about him or Cena.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

CJ, thanks for making Stacy and I laugh. I had to read that to him. We bash ADR a lot in this house. Sam has an ADR Rumbler that she beats up with her full sized Cena and Scott Hall.

      • CJ Blaze

Haha, no problem! That’s hilarious :)

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

That Scott Hall is her favorite wrestler makes me giggle all the time. She just doesn’t have the inflection on her ‘Hey yo’ down pat yet.

          • David Jr.

Ever show her Razor Ramon stuff?

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

A little. She’s seen very little of Hall’s stuff, just adores him. I was just thinking I should find us some to watch on Sunday.

          • David Jr.

My favorite Razor Ramon/Scott Hall history was his feud with the one 1-2-3 Kid. The NWO was great but I enjoyed that more.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            I agree, that was fantastic!

          • Alex Gallardo

Scott Hall is awesome, he’s come through so much and was GOLD with Kevin Nash in the Outsiders.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

And this isn’t any excuse for me to watch Nash back in the day! Never!

  • Alex Gallardo

Why is Cena doing this bad attempt at making us laugh again?

    • CJ Blaze

Well he made my grandma laugh lol

      • Alex Gallardo

You need to show your grandma better wrestling if she can find enjoyment out of Cena. She’ll be hooked on the AE.

        • CJ Blaze

You should see her during a Cena match, she will drop whatever she is doing to watch him….

          • Alex Gallardo

Your Grandma is a Cena mark all right

          • CJ Blaze

            Yes she is!

          • Alex Gallardo

That’s okay, I myself am a Hogan mark.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Sam does that with Cena, Bryan, and Bray. I think she’s learning well while still being a kid.

          • CJ Blaze

That’s how I was. And then one day I looked up WWE news on google and discovered WNW, and eventually became a member of the IWC lol

          • Alex Gallardo

I discovered this site though Alex Barie and his Facebook page. It introduced me to TNAnews and now WNW. It was the best thing to happen to me since I’ve joined the IWC.

  • David Jr.

We are at our 2nd from the last Pay-Per-View of the year. (Only TLC is left). And every World Heavyweight Championship match in 2013 has had Alberto Del Rio in it. I know some say WWE wants to have Del Rio in the limelight because Rey Mysterio is out and they want the Mexican audience. But Rey Mysterio never had a World Title match for almost the entire year.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

And Rey deserved it so much more than ADR! I know a lot of people had issue with Rey’s size and that it’s the heavyweight title, but Rey has more than proved himself for MANY years.

    • Anand Vijayakumar

Hopefully this will be his last world heavyweight title match for many many years to come. I just cannot see this guy as a main-event player.

BORING is the one word that comes to mind whenever i see him on screen.

      Please WWE please…

  • Alex Gallardo

The Great Khali and ADR? Oh boy.

    • Anand Vijayakumar

Both of these guys must be put into a cargo container (like what Triple H did to the Spirit squad) and sent to Developmental for a long time to come…

  • CJ Blaze

I read today that there is a renewed focus on big guys, and that is apparently why Khali, Show, and Harper have been featured more

    • Alex Gallardo

I like a focus on big guys, but Khali, and Harper aren’t really larger than life. Khali is a joke and Harper is mainly his best with the Wyatts from what I’ve seen.

  • David Jr.

Did they think hmm, we’re going to have Cena vs. Del Rio again at Survivor Series, let’s see who’s better at wrestling a broom? No broom available well than lets have them face Ryback and Khali, respectively.

    • Anand Vijayakumar

I saw the show and Cena’s match with Ryback was not half as bad. Cena is trying out new moves – he had a full nelson switched onto a neck breaker that was new..

Ryback tried a goldberg jackhammer on cena. I was like – WOW talk about ripping a guys character off!!!

  • David Jr.

WWE 2k14 isn’t the greatest wrestling game of all time, That still goes to WWF No Mercy.

  • David Jr.

Am I right to assume that WWE thinks more of Luke Harper as a wrestler than Erik Rowan, since Harper fought in single matches on Raw and Smackdown?

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

That’s how I see it, but I think a big part of it could be Harper’s gator roll. That is such a perfect move for his character.

  • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

From above, that does NOT look like the Maine coast. I love Haven, and that they don’t throw in all sorts of terrible Maine accents, but they dropped the ball wit the aerial.

  • CJ Blaze

Hilarious poll options from the WWE app: Do you believe ADR’s explanation about being sick at HIAC? Options are Yes, what a trooper! Or No, Del Rio just makes others sick. You can guess which I voted LOL

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

      Going to vote now!

    • Anand Vijayakumar

I just hope they show the results of the poll on live TV :)

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

        It’s at 87% right now!

  • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Bryan has trimmed his beard a bit, and has been pulling his hair back so he doesn’t look as shaggy as The Wyatt Family. No clue when Sheamus is due back, but wonder if that’s why he’s clean shaven as well. Not saying he’s going to join the feud, just that he’s another big ginger.

  • David Jr.

To me, the Bryan vs. Orton feud, both guys end up looking like losers in it. Bryan looked like he never had a chance against the Authority and Orton was made to look like he couldn’t win without help from Triple H.

    • CJ Blaze

Very logical point. It will be interesting to see how Show vs. Orton will end.

      • David Jr.

It’s got to be to make Randy Orton look strong.

        • CJ Blaze

You would think so, but this could just be another stepping stone to set up Triple H vs. Big Show. Or maybe not, who knows what they have planned.

  • David Jr.

Interesting note, Big Show has the WWE Championship match at Survivor Series. He’s a 2 time WWE Champion winning both matches at the Survivor Series.

  • David Jr.

Did John Cena just say it must be Tuesday?

    • CJ Blaze

I think so… I find it funny when they make that mistake

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Nope, I just rewound it. “It must be Snoozeday!” Because he didn’t get the good pop the first time out.

      • CJ Blaze

        Oooh, that makes sense

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Would have been better if he’d screwed it up.

          • David Jr.

Who’s screw up would it have been John Cena’s (even though it would have been Tuesday when it was taped) or the guys who edit the show?

  • CJ Blaze

You should realize your career or character hasn’t worked when not even Paul Heyman can help you.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

With his ego, he thinks it’s everyone else’s fault that he’s not champ. He’s good at blaming everyone else when things don’t go the way they should in the ring, so why not blame Heyman as well?

We were talking earlier about maybe Heyman isn’t the best manager, but it’s hard when you’re stuck working with guys like Ryback.

      • CJ Blaze

Yeah. I’m waiting for Reeves to get mad and leave the company for TNA. That would be interesting….

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Thinking he’d be the big fish in a little pond? Be shocked if they didn’t Goldberg him, but it would, and possibly will, be interesting to watch. That is if he can get the money out of TNA that he thinks he deserves. Then again, getting him from the WWE, they’d pay him more.

McMahon might tie him up in contract litigation to keep him out of TNA. Just a thought.

          • CJ Blaze

Even though there are several problems with Ryback, I don’t see Vince dropping him that easy either. Or he’ll say here, you deal with him!

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I can see them keeping him around, just to keep him from TNA. Who owns the name Ryback at this point?
