WWE Smackdown Results – (5/3/13)

Welcome to this week’s Smackdown! The show begins with a highlight from Raw. The Shield is shown defeating Daniel Bryan, Kane and an injured John Cena. Afterwards, Ryback stands on the ramp as Cena’s right ankle is checked out.

Ryback makes his way to the ring. Ryback says he knew Cena was hurt, which is why he refused to tag with him. Ryback didn’t feel like he should have to watch over him, saying Cena put himself at risk. It was Cena that lost the match against the Shield. Ryback says Cena was hopping around like a weak animal. Ryback says the bigger, faster and stronger always eat the weak. Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring.

1/2 WWE Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan vs. Ryback

Daniel begins with a kick, but backs away. Ryback attempts a Clothesline, but Daniel kicks and backs away. Daniel is caught, but kicks Ryback in the corner. Daniel is finally caught, being whipped. Daniel kicks a bowed Ryback, continuing with kicks to the legs. Ryback takes Daniel into the corner with shoulders to the gut. A chop follows Daniel’s attempt to escape. Ryback connects with a Body Slam. The flurry of kicks continue, but is stopped once again. Daniel is thrown to the floor, as Ryback follows. Daniel gets back in the ring, quickly connecting with a Baseball Slide Dropkick. Bryan follows with a Suicide Dive. Daniel and Ryback get back in the ring. Ryback throws knees to the gut of Bryan in the corner. Ryback goes for another slam, but is kicked in the legs. Daniel is pushed to the mat, after having his kick caught. Daniel escapes a Suplex attempts, running the ropes. Ryback grabs him, pressing him. Bryan is then thrown to the floor.

Daniel is thrown from the corner by his beard, Bryan goes to the apron, as he is taken out with fists. Daniel shoulders an oncoming Ryback, attempting a Sunset Flip Pin. Ryback takes his head, and slams it into the mat. Ryback attacks Bryan in the corner, running towards him. Daniel manages a kick, following with a move from the second rope. Ryback catches Bryan, as he connects with a Front Power Slam. Pin, but a kick out. Daniel continues with kicks, but is taken down with a Thesz Press. Daniel reverses into a Half Boston Crab. Ryback crawls to the ropes, but doesn’t reach. Ryback powers out, as Daniel attacks the knee. Bryan runs the ropes, connecting with a Flying Larait. Daniel connects with a Dropkick to a cornered Ryback. Daniel puts the leg of Ryback in the ropes, Dropkicking that as well. Daniel goes to the top rope, connecting with a Missile Dropkick. Pin, but a kick out. Daniel throws kicks to Ryback’s chest. Daniel goes for a Roundhouse, but Ryback picks him up. Both tumble over the top rope to the floor. Daniel crawls to the apron, attempting a knee. Ryback catches him, slamming his back into the ring post. Both reenter the ring. Ryback deadlifts Daniel up, connecting with a Powerbomb. Daniel kicks Ryback away, but is again hit with a Powerbomb. Ryback connects with the Meat Hook. Ryback finishes with Shell Shock for the win.

Winner: Ryback via pinfall

Backstage, Ricardo Rodriguez speaks of his defeat of Zeb Colter and Big E Langston. Ricardo says he is excited to face Zeb Colter, then kissing Renee Young. Alberto tells him to relax, as they walk away.

Zack Ryder is in the ring. Fandango makes his way to the ring, with Summer Rae.

Fandango w/ Summer Raw vs. Zack Ryder

Fandango begins with knees to the gut. Ryder is whipped, as he connects with an Arm Drag. Ryder follows with a Drop Toe Hold. A Dropkick follows, but Fandango moves. Ryder is put in the ropes, as the back of his head is hit with forearms. Fandango goes to the floor, connecting with an Enziguri from the floor. Pin, but a kick out. Ryder is whipped, as he connects with a Facebuster. Ryder knees Fandango in the corner, following with a Broski Boot. Pin, but a kick out. Ryder goes for a Rough Ryder, but he is thrown into the ropes. Fandango connects with a Russian Legsweep. Fandango finishers with a Diving Legdrop for the win.

Winner: Fandango via pinfall

Fandango pronounces his name, before leaving.

Kaitlyn is backstage, holding roses. Natalya asks her about them, as Kaitlyn reads a text she received. Kaitlyn says she wishes he would revel himself. Khali gives advice, telling her to deep breath. Khali tells her to relax, and come to him if she has any questions.

A Make-a-Wish video is shown, highlighting the events on Raw.

Backstage, Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger are interviewed about his upcoming match. Renee Young is told she alters facts to fit her own personal agenda. Zeb says that he was actually really sick, but went to work regardless. Colter was told on Twitter saying he has been called a role model. However, his victory was handed over to an immigrant. Colter says he could go to the police for theft, he wants to rectify it himself. Zeb says unlike Ricardo, Real Americans play fair.

Ricardo Rodriguez, with Alberto Del Rio, makes his way to the ring.

Zeb Colter, with Jack Swagger, makes his way to the ring.

Ricardo Rodriguez w/ Alberto Del Rio vs. Zeb Colter w/ Jack Swagger

Zeb begins pushing Ricardo, following with slaps. Ricardo pulls on the mustache of Colter. Ricardo rides his back like a horse. Colter begins pushing Ricardo. Colter throws fists to Ricardo. Rodriguez connects with a Superkick to the gut. Swagger attacks Ricardo from behind.

Winner: Ricardo Rodriguez via disqualification

Alberto makes the save, taking Swagger to the floor. Teddy Long interrupts, making a tag team match.

Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez vs. Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter

Swagger whips Ricardo to the corner. Swagger runs to him, but Ricardo jumps. Jack has his shoulder smashed into the ring post. Del Rio is tagged, as he takes out Swagger with a Tilt-a-whirl Backbreaker. Del Rio put Swagger on the ropes, hitting him with forearms to the back. Swagger connects with an Arm Breaker, following with a Crossarm Breaker. Big E and Dolph Ziggler interrupt.

Winners: Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez via disqualification

Teddy Long makes the match a Triple Threat Tag Team Match.

Triple Threat Tag Team Match: World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston vs. Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter vs. Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez

Dolph is taken out in the corner by Del Rio, followed by a Snapmare. Del Rio kicks his backs, as Ricardo is tagged. Ricardo kicks ZIggler in the face. Pin, but a kick out. Ricardo connects with a Low Single Leg Dropkick. Del Rio is tagged, as he does the same. Dolph connects with a Dropkick, as Big E is tagged. Del Rio is hit with a Belly-to-belly Suplex. Big E slams Del Rio in the corner, following with a Spear. Ziggler is tagged, as he connects with a Splash in the corner. Pin, but a kick out. Dolph locks in a Headlock, as Del Rio stands out. ZIggler is whipped, as he kicks Del Rio. Ziggler is thrown in the air with a Pop Up, as he falls to the mat. Dolph connects with a Neckbreaker. Big E is tagged, but is taken out by Del Rio. Big E fights back in the corner. Del Rio is thrown off of Big E’s shoulders. Big E tackles Del Rio into the corner. Another Spear follows. Dolph is tagged, as he goes for another Splash. Del Rio moves, connecting with a Superkick. Del Rio connects with a Backstabber to Jack Swagger. Colter is taken out. Dolph, Swagger and Big E are taken to the floor. Dolph DDTs Alberto before Colter is attacked. Big E reenters the ring, attacking Ricardo. Swagger takes out Big E, but is then caught with an Enziguri form Del Rio. Ziggler rolls up Del Rio, but it is taken into a Cross Armbreaker.

Winners: Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez via submission

The Shield appear on the Titantron, speaking of breaking John Cena and the Undertaker. Dean says Kane is misguided. Kane thinks justice is revenge, but putting Kane is actual justice. The Shield says justice will catch up to Kane. By the end of the night, they will believe in the Shield. As the camera is put down, Daniel Bryan is shown laying on the floor.

Randy Orton makes his way to the ring. Damien Sandow makes his way to the ring.

Randy Orton vs. Damien Sandow

Randy and Damien lock up, as Orton is thrown against the ropes. Sandow is taken out with a shoulder. They lock up again, as Sanndow locks in a Side Headlock. Orton reverses, but is thrown against the ropes. Another shoulder follows. Sandow gets Orton in the corner, with stomps. Orton is whipped, connecting with a knee to the gut. A Snapmare and Knee Drop follows. Pin, but a kick out. Sandow locks in a Headlock, but Orton fights out. Sandow is whipped to the corner, as he does a Float Over. Damien is taken out with Clotheslines and a Scoop Slam. Orton goes for a DDT, but Sandow reverses. Orton is sent to the apron, as Orton is hit to the floor.

-Commercials

Orton connects with a Back Suplex to Sandow. Damien kicks out the leg of Orton, connecting with a DDT. Pin, but a kick out. Sandow throws some knees to the face, following with a Russian Legsweep. Two Elbow of Distains follows. Pin, but a kick out. Damien locks in a Headlock, but is headbutt. A Dropkick connects as Damien Runs the ropes. Orton also connects with a Back Bodydrop. Sandow rolls to the apron, but is hit with a Rope Hung DDT. Orton connects with an RKO for the win.

Winner: Randy Orton via pinfall

Big Show makes his way to the ring with a mic. Big Show says Orton is an amazing one-on-one competitor. Show stresses that Orton isn’t much of a team player. Show speaks of Orton’s big ego and losing to the Shield because of it. Show says if that didn’t happen, he wouldn’t have been knocked out. Damien attacks from behind, connecting with the Terminus. Show says that was funny, but at Extreme Rules, there will be nothing funny about what happens to him.

Backstage, Kane tells Matt Striker that he will make the Shield pay for what they did to Daniel and Undertaker. Kane knows what he is getting into, and knows what will happen to him. Kane says if he has to go down, he will take down as many as he can. Kane says they will then go on a little journey to a place called Hell.

Mark Henry makes his way to the ring, for an Arm Wrestling Challenge. Sheamus makes his way to the ring as his opponent. Henry stalls, looking for a towel. Sheamus is forced to whip his hands. Henry begins stretching out, then taking his shirt off. They finally begin, as Henry wins. Sheamus congratulates, but says he doesn’t believe his left arm is as strong. Henry begins to walk away, as Sheamus taunts him. Sheamus begins playing mind games. They finally begin, as Sheamus connects with a fist and a Brogue Kick.

A video is shown of the Shield attacking the Undertaker.

Dean Ambrose makes his way to the ring, with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, who is carrying Daniel Bryan’s belt. Kane makes his way to the ring. Kane begins brawling with Rollins and Reigns on the floor. Roman is sent to the announce desk and Rollins is sent over the barricade.

1/2 WWE Tag Team Champions Kane vs. Dean Ambrose w/ Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns

Dean is thrown into the corner, being attacked with fists. Kane throws Dean to the floor, following. Kane slams Dean on the barricade face first. Dean is put with his head on the apron, as he is kicked in the side of the head. Both reenter the ring. Kane ties Ambrose’s arm in the ropes, hitting him in the face. Kane follows with a Larait. Dean goes to the second rope, but is hit to the floor.

Ambrose stomps on the foot of Kane.Dean grabs the foot, pulling it to the side. Kane hops to the corner, but fights back. The two trade fists, but Dean gets the upperhand. Kane has his leg put int he ropes, and stomped in. Dean goes top rope, throwing fists to the face. Dean follows with a Corner Elbow Strike. Dean goes to the floor, slamming Kane’s leg into the ring post. Dean ties the legs around the ring post. Ambrose goes top rope, but is thrown off into the ring. Kane throws fists, as Dean is taken put with a Sidewalk Slam. Pin, but a kick out. Kane goes top rope, connecting with a Flying Larait. Kane goes for a Chokeslam, but Dean gets out. Kane reverses again, connecting. Kane signals for the Tombstone, but Dean gets out. Rollins is pushed off the apron, as Kane is then thrown over. Dean is thrown into the announce table. Kane takes out Rollins and Reigns. When Kane reenters the ring, he is kicked in the knee. Dean finishes with a Headlock Driver for the win.

Winner: Dean Ambrose via pinfall

Kane continues the fight, but is taken out. Kane goes for a Double Chokeslam to Rollins and Ambrose, but is taken out by Reigns with a Spear. They finish Kane with a Triple Powerbomb. Dean grabs the Tag Team Championships, as he and Rollins hold them above Kane.

    Smackdown was great this week, Adam! The Ryback and D. Bryan put on a good match, and Ambrose and Kane had some highlights as well. I’m happy that I got to watch Smackdown Friday night, because I got called in to fill in for a shift at DISH while it was on. Thankfully, my phone has the DISH Anywhere app on it. It streams live or recorded programming from my DVR, so I was able to watch Smackdown while getting some work done.
