Hey everyone! Am I the only sad sap home on a Friday night?

    • Alex Gallardo

      I’m home too, and sick.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Poor baby. Did you get the horrible sinus thing everyone seems to have?

        • Alex Gallardo

Nope. I got a fever and I’ve been staying in bed listening to Miley Cyrus and going on smark cesspools all day. That’s not how I like to spend my Fridays.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Ugh, that’s horrid, for so many reasons.

          • Alex Gallardo

Yeah, I’m going to whatever I can to get over this fast.

    • Adam Wacker

      Make that three.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Of course You’re here Adam, you never get to go out on Friday nights!

        • Adam Wacker

Of course! I’m a pirate married to the sea.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Or at least a true fan married to SD!

          • David Jr.

            Good Evening Kendra.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            David! Yay!

          • David Jr.

            I’m always here for Smackdown.

  • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Crap, Trip just started with Dixie’s speech, but this was taped before Impact…

    • Alex Gallardo

He still did it ten times better than her.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

But Trip’s ‘You don’t know how hard it is to be us, make our decisions. You have no right to criticize us!’

Looks as though Dixie is stealing from spoilers.

        • Alex Gallardo

Yeah, and it’s bad. Hell at least TNA hiring MMA stars was original.

          • David Jr.

Are you serious or making a joke?

          • Alex Gallardo

Them hiring MMA guys was awful, but at least it was original and not taken from WWE.

          • David Jr.

            Ever hear of Brock Lesnar?

          • Alex Gallardo

He’s an exception. Tito and Rampage weren’t huge beasts and they didn’t have someone like Paul Heyman with them.

          • David Jr.

But I think that’s what TNA was looking for, there Brock Lesnar.

          • Alex Gallardo

Well they sure as hell need to try harder. They aren’t CLOSE to Brock Lesner. They’re worst than some of the Vanilla midgets that are getting pushed these days.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

They were, but I have to defend Alex, even through Shamrock, who I remember. The way the MMA guys were brought into Impact was different as they were brought in as MMA guys, not wrestlers. I always saw Shamrock as a wrestler who was also an MMA guy.

Also, it’s been so long, and honestly, everything’s been done, so everything is new after a certain time.

All that being said, they were looking for a new Lesnar, that was almost openly stated by TNA.

          • Xavier

UFC was nowhere near as popular as it its now. So I can how people would feel that way. I felt the same way because I didn’t follow MMA during those days

          • Xavier

Closest thing they had to Lesnar was Lashley and he’s nowhere near the level of Lesnar

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

But then the MMA guys were pulled away. So it was working and Spike screwed them.

          • Xavier

Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn were signed by the WWE in the late 90s

          • Alex Gallardo

Notice that Ken Shamrock and Dan Stevern aren’t really remembered. Besides, they’re exceptions, Rampage and Tito were just awful at promos and god knows how bad they could have been as wrestlers.

          • Xavier

I remembered them lol. Shamrock at one point was one of the top 3 faces in the WWE from 1997 til late 98 before he joined the original corporation

          • Alex Gallardo

Well still, I don’t remember the crowd being very invested in him and if they were than he would have gotten a push.

          • Xavier

They were. Go back and watch Shamrock/Rock from WM14. He was pretty over then.

          • Alex Gallardo

I will and if he was really over than he was a missed opportunity. He could have gone against SCSA if he was over and could be a good ruthless heel.

          • Xavier

After his heel turn he kind of lost steam and slowly snow balled downward.

          • Alex Gallardo

Well a lot of MMA guys don’t have charisma. That’s why someone like Brock Lesner was paired with Paul Heyman.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

But Brock also just wants to come in and wrestle, so it makes sense that he has some mouthpiece, even if it is Heyman.

          • Xavier

Agreed. However there are two guys (Chael Sonnen & Josh Barrett) that are oozing charisma who would make great heels in the WWE.

          • Alex Gallardo

I don’t watch MMA so I haven’t’ heard of them. I’ll check them out though.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            Shamrock had HUGE pushes!

          • Alex Gallardo

He was never WWE champ. All I remember him for is his feud with Val Venis.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

That I don’t remember. I just remember Shamrock from that time, but I don’t recall his feuds.

          • David Jr.

I think Val Venis made a video with Ken Shamrock’s “sister”

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            I do remember Ryan Shamrock.

          • Xavier

            Lol, me too. And Bluedust.

  • David Jr.

Ok, i laughed at the line, “suppose that’s management’s fault”

  • Xavier

Triple H (like Stephanie) is laying into Miz on the mic. Good stuff from the both of them, Miz was good on Monday as well. Let’s see if he can do it again.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

      He’s holding strong.

      • Xavier

Agreed. Miz has done nicely as a pissed off face this past week

    • Alex Gallardo

They’re awesome at getting heat and the crowd invested in him.

  • David Jr.

Anybody wants to see a Triple H vs. the Miz match?

    • Xavier

      Sure, why not

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

      I’d love to see it.

    • Alex Gallardo

I want HHH to face DB at WM more than that.

      • David Jr.

I’m not saying Wrestlemania, you’ve got 4 pay-per-views until the Royal Rumble, and without John Cena, you’re missing a big draw, so why not Tripe H fight at least one.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

But could Trip really go with Bry at this point?

          • David Jr.

Oh I am all for Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania. I’m talking about Triple H vs. the Miz.

          • Xavier

Yeah he could, but I’d still rather see Punk/Bryan

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Only IWC who has sticks up their bums don’t want to see that!

          • Xavier

I’m not saying it has to happen but I wouldn’t mind it. My dream match at Mania is Cena/Taker, it makes too much sense not to happen.

          • Alex Gallardo

I can agree with you on that. Or if Hogan comes back I would love to see him fight Taker.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Did you see that Hogan is interested in facing Cena?

          • Alex Gallardo

No. But that would be an awesome main event, Hogan would have to go over Cena though.

          • David Jr.

            Um no.

          • Alex Gallardo

Why would the cheap knockoff go over the real superman of wrestling?

          • David Jr.

John Cena’s a better wrestler and he’s younger.

          • Alex Gallardo

Who cares. At 60 Hogan is getting the biggest pops on Impact while Cena gets booed out of the building.

          • David Jr.

So the guy who gets the biggest cheers should always go over?
And John Cena gets a loud mixed reaction not booed. I’m a John Cena fan.

          • Alex Gallardo

Crowd reaction matters. Hogan has excelled two companies and is the original superman of wrestling as I’ve said. And I have no problem with you being a Cena fan, I’m a Hogan mark.

          • Xavier

You guys should join this wrestling group I started on FB. I’m trying to expand the members on it, up to 43 people so far.

            https://www.facebook.com/group

          • Alex Gallardo

The link doesn’t work for me.

          • Xavier

            Hold on one sec

          • Xavier

Add me 1st then I’ll add you to the group. Look me up under usc5chargers@yahoo.com. My real name is Andre Holly II

          • Alex Gallardo

            I sent you a request.

          • David Jr.

Well Cena gets the loudest crowd reaction of anybody in wrestling. Positive or Negative, its still the loudest. Hogan may have excelled in WCW, but he is also part of the reason why it isn’t around anymore, too.

          • Alex Gallardo

AOL/Time Warner pulled the plug on WCW , no one else.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

But it was in really bad shape.

          • Alex Gallardo

It was still making high ratings. They lost so much money in 2000 because they lost their main source of money, Ted Turner. If he has stayed in control WCW could still be here today.

          • David Jr.

WCW was losing tons of money, thanks to guys like Hogan’s contract.

          • Alex Gallardo

It was thanks to the lose of the main source of money, Ted Turner.

          • David Jr.

WCW wasted money, that’s why they lost money.

          • Alex Gallardo

They were secure under Ted Turner. Hogan never wasted money he made WCW legit and excelled them.

          • David Jr.

You’rer history of WCW is way different than mine.

          • Alex Gallardo

Hogan’s heel turn was the best thing to happen to WCW. The nWo always drew from 96-99. WCW may have lost some die hard fans because of Hogan’s arrival, but look at all they gained.

          • David Jr.

NWO’s success had a lot to do with Hall and Nash, too. WCW’s rating were already going up before the NWO even came thanks to the Savage vs. Flair feud at the time.

          • Alex Gallardo

Of course the Outsiders were a huge part of it. They were able to get fans invested at first to see which former WWE star would show up next. It really helped Nitro become exciting and surprising, unfortunately something like that would never work today.

          • David Jr.

I do appreciate all the good Hulk Hogan did for the wrestling business, but I also know he’s done some bad things.

          • Xavier

The good outweighs the bad by far.

          • David Jr.

100% agree. Wrestlemania, WWE, and Monday Night Wars all owe there success to the Hulkster.

          • The Breaker

If there was a Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling, Hulk Hogan would no doubt be on it.

          • Alex Gallardo

With SCSA right next to him.

          • David Jr.

Hogan, Flair, Austin and Vince McMahon would be on mine.

          • The Breaker

Hogan and Vince are a lock. I’d have to think about the other two.

          • David Jr.

Sammartino would be a consideration, guys like Rock, Cena, Undertaker and HBK you’d have to consider too.

          • The Breaker

I have Taker, Austin, Rock, Sammartino and Flair in the running. I think the criteria is that you can’t imagine wrestling reaching the heights that it has without them. I guess the argument could be made for Cena as well.

          • David Jr.

If it’s a wrestling Mount Rushmore, than Ric Flair is pretty close to a lock. But if we’re doing a WWE mount rushmore, than flair should be no where near it.

          • The Breaker

Agreed on that. I’m including all of professional wrestling though.

          • Alex Gallardo

I only have two dreams in wresting, that WCW would come back again run by Eric Bishcoff. And that Hogan was young again or another Hogan was able to come and things would be like the good days.

          • Alex Gallardo

Him and Nash held back some Vanilla Midgets, I couldn’t care less. I loved seeing Nash bury Rey Mysterio in WCW.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Don’t forget about my beloved Nash! He had a big hand in the bad creative and the cash draw.

          • David Jr.

I’m not saying it was just Hogan, But if I listed everybody who had a hand in WCW losing tons of money, It take me years.

          • Xavier

Lack of original ideas and a lack of creating new stars contributed greatly as well

          • Alex Gallardo

WCW didn’t really go down till Spring of ’99. After Goldberg and the nWo elite were gone.

          • Xavier

Me & you both. We are endangered species on the internet lol.

          • David Jr.

I don’t think we’re endangered, I just think we’re honest. The cool thing to do in the IWC is to hate on Cena, so everybody does it.

          • Xavier

            Good point.

          • Xavier

You guys should join this wrestling group I started on FB. I’m trying to expand the members on it, up to 43 people so far.

            I would, but I don’t have a fb account.

          • jcmbully

um…my opinion is Cena has been their 11 to 12 years now,I think it’s time for him to start putting people over like he did D.B. that was good for buissness

            jcmbully

          • Xavier

            Disagree

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

He actually is getting the biggest pops on Impact, and some of the best ratings.

Cena, on the other hand, catches heat, but also a lot of love.

          • Alex Gallardo

Cena gets a lot of love from fan girls and little kids. Hogan gets a universal pop from everyone except the smarks, which are a minority.

          • Xavier

I agree, but a 60 year old Hogan beating Cena doesn’t do anybody any good at this point. I think the same of Austin/Punk, Punk should go over should that match ever happen.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I’m all for Punk and Cena going over, the passing of the torch. It’s a huge show of respect from the legends and something that shows that the legends really respect the industry. They should be loved for putting over the younger wrestlers.

          • Xavier

Agreed. It didn’t make sense for Rock to over Cena at WM28. With all that great build up it Cena should of went over, he was even better then Rock on the mic during the build up. Cena/Rock 2 would not have had to happen if Cena would of went over the 1st time.

          • The Breaker

I hope Vince would reject that. Cena should face Taker instead.

          • Alex Gallardo

            I would love seeing both.

          • Xavier

According to Hogan he was suppose to wrestle Cena at WM25.

          • Alex Gallardo

That’s already run it’s course. HHH vs. DB is new and fresh, it would put Bryan over, and it’s fits in with the current main event storyline.

          • Xavier

True. I guess it just all depends on if this angle goes till then.

          • David Jr.

            Wouldn’t mind that either.

        • Alex Gallardo

I would save him until WM.

  • David Jr.

Injuries to John Cena and Sheamus is giving Miz a chance again.

  • The Breaker

Hey, I didn’t think people would be around to chat during Smackdown. Three cheers for having no life on a Friday night!

    • Xavier

      Kendra’s all-time favorite just won, I bet she’s happy :-)

      • The Breaker

If she’s even awake after watching him work the ring.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Honestly, I wasn’t watching. I’m talking to you guys and warping my loom. Though Stacy said ADR was busted open?

          • The Breaker

I think there was some blood coming out of his mouth.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Ah. Stacy made a comment about, “Wasn’t RVD in ECW?” He’s so new to wrestling that it’s adorable!

          • Xavier

            What’s ECW

          • The Breaker

Haha. It’s interesting to hear the perspective of people who didn’t grow up on wrestling.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

But he’s embraced it, and he’s the one who’s always ready to go to shows and discuss both storylines and wrestlers with me. He’s really great.

          • The Breaker

That’s a beautiful thing. And how many men are lucky enough to say that his wife got him into wrestling?

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

        Grrrr!

    • Alex Gallardo

I’m sick, so I have an excuse.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I’m old, have kids, and still have he plague Jesse gave me, so that’s my excuse.

    • David Jr.

You work 50 hours a week with 22 screaming, running, active infants to 5 year olds and tell me you have the energy to go out.

      • Xavier

I’m going out as soon as this goes off

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

          Haven is on after SD!

          • David Jr.

Did you see last week’s episode Kendra?

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            Was it the fire episode?

          • David Jr.

Yes it was. so did you see it?

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            Yes, I did.

          • David Jr.

When those two guys came into the bar, Did you go, hey that’s Kurrgan like I did?

      • The Breaker

Fair enough. I regularly spend nights in by choice.

  • Xavier

The Prime Time Players keep growing on me. When they first started I thought they were cheap knock offs of Cryme Tyme. I think Titus can become a star if he goes solo. Not quite sure about Young but it’s worth a shot.

    • Alex Gallardo

I questioned they’re push considering the timing. But if they’re over they should be pushed.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

The fans are supporting them, so they might as well take advantage of it.

  • The Breaker

It’s about time Zeb started telling everyone to stop saying “We The People” along with them.

  • Xavier

    Cesaro is damn impressive

    • Alex Gallardo

It’s a shame he’s had to job to Santino Marella. But at least unlike some IWC darlings he isn’t complaining to his smark fans about not being pushed, I respect that.

      • Xavier

        10000000000% Agreed

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Yes, he’s playing it smart. I just want to see him in matches worthy of his skills, not stuck with fricken Swags!

        • The Breaker

Well it’s better to have Swags on his team than against him in the ring!

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

True, I don’t want to see Cesaro injured.

        • Xavier

Cesaro should of got the push Axel got with Heyman

          • The Breaker

It’s easy to say that now, but at the time a lot of people were excited by the move.

          • Xavier

I didn’t really know anything about Axel. I wasn’t high up or low on him at the time

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

They’re slowly building his swing by the week. I can’t wait to see who he hits 100 on next.

  • Xavier

I’d love to see The Real Americans and the Prime Time Players feud for a little bit. Their gimmicks are a perfect play off each other for obvious reasons and could go a long way in getting real legit heel heat on the Real Americans while building babyface heat for the PTP

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I worry that TRAs will be stuck facing Los Matadores!

      • The Breaker

        I also see that happening.

      • Xavier

The whole immigrant angle has run it’s course IMHO.

  • The Breaker

The Wyatt Family wouldn’t even let Ryder have his first televised entrance in like a year (maybe more)!

  • The Breaker

Triple H comes out to deliver the Teddy Long Special!

  • David Jr.

Hey Kendra, do you know what the comment record for Smackdown is?

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Be shocked if we haven’t passed it already. Lemme see.

      • David Jr.

        I thought we might have.

    • Xavier

Lol, I just asked this. I guess you beat me to it.

  • Xavier

What’s the record for most comments posted on a Smackdown LIVE chat?

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

      Working on it…

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Okay, last week was the largest SD OTP with 132.

The largest SD was a spoilers at 181.

We’re killing both of those, easily.

        • David Jr.

Wow we’re going to shatter it.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

People are stepping in and talking more and more. Only a couple weeks ago it was you and I in here David.

          • David Jr.

            So we’re the SLP originals.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Actually, that was you, I had to be dragged in as well.

  • Xavier

Well I’m headed out for the night, ya’ll enjoy the rest of the show. Stay blessed and goodnight.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Night Xavier, thanks for joining us!

    • The Breaker

      Take care, Xavier.

    • Alex Gallardo

      Goodnight.

  • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Xavier leaves and all talking stops?

    • Alex Gallardo

I’m still here. And I’m tired of Big Show crying. That’s not how a giant is supposed to act.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Agreed. The blubbering is getting to be too much.

    • The Breaker

The Big Show interview brought on a surge of indifference.

  • Alex Gallardo

I’m still waiting for an explanation as to why AJ and Layla suddenly aren’t friends.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Because she basically used Layla, Aksana and Fox, so they all turned on her.

      • Alex Gallardo

They never caught up on the angle between just them though. It was forgotten after Summerslam.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

AJ is better as a lone vixen. Having muscle is fine, but not friends.

  • The Breaker

I’m having trouble keeping up with the alliances in the Divas division. One week Layla, Alicia Fox, and Aksana are against AJ, and then they’re with her, and now she’s got Tamina.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

They were tagging with her, but AJ was afraid to go to the ring because they might turn on her. Steph ripped AJ a new one, so she went to the ring.

      • The Breaker

I guess it’s just WWE portraying all females as fickle and petty?

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

          Sadly, yes.

  • David Jr.

Tamina or Lei’d Tapa, who will have the better career?
Also we were talking about Cena vs .Hogan earlier. Anyone like to see AJ Lee vs. Trish or Lita?

    • Alex Gallardo

AJ Lee vs. Lita. They could play in AJ’s love for Lita when she was little in it.

      • David Jr.

AJ Lee is alot like Lita in a sense that neither of them were the typical Diva. I read Lita’s autobiography/biography and in it she said she hated the term Diva.

        • Alex Gallardo

Just another reason to make a match with them. Lita is with CM Punk so they could probably set it up.

          • David Jr.

There’s a pic of AJ and Punk going to a Cubs game together, they could throw real life into it.

          • Alex Gallardo

They actually can. This storyline actually sounds really good.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            Therefore will never happen.

          • Alex Gallardo

Way to ruin my fantasy booking.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Sorry, and that;s something about the WWE that kills me. If the fans talk about it and love it online, it won’t happen. It’s sad because of how many things have been trashed because VKM found out it was talked about online somewhere.

          • Alex Gallardo

Well the IWC is a minority so they really shouldn’t be who WWE is targeting.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

But when they talk – good or bad – about a storyline, people get hurt. My thoughts go to Christian.

          • David Jr.

What is the best storyline in WWE history that was about women. Wendi Richter and Cyndi Lauper vs. Leilani Kai and Fabulous Moolah helped sell Wrestlemania 1. But that was 30 years ago. Has there been one better since?

          • Alex Gallardo

Trish Stratus and her heel run in 2004-2005

          • David Jr.

You just made me remember Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James.

          • Alex Gallardo

That was actually Mickie’s best feud IMO. She’s a great crazy heel.

          • David Jr.

I think in most people’s opinion.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            1 Canadian dollar!

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

There is that Punk thing, but I’d think Lita would loath to have any relationship involved in a storyline.

          • The Breaker

No way, I bet she loved having “YOU SCREWED MATT” screamed at her everywhere she went! :P

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Tamina has a stronger family backing, bigger wrestling family, and seems to have more discipline. Tapa seems like a loose cannon, I don’t know why anyone would get in the ring with her.

I’d love to see AJ face either Trish or Lita, it would be a great passing of a torch, and AJ is one of the few who can carry it. She has personality and mic work to go with a solid ring background. Size is her biggest problem.

  • BestInTheWorld

Ryback as a heyman guy is absolutely stupid and i hate it!! I was ready for the feud between heyman and cm punk to be over at NOC. Punk needs to take the title of del rio and put some meaning back into the championship because del rio is killing it

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

ADR has killed it. At this point it holds nothing, no meaning at all.

And Ryback should be busted down to mid-card jobber to remind his ego that he’s not that great.

    • The Breaker

There’s a good chance RVD will take the WHC off Del Rio, and then Sandow can start his chase.

  • Alex Gallardo

Can WWE please stop the silly gimmicks? It’s not the 80s anymore Vince.

    • David Jr.

This would be awesome on Saturday Morning Slam, but it has no place on Smackdown.

      • The Breaker

        Completely agreed.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

The thing is that they have these silly gimmicks, but few solid gimmicks. I’m so sick of everyone having two basic names and less personality. Austin was great in basic black, but we need some creativity, personality, and solid gimmicks.

      • Alex Gallardo

I don’t really like Jim Cornette, but I agree when he says a good gimmick is when you take a wrestler’s real personality and turn it up 10 notches.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Alex, I knew there was a reason I really like you! Gesus and I always fight about Cornett. I loath the man. But yes, that’s usually the best characters.

          • Alex Gallardo

Thank you. I’ve never had anyone in the IWC really like me. I can only think of one other person that likes me and I like him.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Actually, I have a small proposition for you. Get in touch with me through fb, or shoot me an email?

          • Alex Gallardo

Is it okay if I add you on Facebook?

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            Absolutely!

          • Alex Gallardo

            I already sent it.

      • The Breaker

It seems like the only creative gimmicks they have are comedy.

    • Adam Wacker

Come on, you know that was the greatest moment in professional wrestling history.

  • Belshaw

This santino match and stupid cobra, pipe playing was a complete waste of time and the reason why smackdown sucks compared to raw because they do so much stupid stuff like this, dance offs, etc… wake up creative and vince.. WE THE PEOPLE DONT WANT THIS

    • Adam Wacker

In their defense, they weren’t pipes. Now that would be rather impressive!

  • Alex Gallardo

Speaking of silly, outdated gimmicks. I hate Los Matadores.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I will give them a chance, but I’m at the ready to rip the whole thing apart.

    • The Breaker

Wait for Monday until you bash it!

      • Alex Gallardo

I doubt I’ll like it. I was never a big fan of Primo and Epcio and this gimmick makes it worse. But if WWE can surprise me then I’ll be impressed.

        • The Breaker

I’ve always seen the both of them as competent performers. The problem was that they had no gimmick to speak of. My fear is that this one is too much and they won’t be able to make it work.

  • David Jr.

Who wishes that El Matador, TIto Santana comes out with Los Matadores on Monday?

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

That would be sick! I’d give them five minutes longer to crash and burn if he did come out with them.

  • David Jr.

So I guess Goldust always wears the face paint?

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Richard mentioned that VKM is worried that no one will recognize him without the paint.

      • David Jr.

That’s the dumbest thing i heard. I never hear anyone who watches TNA going hey who’s that guy with Samoa Joe and Magnus in the sunglasses.

  • David Jr.

    No Daniel Bryan tonight?

    • The Breaker

Apparently Miz got his spot tonight. He came out to interrupt HHH in the open, and fought the main event.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Before the show started taping they made an announcement to the live fans that Bry wouldn’t be on SD this week. No clue why.

      • David Jr.

Maybe Brian and Brie were out celebrating.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

No clue, but it’s good he got a night off.

  • The Breaker

Got to say, that was pretty lackluster. I don’t really expect much story progression on SD, but the matches were mostly short and forgettable.

    • David Jr.

I thihnk that had a lot to do with no Daniel Bryan.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I think it was more than that. The whole show felt blah, not just because of the lack of bry.

        • David Jr.

I wish Smackdown would go back to the wrestling show. Where they have like 2 to 3 long matches a week.

          • The Breaker

Now it’s just a recap/rehash accessory to RAW. Smackdown should be able to accommodate longer matches but I guess they feel pressured to give matches to all the stories going on right now, which means everyone gets less time.

          • David Jr.

The hey day of Smackdown is when they had the Smackdown 6.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Even though there’s too much time on RAW!

          • David Jr.

            Watching Haven, Kendra?
I had to comment to get the 250th one.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            Yeah, of course I am!

          • David Jr.

I love that Edge’s character has a bigger role.

  • Luke Jobson

seriously getting sick of this 6 man tag crap, HHH restarting matches so only wrestlers can win via pinfall or submission etc. Same old things time and time again. It’s getting boring. Bring back good storylines or hire more people and redo the WWE DRAFT!
