Written by Richard Gray on Oct 13, 2009 - 11:11:51 PM
WWE taped this week's edition of SmackDown tonight from Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ketucky. Below are full taping results:
WWE SmackDown (Airing Friday on MyNetworkTV):
* Jim Ross was not on commentary for this week’s edition of SmackDown. The action appears to have been called by Todd Grisham and Michael Cole.
* The show started with Teddy Long introducing the captain of Team SmackDown Chris Jericho. Jericho came out and cut a promo on John Cena. Jericho said his team will defeat the delinquents of DX. Kane comes out and interrupts Jericho while he's running down DX. Kane says he is the new co-captain of Team SmackDown.
* Dolph Ziggler b. Finlay & Mike Knox in a triple-threat match to earn a spot on Team SmackDown at Bragging Rights
* Cryme Tyme b. The Hart Dynasty to earn a spot on Team SmackDown at Bragging Rights.
* Backstage, Chris Jericho was with Michelle McCool and said there will be three Raw vs. SmackDown matches at Bragging Rights and he can't count on Morrison winning, so he asks McCool if he can count on her. McCool says she can beat anyone at any time. She runs into Mickie James, who says she has a better chance of beating a Raw Diva. McCool ended up running into Beth Phoenix who said she would not be keeping her title for long.
* Backstage, CM Punk tells Vince McMahon the Fatal Four-Way Match at Bragging Rights is unfair. McMahon agreed and said he liked Punk's idea from last week. McMahon said next week Punk will face The Undertaker in a submission match with Scott Armstrong as referee and Teddy Long at ringside.
* Eric Escobar b. Matt Hardy to earn a spot on Team SmackDown at Bragging Rights. Vickie Guerrero introduced Escobar before the match and ended up distracting the referee, allowing Escobar to get the win.
* They taped a Dirt Sheet segment between John Morrison and The Miz to promote their match at Bragging Rights.
* Drew McIntyre b. R-Truth via countout to earn the last spot on Team SmackDown at Bragging Rights.
* Backstage, Rey Mysterio and Batista play nice about how they do not want to face each other tonight because they are like brothers.
* The Undertaker appears on the big screen and cuts a promo.
* Rey Mysterio b. Batista clean after a hurricanrana. They celebrated together after the match
Dark Match Main Event:
* World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker b. CM Punk
