I, too, spent early puberty winchatg Smackdown on UPN (when it was new) and the occasional Raw if I could see it at a friend’s house (via their cable). And Stone Cold Steve Austin was, unabashedly, the shit. I can’t say I’ve watched wrestling much at all since then, but whenever I come across it on some lonely night, there’s never the same feeling that Austin used to give, where you were convinced that even though he knew it was all farce, he would still, outside of the fantasy, have kicked some serious ass.
