You are absolutely correct. Anybody remember The Clique? I'm quite sure that wasn't a creation of Mr. McMahon's. In fact, those guys (especially HHH and HBK) went out of their way to piss off Mr. McMahon. They broke every rule in the book, ending with the break of kayfabe at the end of their final match before Shawn retired (the first time) and Diesel and Razor went to WCW.

None of them you mentioned above are ass kissers. That’s the funny thing about it. What people don’t understand is that in an entertainment business, you have to be entertaining. Be a well around worker. You’re not a wrestler in this business. You’re a worker. You work the crowd. And it’s what Cena, Hogan, HHH, and especially HBK does best. They’ve earned their spot. Not because they kissed McMahon’s ass (which they didn’t), but because they worked their asses off day in and day out to clinch that main event spot. That’s exactly what wrestling fans don’t get nowadays. If you want pure wrestling and not pure entertainment, then WWE is not for you. ROH or DGUSA would be more fitted for you.
