WWE Tries To Cover For Mistake, Stand Up For WWE Campaign Responds To Claim Their Product Is “Barely Above Porn”, Smackdown Live Event Tonight

- WWE.com has a new exclusive video interview with John Laurinaitis where they try and cover for the big mistake that was made on this week’s Raw Supershow. You can watch it at this link. (Thanks to WNW reader Robert Rice for sending this in.)

- Joshua Fisher of the Darien Times wrote an editorial last week discussing Linda McMahon’s bid for United States Senate where he said WWE was a product that is “barely above pornography.” WWE responded with a letter on here on dot com where they tout the company’s PG initiative.

- There will be a Smackdown live event tonight from the Mid Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. Mick Foley is officially advertised for the show. If you attend, please submit a live report.

They just made it worse… I thought Big Johnny was rushed to the hospital?

    • XKonn247

That was after Over the Limit. He was on RAW. Pay attention.

      • Scptt

I am paying attention. He signed Big Show Sunday immediately after the PPV according to how they tried to play the mistake down… What did I miss?

  • Alex P

"Barely above pornography"? Has Josh watched the product in the past 5-6 years? Or is he stuck in the Attitude Era?

    • XKonn247

I love how people bash Linda because she USED to work for WWE. Damn, my nations politics may be screwed but American elections are laughable at times.

Why do you have to call wwe website dot com

  • gpturbo81

    politicians = joke/ crooks/douschebags

  • WyFo

Barely above pornography?! Are you f***ing kidding me?! HAHAHAHAHA!!! That guy obviously has no clue what porn is. Hahahahaha! It’s funny how retarded some people make themselves look.

I love how they said Big Show was signed saturday and then later in the show said he wasnt signed till early monday morning. Another mistake was anyone who hit john laurinitis was fired and sheamus ran right into big johnny after he said that and nothing happened to sheamus. they should get their storylines right before on live tv.

    • Kevin

Yeah, but we're talking about John Laurinitis. He can't do anything right. He's as bad as his brother was good. I wish they'd just get rid of him completely. He's a loser who isn't worth wasting the money on.

If he thinks WWE is porn he should watch TNA……

  • _JIM_

After Mr. Fisher’s comment that “WWE is barely above porn” I’ve come to the conclusion that he has never seen either. Because if he has he couldn’t make a statement like that while being honest. Though honesty isn’t exactly an initiative of most politicians or the so called “reporters” that cover them. That was such a ridiculous comment that was designed to do nithing but to try to hurt Linda Mcmahon’s run for office. What ever happened to having some actual facts before you report something? I guess the truth gets in the way of Mr. Fisher’s agenda…

They need to turn this into an angle – where the board use all of this as evidence that Johnny can't get his story straight so they investigate when Big Show was really rehired and they overturn the decision and remove Johnny from managing RAW and Smackdown – everybody wins!

    • MVP

Totally agree with this. Storyline HHH hates Johnny being in charge anyway, so he launches an investigation, Johnny spends time trying to cover it up, etc. etc. The storyline practically writes itself. WWE should be running with this.

  • Kevin

You guys (Phil and MVP) should be writers in the WWE. That's an excellent idea. A great way to cover Johnny's flub and get rid of him at the same time. Johnny needs to go; he's a huge waste of money.
