WWE & Lionsgate Teaming Up For Two New Films; Upcoming WWE Studios Film Starring Brodus Clay

Variety is reporting that WWE and Lionsgate are teaming up for two new films. The first is a reboot of “Leprechaun,” the 1993 horror pic that was one of the first starring roles for Jennifer Aniston. While there is currently no writer, director or cast attached to the project, it is set for a 2013 release. Details on the second film have not yet been determined.

Variety also reported on other upcoming projects by WWE Studios including “No One Lives,” starring Luke Evans and Brodus Clay, “Barricade,” starring Eric McCormack and “The Day.”

WWE teamed with Lionsgate before for “See No Evil” starring Kane and “The Condemned” starring Steve Austin.

    This is exactly what WWE Studio needs, team up with Lions Gate to produce kick ass movies! I was getting really annoyed with the kiddie movies, "Thats Who I am" worst movie ever! I cant believe I set through that! And dont get me started on the Chaperone! Let Disney do the kiddie movies, thats why its freakin Disney!

      Right!! Outside of these two films where they joined with lions gate wwe hasn't really put out any good/quality movies.

    I kinda think WWE movies, in general, have sucked for the most part with a few exceptions. Why couldn't WWE team up with Universal for a movie like Fast Five? That's instant success! Vince is a smart man, he should see this.

    Well I think all WWE movies are great If you think its a kiddy movie don t buy or rent it I buy every movie they make and watch them then share with my kids & grands, I say Good Job Vince…..Now get Taddy long back,Make a movie with the Undertaker Shawn Micheals,maybe even some of the older wrestlers use Edge too Barb
