WWE Wants Lebron James At Wrestlemania XXVIII

Richard Gray November 17, 2011 WWE News No Comments

There was a rumor coming out of this week’s TVs with the likely cancellation of the 2011-2012 NBA season that WWE is interested in securing Miami Heat forward LeBron James for an appearance at Wrestlemania XXVIII next year in Miami.

The company has pitched ideas involving James for years but the two sides have had a difficult time working anything out because of the limited window due to the NBA season. With it looking more and more like there won’t be an NBA season this year, WWE officials are hoping to get LeBron to agree to an appearance in Miami.

WWE, or pro wrestling in general, is no stranger from using professional athletes – especially professional basketball players. Shaquille O’Neal, Dennis Rodman and Karl Malone have all three made mainstream wrestling appearances in the past.
