March 26th 2001 is still one of the saddest days in my life. I loved WCW! It was my brand, and even though it was basically a shell of itself towards the end, I hoped beyond hope that Bischoff could’ve gotten the funds together to buy it and keep it afloat. It was also a sad day for all wrestling fans IMO. Because it was the day that Vince bought all of his competition and no longer had any reason to push the WWE creatively in order to stay the number 1 wrestling company in the world. It enabled the WWE to get lazy, and that’s exactly what they did for the longest time. Just recently have things begun to turn around, and I think that has more to do with the fact that Hunter has been the guy steering the course of the company.
