Xplosion Match Taped, Bound For Glory Attendance Under 3000, TNA Knockout Women’s Championship Match Announced

- Mr. Anderson vs. Robbie E was taped for TNA Xplosion at this week’s Impact taping.

- While I haven’t heard the official number, word going around is that less than 3,000 fans attended TNA Bound for Glory from the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix last weekend.

- Tara is scheduled to defend the TNA Knockout Women’s Championship against Brooke Tessmacher on next week’s “Championship Thursday” episode of Impact Wrestling.

    According to Wikipedia (take it for what it's worth), the GCU Arena has a 5,000 seat capacity. So, we can consider BFG attendance has been less than stellar.

    Even if 3,000 fans showed up that’s still a lot more than they would’ve been able to have if they would’ve had it at the Impact Zone. Honestly I’m surprised they had that many attend. At least these were all paying fans. Unlike when WCW would hold PPV’s and not charge anything for attendace. Hog Wild for example.

      This is really a myth. WCW had a single annual PPV that had free attendance and outdoors to keep things fresh and different. I know one of the favorite historical revisionists is that WCW just papered every event but it isn't true. At it's peak, the WWF couldn't hold a candle to the 'Boys down South.

    I didn’t get to see bound for glory, but should we consider the size of the entrance and other basic setup while thinking of the capacity for this event? They could have killed the space for 500-1000 seats with production stuff… That being said, still pretty low but I don’t consider that terrible for a company that seems to be losing ground. I wouldn’t consider Arizona a hotbed for wrestling so maybe the fan base is generally smaller as well. Heard it was a good ppv though, too bad it didn’t bring in more

    The crowd at BFG didnt look that bad on tv. It looked just as big as your average Raw crowd.
