Zack Ryder Kills Old Gimmick In New "Last ReZort" Episode

Zack Ryder "kills" his old gimmick in the latest episode of "Zack Ryder's Last ReZort." Before a scene that features Ryder in his old gimmick lying in a coffin, he comes into a room where the "old Ryder" is filming "Z! True Long Island Story" and tells him to stop being so "damn goofy."

    As much as I like Zach Ryder and the direction he’s taking his character, I don’t think he will be able to make anything of this. at least he’s trying I guess.

    If Ryder wants to succeed he needs to do three things. Leave the WWE, spend a couple years honing his craft and he needs to completely revamp his gimmick. No amount of youtube videos will fix that. He built himself up as a goofball, it’s his own fault that he’s perceived as such and it will take more than wishes and youtube to fix that.

    While I like his new direction but once he destroyed the WWE US championship in the last episode (even if it was a replica) I’m surprised he wasn’t fired. It obvious he, curt Hawkins, Evan Bourne, Justin Gabriel, JTG are under the no fire rule. I mean Hawkins opened a wrestling school for a reason.

    I honestly like the fact Ryder is changing things up. The old one was entertaining but this “darker and more serious” side I actually like. I hope this helps elevate him back to the top. Kudos to him for trying to hang in there
