When CM Punk debuts in UFC will he be able to use his WWE "Cult of Personality" theme?

CM Punk was asked if he’ll walk out to “Cult of Personality” in UFC and he said he hasn’t decided yet but he might. WWE doesn’t own the rights to the song and actually had to pay to use it, which was part of CM Punk’s deal to re-sign [with WWE] a few years ago. I personally think that Punk should walk out to “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour because the music has become synonymous with his services.

I’m a long-time reader of Wrestling News World but I’m genuinely upset with your content. It’s 90% WWE, 8% TNA, 1% Hollywood and the remaining 1 percent being wrestling mentions in mainstream media. Do you work for Vince McMahon?

Haha, no I do not work for Vince McMahon. We write about what is interesting and I’ve never been big on covering independent wrestling. The reason is, it’s hard to sort out the good independent promoters from the bad, the people that are going to deliver and the people that are just looking to make a quick buck. There are only so many hours in the day and I’ve found our readers would rather see in-depth pieces on what is going on in the mainstream, rather than bits and pieces from around the world.

That’s not to say there is not a completely other world outside of the mainstream. AJ Styles proved that wrestlers can still make a living outside out of the mainstream in the United States and we still mention him from time to time. Our coverage of TNA Wrestling has dwindled because they haven’t ran a show in two months and have lost their spot as the No. 2 promotion.

Heading into 2015, we’ll be picking back up on our coverage of UFC as we cover CM Punk’s transition to the octagon (including live play by play of his fights). We covered all of Brock Lesnar’s fights and will do the same for CM Punk. Punk is a hot commodity right now and we’re heavily invested in bringing you the latest details of his controversial move.

Do you see Randy Orton returning at WWE TLC and costing Seth Rollins his match against John Cena on Sunday?

I could see three different scenarios, all involving someone preventing Seth Rollins from beating John Cena at WWE TLC. Randy Orton is due back soon and could come out and cost Rollins the win, Roman Reigns is due back soon and could cost him the win or Brock Lesnar could make a surprise return and take out both Rollins and Cena.

The problem is WWE has featured dirty finishes to the main events of Night of Champions, Hell in a Cell and Survivor Series. If they go dirty in Cena vs. Rollins, it’ll be 4-for-4. It’s nothing I can confirm but I will put all those out there for people to consider.

Is Bray Wyatt OK following the chair to the head he took on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw?

As we reported in our Backstage Raw News here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com, there was legitimate concern that Bray Wyatt suffered a concussion when he was hit in the head by one of the chairs Dean Ambrose threw into the ring. Wyatt was put through concussion testing and was cleared as he worked Tuesday in Columbus, GA. In fact, I heard Wyatt was as good as advertised. So while there were some tense moments, it appears all is well and Wyatt is right on schedule to work on Sunday.

From the Ask WNW vault…

February 2013: Linda McMahon ran for the U.S. Senate as a Republican. Does it seem unusual that Vince McMahon is having Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter be stereotypical characters that basically follow the same political platform that his wife used? - We detailed the origins of the Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter team here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com Premium. Basically Vince was upset at the mainstream media attention that Lucha Libre USA’s RJ Brewer received and told Triple H to help WWE create something similar. Dutch Mantel was brought in and created as a play at conservative commentator Ann Coulter. I am absolutely flabbergasted that media organizations like FOX News are covering this as controversy. It’s a fictitious scripted wrestling angle. Vince isn’t trying to influence US politics (they already tried and failed); he’s trying to get attention on a repackaged Jack Swagger. Vince has accomplished the goal of getting the mainstream media to pay attention but it may not be the kind of attention they were looking for as they already issued a statement in attempt to quell critics.
