Do you see a possibility Kharma returns to WWE? I believe I heard a while back they picked up the trademark for Kharma, and now with Nikki as the champ, it seems the perfect opportunity for her to get her revenge on the Bellas like she promised. Thoughts?

CJ Blaze interviewed Kharma back in October and asked her this very question. Rather than me recapping her answer, here’s an excerpt from that interview:

Many fans have asked if you knew what the storyline plans were before you left WWE and if you will ever come back to get revenge on The Bella Twins?

No, I didn’t know what the storyline plans were, but I believe I will come back. I believe there is a great chance that I will be back. The doors are open for when for when I’m fully recovered physically. I shall return.

As for my thoughts, Kharma is a phenomenal worker and one of my favorite female competitors. I talk about her bouts with Gail Kim in TNA all the time but that’s because it’s one of the rare times in wrestling history when I can remember caring more about a program comprised of female workers than anything else TNA or WWE was doing. It was one of the best feuds in female wrestling history and it’s a shame with the level of female talent in WWE that we haven’t seen anything like that since.

Who do you think are realistic opponents for Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 31?

When Randy Orton returns, he’s got a program with Seth Rollins waiting on him. Does this mean they push him as an all-out babyface? I don’t think it will work if they do and based on comments made by Orton, I can’t imagine him wanting that either. Another possibility is something with Roman Reigns, which is what they wanted to do after Night of Champions before Reigns had to be written off due to an incarcerated hernia. Where that leaves Orton for Wrestlemania is anyone’s guess. There are so many other programs that have to be sorted, it currently looks like Orton will get what is left over.

I remember Dana White saying CM Punk would be fighting as a Welterweight (170 lbs if I'm not mistaken). In WWE, his billed weight was 220. In order to be more ”realistic" (as much as pro wrestling can be), don't you think WWE should bill its Superstars with their real weight?

While WWE has been known the embellish on the billed height and weight of their performers, CM Punk is closer to 220 than 170 right now. One thing people don’t realize is how tall CM Punk is. He’ll have to lose weight to fight at Welterweight but it seems he’ll either fight there or middleweight. For more on UFC weight classes, click here.

Do you think it would be a good idea to have the NXT roster part of Wrestlemania 31, similar to ECW at Wrestlemania 23?

We’ve had similar versions of this question, with readers wanting to know about an NXT spotlight match on TV each week. It’s something that sounds good and could work but it’s no guarantee either. People must remember one of the reasons the NXT shows come off so good is because the venue is intimate and it’s full of fans knowledgable of the gimmicks. Crowds in open air stadiums aren’t as hot because the noise can’t be contained and the average WWE crowd isn’t as familiar with the NXT gimmicks.

It’s one of the situations where I don’t think the reward outweighs the risk. Risking a hot up and coming talent for a forgettable per shot doesn’t seem like the best thing to do. The way things are currently setup, the NXT shows are sporadic and that gives them a “special” feel. We talk a lot about WWE failing to utilize moderation, overexposing the NXT names in forgettable “feature” matches would be exactly that.

WWE does feature NXT talent at Wrestlemania Axxess, which makes them a part of the weekend. I believe that’s the best course of action moving forward.

From the Ask WNW vault…

September 2007: Do you see any wrestlers that the WWE has in OVW or FCW being called up anytime soon that could really bring good angles into the main roster? Also do you see any of those wrestlers in OVW or FCW wasting away down there when they could do better on the main roster or deserve to be called up? I will give you some of the top superstars in each promotion that I feel have a great chance of making an impact one day in WWE. From Florida Championship Wrestling: Harry Smith, Teddy Hart, Nattie Neidhart, and T.J. Wilson. From Ohio Valley Wrestling: Mike Kruel, Colt Cabana, Ace Steel, and the newly signed Matt Sydal. Whether or not any there are plans for any of those names to get called up anytime soon I don’t know, however, those are some of my favorites.

December 19, 2014 Update: Harry Smith (as DH Smith), Nattie (Natalya), TJ (Tyson Kidd), Colt Cabana (Scotty Goldman) and Matt Sydal (Evan Bourne) ended up making it to the main roster. Currently, Natalya and Tyson Kidd are the only two that remain under WWE contract as of this writing.

I’ll be taking next week off in observation of the Christmas holiday. I hope everyone has a great and safe holiday! The next installment of Ask WNW is scheduled to run on Monday, December 29, 2014.
