Did UFC give Brock Lesnar an advantage in the weeks/months leading up to his UFC 200 fight against Mark Hunt?
Fox Sports has an article online today that highlights some of Mark Hunt’s frustrations with his upcoming fight against Brock Lesnar. It’s true Lesnar was granted an exemption from early drug testing because of when he signed his UFC contract. It’s unknown how far in advance Brock knew of the fight against Mark Hunt. Given that, you can make your own conclusion as to whether or not Lesnar was given an advantage. UFC’s main goal is to generate pay-per-view buys and Lesnar being on the show means I’m buying, so that should be considered a success.
What is the dynamic like within WWE now that Shane McMahon has returned?
I definitely think Shane McMahon being back with WWE changes the dynamic at the top. While he was simply brought back as an on-air character originally for Wrestlemania 32, I’ve been told of a few examples where he has been consulted about creative decisions. The overwhelming assumption was that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were primed to takeover for Vince but now I wouldn’t be as sure. The last I heard, there was a lot of angling behind the scenes for who gets the on-air “control” of Raw. While Smackdown is going live, Raw will always be No. 1 in Vince McMahon’s eyes.
What is the tape that Cesaro wears on his shoulder or John Cena has on his arm?
It’s funny you asked as WWE just released a video about Cesaro, John Cena and Finn Balor wearing kinesiology tape. The tape is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restructuring the body’s range of motion. Several athletes use it. I would almost compare it to a golfer wearing a copper bracelet. I do not know what the research says but that’s the reason they wear it. Check out that link to watch the video WWE put out for more.
Does Kane really sell insurance? I ask this after the backstage segment on Raw where The Miz told Kane he looked like the devil’s favorite insurance agent.
I got so many Tweets about this when The Miz made the comment about Kane looking like the devil’s favorite insurance agent. We’ve covered this before but yes, Kane and his wife, Crystal, have an Allstate Insurance agency in Knoxville, TN. Kane readily promotes the fact he appears on WWE television when promoting the business and in my opinion, it’s a smart decision. Obviously Kane can’t wrestle forever and the insurance business is a great niche to pursue. He’s also pondered a career in politics when he hangs up the boots. I don't know about you but insurance is something I loathe. It's expensive and boring but Kane as an agent would make it a lot more entertaining.
