Brock Lesnar Hits Major Milestone

WWE’s Universal Champion Brock Lesnar has hit a major milestone today. In his reign as champion, today marks the 435th day of him holding the championship. This makes Lesnar the longest reigning champion of the modern era.

The record before Lesnar succeeded it was held by none other than CM Punk, who had a reign with the WWE Championship for 434 days, going from 2011- 2013.

It’s also worth mentioning that Punk had 141 title defenses, while Lesnar has only had 10.

Ryan’s Take: This is a sad day. With over 430 days as champion, Brock has only defended the title 10 times? It goes to show how WWE cares about their top championships and the pettiness they have for CM Punk.

You can say that again, T. If there’s one professional wrestling superstar that truly does NOT deserves to be W.W.E. Universal Champion (or a champion from any organization around the world, for that matter), it’s the “Beast Incarnate,” no ifs, ands, or F-5’s about it. Give me A. J. Styles, Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, Chris Jericho, Bobby Lashley, Braun Strowman, or even “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey anytime!
