From Universal Studios in Orlando, FL
Report by CJ Blaze of

The show opens with a great video package looking at TNA's past.

Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards brawl into the crowd after the opening video. Security eventually splits them up.

Josh Mathews & Da Pope talk from commentary. Jeremy Borash comes out to announce he's joining commentary. It should be noted that Rockstar Spud is handling the ring announcing duties tonight.

The commentators are interrupted by Cody & Brandi Rhodes. Cody has the GFW NEX*GEN Title and calls out Moose. Moose is apparently in Japan, so DCC comes out for tag action.

1) Reno Scum def. Kingston & Bram in just over 2 minutes. After the match, James Storm argues with his DCC brothers before they all hug and leave the ring.

Backstage, Sienna tells McKenzie Mitchell that Maria Kanellis had a nervous breakdown following the disastrous wedding a few weeks ago. Sienna grabs the mic and cuts a promo on Allie.

2) Braxton Sutter def. Marshe Rockett, Caleb Konley & DJ Z in a 4:23. The match featured lots of great X-Division action. At one point, Allie did a crossbody on Rockett. Sutter then pinned Marshe for the win.

Afterwards, a drunk Laurel Van Ness comes to the stage and points at the happy couple in the ring.

3) Sienna def. Rachael Ellering via the Silencer in 4:15. Decent match here, but was unfortunately overshadowed by Josh & JB bickering on commentary.

Bruce Prichard comes down to the ring and cuts a promo on Impact once being great. Bruce says TNA is dead. New owners and management brings a new name, new players, and new coaches. Prichard eventually introduces World Heavyweight Champion Lashley. Prichard says there's no one backstage that could beat Lashley... out walks Alberto El Patron.

Alberto and Lashley start to get into it when EC3 comes out. EC3 says Alberto can't just walk in and get a title match; he has to earn it. Ethan brags about himself being the top guy for the last three years, and he challenges Lashley tonight. Prichard books Lashley vs. El Patron for later tonight. EC3 is stunned.

Backstage, Angelina Love interrupts an interview to slap Eddie Edwards. Eddie questions why she hits harder than Davey.

Cody Rhodes is back out looking for Moose. He tosses his NEX*GEN Title in the ring as security tries to control him.

Dutch Mantell rolls out to the ramp and cuts a promo on professional wrestling. Dutch mentions AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, Sting, Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, Christian, Booker T. They left because of a lack of leadership, vision, and respect. Dutch goes on to say that the fans also left. So how are they going to make Impact great again? Bring the fans back. Dutch says the fans are the true boss. They're going to give this company back to us. Dutch asks every real fan to stand up, place their hand over their heart, and say "We the people will make Impact great again!"

We see footage of The Hardy's fighting Smoking Jack (the kangaroo). The Hardy's, with the Tag Team Titles, hold on to VanGuard 1. Some transportation happens, and we see Decay show up at the Impact Zone and find the Tag Titles laying on the floor in front of them. The Hardy's have now been deleted.

Jeremy Borash is in the ring to announce that 15th Anniversary of Slammiversary will take place on July 2nd, 2017, live on pay-per-view.

4) World Heavyweight Championship Match: Alberto El Patron def. Lashley (c) in nearly 15 minutes

About seven minutes into the match, EC3 walks out to the stage to watch. After the commercial breaker, Lashley inadvertently clotheslines Brian Hebner. El Patron applies the cross arm breaker as Brian Stiffler comes out. Stiffler ends up getting taken out as well. The title comes into the ring, allowing Alberto to nail Lashley and cover him for the win.

Alberto celebrates as Prichard talks to the refs and Lashley about the controversy. EC3 claps for Patron as the new champ walks up the ramp.

After the show, Prichard and El Patron argue backstage about the finish. Prichard tries to plead with him that the wrong official was in the ring. You can watch below:
