Global Force Wrestling has still not found a TV home to broadcast their product in the United States. They thought they were close to getting on the Fight Network in Canada but they’ve been boxed out by TNA Wrestlingannouncing a deal on that network.
The Fight Network had been interested in TNA since TNA lost Canadian TV by leaving Spike TV but TNA had been holding out in hopes of getting more money. TNA finally caved as they did not want to open the door for GFW to enter the market.
As previously reported, GFW does have TV tapings coming up, but in addition to struggling to find TV, they may also be losing the PPV connection with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The PPV industry was very pleased with the number of buys for Wrestle Kingdom 9 and has been pushing for another show as soon as possible, but GFW has short term exclusivity and fears that New Japan is dragging their feet until it runs out so they can cut GFW out entirely or negotiate better terms.
We've already seen New Japan go get the AXS deal behind GFW's back and Jeff Jarrett is reportedly nervous that he put up substantial money to help make Wrestle Kingdom a success, only to potentially get cut out of future events.
