While Dixie Carter has yet to publicly acknowledge a report by Dave Meltzer that Destination America has marked Impact Wrestling for cancelation, TNA executive Bob Ryder has at least made reference to it.

Shortly after the report began to circulate on Wednesday night, Ryder Tweeted the following:

This is messy.

I can’t confirm Meltzer’s report so I’m unable to pick sides. We can provide context in that TMZ.comreported in July 2014 that Spike TV had canceled Impact. At the time, Dixie Carter, Bob Ryder and many other TNA names came out and said the report wasn’t true.

While the show wasn’t technically canceled, everything stated in the initial report came true. Spike agreed to carry Impact long enough for them to find a new TV home but that’s something TMZ astutely pointed out in their initial report.
