TNA Impact Fades Away To Conclude Disappointing Year

Impact & Destination America

TNA Impact Wrestling finished up on Destination America Wednesday night, garnering 155,000 viewers in its single 11 PM airing. That's down (-114,000 viewers) from the week prior and will conclude our coverage of Impact.

This time last year we were all gearing up for TNA's reset on Destination America, hoping for a better day. Not only did we not get it, the promotion has officially faded from the mainstream spotlight. Once seen as the number two promotion in the United States, TNA is essentially just another independent promotion that airs one night a week on cable television. It got to the point where interest wasn't enough for us to warrant a weekly "Open Thread" and now we offer minimal TNA coverage.

It's incredibly disappointing when considering the talent that has worked there, the money they've had to spend and the clearance they once had on Spike TV. It's extremely difficult to run a professional wrestling promotion, especially in today's world, and this just proves that.
