*LIVE COVERAGE*

The show begins and NXT Champion, Adam Cole is on his way out to the ring being flanked by Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish.

Cole says it's no knock on Velveteen Dream that he wasn't able to beat Cole, last Sunday at NXT TakeOver: In Your House, but it just shows that while he's great, he's no Adam Cole.

Cole goes on to say that the Undisputed Era will now turn it's attention to Dexter Lumis. Cole calls Lumis' actions this past Sunday, despicable and says he will pay for it, when they go one-on-one, later tonight.

In a funny moment, Roderick Strong hallucinates and keeps thinking he sees Lumis standing behind the glass at ringside (which he does), but every time Cole and Fish look back, Lumis is nowhere to be found. Cole says he will defeat Lumis, tonight and send him back to the drawing board, where he belongs...and that is undisputed and the 3 head to the back and we go to a commercial break.

Back from the break, NXT North American Champion, Keith Lee and Mia Yim bump into The Undisputed Era, backstage and Keith Lee stares Cole down and says he thinks he knows what's next for himself...Cole says "in your dreams, big man" and Lee and Yim head out to the ring for their match as the UE walk away.

We then see a highlight package of Finn Balor defeating Damian Priest, last Sunday at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. Backstage, we see Cameron Grimes, who's still bragging about beating Finn Balor a few weeks ago and he takes some shots at Damian Priest, who lost to Balor, last Sunday. Priest walks in and lays out Grimes as the segment ends and we head to a break.

Back from the break, we see highlights of Io Shirai defeating Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley, to capture the NXT Women's Championship, in last Sunday's main event.

Before the next match begins, the commentary team announces that Cameron Grimes will NOT face Finn Balor, tonight, due to the attack by Damian Priest. No word on if Balor will still be in action, later tonight.

After the match, we see a referee, Drake Wuertz talking to NXT General Manager, William Regal via FaceTime and the referee was told by Grimes, that he believes he has a broken jaw and won't be able to compete, tonight. Regal tells Drake to go look for Grimes and to bring the iPad, that way he can speak with him as we head to a break.

Back from the break, Drake finds Grimes and hands the iPad to him and Regal says that Grimes is full of it and he better go warm-up and get ready because he's facing Finn Balor, tonight. Grimes yells at everyone to leave him alone as the segment ends.

We then see a pre-taped promo by Breezango talking about how important it is to them that they are # 1 contender's for the NXT Tag-Team Championships.

After the promo, it's announced that Breezango's title match will come, next week against NXT Tag-Team Champions, Imperium.

Rhea Ripley is being interviewed backstage on the heels of her most recent bid at the NXT Women's Championship came up short, last Sunday and Robert Stone interrupts the interview and asks Rhea to join the Robert Stone Brand...which she declines and then lays him out as we head to a commercial.

We then see Timothy Thatcher, who says that he will introduce us to his way of training, next week.

NXT Cruiserweight Champion, El Hijo del Fantasma makes his way to the ring and before he can say anything, Drake Maverick comes down and thanks him for their match, last week. Then the masked men who have been taking out Crusiwerweight's for the past few weeks come out to the ring and Fantasma joins them in attacking Maverick. The masked men take their masks off and it turns out that they are Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde and then Fantasma takes his mask off and says his name is Santos Escobar as the 3 celebrate over a motionless Maverick.

It's announced by the commentary team, that next week, the winner's of the Women's Tag-Team Championship match, this Sunday at Backlash, between Sasha Banks/Bayley vs Alexa Bliss/Nikki Cross vs The IIconics will defend the titles against Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox.
