Dan Henderson Thinks Khabib Nurmagomedov Would Beat The Piss Out Of McGregor

Dan Henderson

Undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov has made it clear that he wants a title shot or he won’t be fighting for the UFC. The Twitter comments came after his win against Michael Johnson by submission at UFC 205 earlier this month, which saw Conor McGregor win the UFC Lightweight Championship later in the night.

Future UFC Hall of Famer Dan Henderson believes McGregor would be no match for Nurmagomedov.

“I think that kid that fought last weekend, I have trouble with his name, Magomedov, the Russian kid, that's at 155 -- I think he would definitely give Conor a huge problem," Henderson said Friday on The Adam Carolla Show, referring to undefeated lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov.

"I think he definitely would take him down and beat the piss out of him."

Hendo admitted that he is starting to come around on McGregor’s abilities and that he doesn’t dislike him. However, Henderson believes that Eddie Alvarez didn’t fight smart against The Notorious One at UFC 205.

Henderson plans to stay retired following his loss to Michael Bisping at UFC 204 but he will compete against Jon Jones in a grappling match at Submission Underground II on Dec. 11 in Portland, Oregon. That event will be streamed live internationally on FloGrappling.com.
