Anthony Pettis plans to move back to 155 pounds and fight in the UFC lightweight division following his loss to Max Holloway at UFC 206 on Saturday night.
Pettis broke his right hand on his first punch of the fight, something he revealed during his post-fight octagon interview with Joe Rogan. Pettis, who missed weight for the bout by three pounds, had hoped to become the fourth fighter to hold both the lightweight and featherweight titles.
Pettis literally had to be pulled out of a sauna because his body couldn’t handle the weight cut. He’d also experienced light headedness and nausea. His loss on Saturday takes his professional record to 16-9.
