Manvel Gamburyan announced his retirement from mixed martial arts after losing to Johnny Eduardo by TKO (punches) at 0:46 of round two at UFC Fight Night 100 on Saturday night.

“This might surprise a lot of people, even my family and friends," Gamburyan said. "It's been tough, this has been a long road, this is my first time being in Brazil. I had a great time, but, I think this is it for me, guys. I'm going to call it a career, probably.”

Gamburyan finishes with a record of 15-10-1. He made his MMA debut at Kage Kombat 12 on February 1, 1999, defeating Danny Henderson. He fought Timothy Morris in the same night, defeating him by technical submission.
