Mickey Gall Thinks It's 'Ballsy' CM Punk Wants To Fight Again, Thinks He Should Fight Outside UFC
Mickey Gall is set to followup on his UFC fight against CM Punk with a bout against Sage Northcutt at UFC on FOX 22 from Sacramento, CA on Saturday.
Gall (3-0) spoke to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour to promote his upcoming fight when he was asked about CM Punk wanting to fight again. Here’s what he said:
"I think he'll be dealt (with) the same way I dealt him," Gall said Monday on The MMA Hour. "If he fights a UFC caliber guy, I think they'll do it in the same way. So I think in hindsight, he probably should've taken some regional fights, amateur fighters, smaller shows. But I think that's ballsy of him to want to come back.”
Gall ran right through CM Punk, submitting him in a rear-naked choke at 2:14 of the first round of their fight at UFC 203 back in September. It was Punk’s UFC debut, a fight he had after training for two years.
