In an interview on Sam Roberts' podcast, the villain Marty Scurll talked about who he would like to face in a wrestling match if he had the chance. Notably, he mentioned CM Punk and pleaded with the straight-edge superstar to come out of retirement so they could have a match together.

“CM Punk, I’d like to bring CM Punk out of retirement and wrestle him for sure. I don’t know if CM Punk listens to this show, but if he [does]… but CM Punk, if you’re watching, come out of retirement. We can cause quite a bother of a wrestling match. What do you say? And that’d be fun, right? Yeah, that’s one for the headlines!”

Punk has been retired since 2014 and has shown no signs of returning since his tumultuous exit from the WWE. He was even offered a million dollars to return and that still didn't goad him out of retirement. It will be interesting to see if Punk responds to this at all.
