Spike TV President Kevin Kay briefly spoke on preliminary talks with Ring of Honor in a new interview with BostonHerald.com.
Below is an excerpt:
“I’m not sure there is a deal there,” he said. “We’re just kind of getting to know each other. . . . I think for Spike, the big question is, do we want to get into the professional wrestling business in any way? And I don’t have the answer to that yet.

We broke the story — that Spike had preliminary talks with Ring of Honor — here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com Premium on February 17, 2015.
We reported at the time while ROH was intrigued by the idea, Spike would have wanted upgrades on the production front and some more mainstream names on their roster. Spike was not willing to cover the cost of said upgrades and that appeared to be a major sticking point for the promotion.
Some had speculated that "preliminary talks" meant Ring of Honor was "in negotiations" to bring a weekly ROH series to the network. We never reported that, a point I reiterated here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com on February 22, 2015.
