Possible Universal Title Plans Following Wrestlemania?

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title will indeed occur at Wrestlemania and doesn't feel like it will go long much like their other match. However, Meltzer still reports that he believes the match will be under ten minutes but that it will not be a two-minute squash.

The expectation following this (in which Lesnar is expected to win the title because Goldberg has not signed for any more dates outside of Wrestlemania), Meltzer notes that Roman Reigns is more than likely going to be the next champion when he feuds with Lesnar following his match with Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

Sad thing is he’ll probably still be a face since it’s against Lesnar

I’m really looking forward to watching Reigns retire Undertaker.

Reigns will add some much needed prestige to the Universal Title of this the direction they decide to go in after Mania

This is just another example of Vince “telling the fans what to like.”

This is why I was ok with Goldberg being uni champ. It’s a novelty title. It’s worthless compared to its counterpart on smackdown. Owens was a good champ but that’s the only blip in its history.

Its summer so who cares if Roman is universal champ I am going to watch Cubs dominate anyway
