Today WWE announced that they, and Rich Swann have mutually agreed to part ways. Swann had been suspended due to allegations of domestic abuse. The situation got more complicated because Swann's spouse had a former relationship with Jerry "The King" Lawler. WWE didn't want to fire Swann in fear that she might come out with stories of sexual abuse and harassment from the past. WWE's biggest fear is that the women's #MeToo movement will reach their doors. It seems Rich and WWE came to a mutual release. Swann is a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion; he made his WWE debut on NXT in 2016.
