As previously reported here at Wrestling News World, Kyle O’Reilly’s contract with Ring of Honor has expired. Negotiations broke down prior to his match against Adam Cole at Wrestle Kingdom 11 as O’Reilly opted to test the market. The Pro Wrestling Sheet website reports that O’Reilly’s contract status did not alter the match decision at Wrestle Kingdom 11 and the plan was for Cole to go over for the title.
Meanwhile, Kyle’s tag team partner, Bobby Fish, has re-signed with Ring of Honor, according to PWTorch.com. He had agreed to dates in 2017 on a temporary basis as he had interest from other companies including WWE but ultimately decided to stay put.
In addition to that, the Torch reports Jay and Mark Briscoe will see the 18-month contracts they signed with ROH Wrestling expire at the end of June 2017. They’ll be an interesting case to follow.
Ring of Honor made a list of talent they had to keep and they were able to retain those three names as we reported here on Wrestling News World Premium.
