Here are the full results and developments from last night's War of the Worlds show:

  • Dark Match: The Kingdom def. The Tempura Boys
  • Dark Match: The Rebellion def. Cheeseburger, Will Ferrara & Gedo
  • NJPW introduced a new title: IWGP United States ChampionshipJay Lethal was the first announced entrant into a round robin tournament for this belt.
  • Four Corner Survival: Dalton Castle def. Silas Young, KUSHIDA & Bobby Fish
  • Hangman Page def. Frankie Kazarian
  • Non-Title: IWGP Tag Team Champions War Machine def. Los Ingobernables De Japon and Search and Destroy
  • Will Ospreay def. Jay White. After the match, Punisher Martinez comes down and chokeslams them both.
  • 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Bully Ray & the Briscoes (c) def. Hirooki Goto & RPG Vice
  • Television Title: Marty Scurll (c) def. Matt Sydal
  • Tag Team Titles: The Young Bucks (c) def. Los Ingobernables De Japon
  • Hiroshi Tanahashi def. Adam Cole. After the contest, Cole got a send-off from Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks but then they introduced Marty Scurll as the newest member of the Bullet Club. They then beat the living hell out of Cole in the ring.
  • ROH World Title: Christopher Daniels (c) def. Cody and Jay Lethal

Here are some notes from our very own Thomas Fenton who was in attendance to see the show:

  • The four-way to open the show was fine but a little sloppy and a few mis-timed spots.
  • Hangman Page vs. Frankie Kazarian was fine but it had a weird spitting contest back-and-forth that got pretty disgusting. They were hawking big loogies.
  • The three-team match was another match that was fine if a bit sloppy and rushed. We had no idea why Sabin wasn't teaming with Shelley.
  • Will Ospreay is not going to make it to 25 if he keeps taking the bumps he is taking at his age. He had giant welts on his back and shoulders from hitting the guardrail and he landed on his head a few times. Nevertheless, his match against White came off greatly live and on PPV - easily a MOTY candidate.
  • The 6-man tag team title match got the crowd red-hot. There were about four unprotected chairshots to the head in this one.
  • Marty Scurll is super over and will be the next big thing in wrestling. Fans were into every single thing he did and barely reacted to Sydal.
  • The Bucks match was great with terrific timing.
  • Cole/Tanahashi was a nice change of pace and the angle afterwards with Scurll joining the Bullet Club blew the roof off the place. Adam Cole is definitely done in Ring of Honor while Marty's career is only getting better and better.
  • It looked like Jay Lethal may have tweaked his knee in the main event but I can not confirm that at this time.
  • Overall, the show felt rushed as some matches seemed to be cut short.
