TNA VICTORY ROAD COVERAGE: No Holds Barred Match: Sting vs. Bobby Roode

The bell rings and Roode and Sting make their way toward each other. Roode jaws at Sting, but Sting just smiles. We get a lock up and Sting backs Roode into the corner. Roode shoves Sting, so Sting slaps Roode across the face. We get another lock up, and Roode goes to work on Sting's arm. Sting is able to fight him off, so Roode bails out to the floor.

Roode makes his way back into the ring slowly. Another lock up, and Roode locks in a side head lock before both men trade holds. Roode eats a shoulder block from Sting, and a chop to the throat before Sting hip tosses him across the rope. Sting misses a Stinger splash, but he's able to catch himself and hit a big dropkick that sends the champ out to the floor.

Roode waves Sting off and heads toward the back, but Sting charges after him with a big running clothesline on the ramp. Sting lays Roode out on the ramp again with a big right hand. Sting takes Roode back toward the ring, slamming him head first into the ring steps.

Wow. Russo goes and that’s how they end a world title match? By making a veteran look totally unaware of ring positioning… Lame.

It was a bad ending, but it wasn’t a world title match.

Makes even more sense, right? Let’s have this guy as champion, but, he won’t defend at the PPV, instead he’ll face a guy who’s best days were a generation ago, in a meaninless match, you could just as easily have done on Impact.

Wow everyone doesnt realize the end of the ppv was a good way to make Roode look like a mega heal. Give it some time and see how this leads towards LockDown.
