TNA VICTORY ROAD COVERAGE: No Holds Barred Match: Sting vs. Bobby Roode

Sting screams in Roode's face, hitting him with punches, then clotheslines. Sting whips Roode into the ropes and hits a back body drop. Sting kicks at the backs of Roode's legs. Sting whips Roode across the ring and hits a big Stinger splash. Sting goes for another splash, but he misses and crashes in the corner. Roode heads up to the top, but Sting stops him with a right hand. Sting heads up to the top after Roode, hitting a giant superplex.

Sting clamps on the Scorpion deathlock right in the middle of the ring. Roode raises his hand, but he doesn't tap. He's able to make it to the ropes to force Sting to break the hold.

Roode rolls to the apron and hangs Sting up across the ropes throat first. Roode hits a spear and goes for the pin, getting a two count. Roode struggles to get to his feet, looking frustrated. Roode heads to the outside and looks under the ring, grabbing a steel chair. Roode slides back into the ring and grabs the chair, setting it up in the middle of the ring. Roode heads over to Sting and goes for a powerbomb, but Sting fights it off. Sting back drops Roode to the apron and catches him with a nasty right hand. Sting hits a scorpion death drop, but Sting drops the back of his own head on the chair that Roode had set up. Roode drapes his arm over Sting, and gets the three count.

Winner: Bobby Roode

Following the match, Roode sends Hebner flying from the ring and through the ropes to the outside. Roode heads over to Dixie, who's sitting in the front row. He grabs a chair that's laying at her feet and stares at her for a while before heading back to the ring. He slides the ring in the chair, then turns around and grabs Dixie, sliding her into the ring.

Dixie begs off, trying to avoid Roode. Roode screams at Dixie to look at Sting and shut her mouth. Dixie continues to try and back away. Sting is back on his feet, and he fights Roode off, sending him to the outside. Sting turns his attention to Dixie, and that allows Roode to come in from behind with a wicked chair shot to the back.

Roode seats Sting in the corner and goes under the ring again, grabbing a roll of duct tape. Roode tapes Sting's arms to the ropes, incapacitating him. Dixie rips at the tape, but Roode grabs her by the hair. Roode pulls Dixie over to the other side of the ring, and tells her to kiss his a**. Roode grabs the chair, and goes over to the corner, but Dixie shields Sting with her body.

Roode tosses the chair away and asks Dixie if she likes him. She tells her to look at Sting. He wipes some of the paint off of Sting's face and wipes it on to Dixie's. Roode tells Dixie that there's nothing she can do. The PPV ends with Dixie begging Roode to stop, and Roode pacing around the ring angrily.

    Wow. Russo goes and that’s how they end a world title match? By making a veteran look totally unaware of ring positioning… Lame.

      It was a bad ending, but it wasn’t a world title match.

        Makes even more sense, right? Let’s have this guy as champion, but, he won’t defend at the PPV, instead he’ll face a guy who’s best days were a generation ago, in a meaninless match, you could just as easily have done on Impact.

      Wow everyone doesnt realize the end of the ppv was a good way to make Roode look like a mega heal. Give it some time and see how this leads towards LockDown.
