Ambrose Shoots On Lesnar's Laziness, The Rock Frustrated, CM Punk Is Back, SummerSlam Lineup

Dean Ambrose & Brock Lesnar

- WWE Champion Dean Ambrose was Steve Austin’s guest on the Stone Cold Podcast live on the WWE Network after this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. Perhaps the most interesting moment of the podcast came when Austin asked Ambrose about his match at Wrestlemania 32 against Brock Lesnar. Ambrose said he went to the ring pissed off because he felt like he was pulling teeth to turn the match into something epic. He didn’t have much of a plan and had no idea what was going to happen. Ambrose said Lesnar didn’t want to do anything for the match and that he had a crazy idea that was met with laziness. Ambrose said they went out, whacked each other with some weapons and he got suplexed a few times. He said it was a helluva day.

- Below is the updated WWE SummerSlam lineup following this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw

* Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) vs. Randy Orton

WWE SummerSlam 2016 will take place Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. We’ll have complete live coverage here at

- Tonight’s episode of WWE Smackdown Live will emanate from the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California. John Cena isn’t expected to appear live as he’s overseas on the company’s tour of New Zealand and Australia. Dot com is questioning whether Bray Wyatt will continue to influence the growing tension between Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose. Make plans to join our Smackdown “Open Thread” at 8 PM EDT tonight here at for streaming live results and your discussion.

- Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman are scheduled to appear live on next week’s go-home to SummerSlam episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. Another promotional point for next week’s Raw is that Seth Rollins will “call out” Finn Balor’s alter ego, The Demon King.

- Braun Strowman squashed Jorel Nelson last night on Raw. Nelson is best known for his work for Championship Wrestling from Hollywood based out of Los Angeles.

- Randy Orton beat Bray Wyatt in a dark match main event after this week’s episode of WWE Raw went off the air. Orton turned a Sister Abigail attempt into the RKO and then scored the pinfall victory.

- WWE flew Roman Reigns via helicopter to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) after last night’s Raw so he could join the roster for the overseas tour of New Zealand and Australia. LAX is only 30 miles away from Anaheim, where Raw took place, but because of traffic, the best way to get Reigns there on time was by air.

- The Rock expressed frustration with some of his male co-stars in Fast 8, which he will finish shooting this week. Check out this post he made on Instagram: ”This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There's no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling - you're right. Bottom line is it'll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that's embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part. Final week on FAST 8 and I'll finish strong. #IcemanCometh #F8 #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses” You can view the post in its original format at this link.

- Lilian Garcia made the decision to walk away from WWE because the health of her father no longed afforded her the option of being on the road. She wanted to be there for him and knew she couldn’t kept calling in.

- CM Punk is about to return to the limelight with his fight against Mickey Gall at UFC 203 set for next month. FOX Sports 1 will premiere “UFC Presents: Evolution of Punk” on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 9:30 PM ET. The documentary will air in four parts and next week’s episode is set for 30 months and is titled “The Evolution of Punk: The Ground Up.” I just set my TiVO to record.
