Danny Davis announced on Monday that he has completed sell of majority ownership in Ohio Valley Wrestling to a private investor and he will step away from the promotion effective immediately. Davis founded OVW and has been in business for more than 22 years.
“I have been searching for the perfect person to carry on OVW's legacy and I believe I’ve found them.” Davis was quoted in a statement released by Ohio Valley Wrestling.
OVW has operated as an official developmental territory for both WWE and TNA Wrestling and has mentored more than 150 athletes to professional wrestling’s national stage. The new majority owner of Ohio Valley Wrestling will be introduced at this week's television tapings tomorrow night at the Davis Arena, 4400 Shepherdsville Rd. Louisville, KY. 40218. Doors open at 6:30pm. General admission seats are $5.
